Chapter 98: MCSDB Chapter 78 Exicitement Part 1
Fifteen days later.
Orochimaru and Jiang Xi arrived at another part of the Land of Fire's border.
"Whew!"
Seeing the surroundings that matched her brother's descriptions, Jiang Xi let out a long sigh of relief.
Over these fifteen days, she and Orochimaru had searched most of the Land of Fire's borders.
Just as Jiang Xi was beginning to doubt, they finally found it.
"Such a strong spatial fluctuation?" Upon arriving, Orochimaru raised an eyebrow, speaking with surprise.
"Orochimaru Sama, this is the gateway to the truth of the world. What do you think? Shall we go and see?" Jiang Xi smiled as she spoke.
"That's truly something to look forward to." Orochimaru's eyes gleamed as he smiled.
For Orochimaru, who sought the truths of the world, nothing could be more enticing.
"Pop!"
After Orochimaru nodded, Jiang Xi immediately created shadow clones.
"Xi, you're quite cautious. But if you want safety, wouldn't it be better to learn my techniques?" Orochimaru watched Jiang Xi's actions and smiled.
"Orochimaru Sama, your techniques are better suited for others. They're not for me." Jiang Xi chuckled, and then her shadow clones led Orochimaru forward.
Just kidding, they were about to enter the moon.
Even if the moon now likely only housed the Ōtsutsuki, Toneri, and his father.
They were still terrifying beings.
Orochimaru had nothing to worry about. But she was a different story.
Jiang Xi didn't want this login to end just yet. Even though her gains had already exceeded her expectations. But if there was a chance for more, she wasn't about to miss it.
No amount of caution was too much.
"Splash!"
As they stepped forward, layers of bubble-like spaces appeared before Orochimaru and Jiang Xi.
This was a strange space, filled with quartz-like stones. However, unlike the outside, there was no pond here, and above the cave was a glowing hole through which the sun could be seen.
The two crossed through these bubbles.
When they regained their senses, they found themselves in a vast ocean with a large landmass.
"Splash!"
The sea surged, and their figures seemed to cross some kind of barrier.
When they reappeared, they were in a desolate area.
"Such a miraculous spatial ability."
"Where is this?"
Orochimaru marveled, then curiously looked around.
And as he did, Orochimaru's pupils contracted sharply. His curiosity and amazement vanished in an instant.
As someone who truly understood the truths of the Naruto World, Orochimaru knew what the moon looked like.
And the surroundings now were unmistakably the moon.
This realization shocked him. They had crossed through that space and arrived on the moon.
"Xi, you've truly given me a big surprise. Is this really the moon?" Orochimaru spoke with astonishment, his gaze shifting to Jiang Xi.
He then looked at the distant blue planet.
"Orochimaru Sama, you guessed correctly. This is indeed the moon." Jiang Xi was also shocked, but she smiled as she spoke.
"Truly miraculous!"
"There's actually a path from Earth to the moon."
"But Xi, I assume the truth of the world isn't just this, is it?"
Orochimaru smiled, then looked at Jiang Xi with great interest.
His curiosity about Jiang Xi was growing.
She seemed to know far too much.
But due to Jiang Xi's abilities, which even he couldn't handle, these thoughts remained just thoughts.
"Orochimaru Sama, have you heard the tale of the Rabbit Goddess?" Jiang Xi smiled as she spoke.
"The Rabbit Goddess? Xi, you're not going to tell me this is related to mythology, are you?" Orochimaru's interest grew even stronger.
"Congratulations, Orochimaru Sama, you guessed correctly. What if I told you that the Rabbit Goddess is sealed here?" Jiang Xi's smile widened as she spoke.
But her words caused Orochimaru's pupils to contract sharply.
"Xi, you've truly given me a big surprise."
Taking a deep breath, Orochimaru's expression turned serious for the first time, his gaze deeply fixed on Jiang Xi.
…
"Surprised?"
"That's what I thought. After all, not many people in this world grasp the true nature of reality, and for them, it's not important. What matters is how to gain more power."
Jiang Xi spoke casually, his gaze drifting into the distance.
"Xi, you're right."
"However, I am an exception. I'm not interested in those trivialities. My interests lie elsewhere."
"For instance, the Rabbit Goddess."
"Xi, would you mind telling me more about her?"
Orochimaru smiled, his eyes also gazing into the distance, his tongue unconsciously licking his lips.
"Of course, it would be my honor to explain."
"Orochimaru Sama!"
Jiang Xi nodded with a smile.
The two then walked forward.
Orochimaru remained silent, and after organizing his thoughts, Jiang Xi began to speak slowly.
"The story of the Rabbit Goddess traces back to before the Rikudō Sennin."
"In ancient times, a being named Ōtsutsuki Kaguya, along with another named Ōtsutsuki Isshiki, descended upon Earth. They brought the Jūbi, the Ten-Tails, with the intention of planting the Divine Tree on this planet."
"However, planting the Divine Tree required not only absorbing the planet's natural energy but also the sacrifice of an Ōtsutsuki. Only then could the Divine Tree bloom and bear fruit. Although the sacrificed Ōtsutsuki could be revived through a process called 'Karma,' Kaguya clearly did not want to be a living sacrifice; she preferred to consume the fruit of the Divine Tree herself. In a fierce battle, Kaguya fought Isshiki and ultimately sacrificed the severely injured Isshiki to the Jūbi, gaining immense power by consuming the Divine Tree's fruit. With the power of her Bloodline Limit, she brought order to the chaotic world and was revered as the 'Rabbit Goddess.' Under the blessings and prayers of the people, she gave birth to two sons: her eldest, Ōtsutsuki Hagoromo, and her second son, Ōtsutsuki Hamura."
Jiang Xi's voice flowed steadily.
Orochimaru's expression gradually became more serious.
The mention of the Jūbi and the Ōtsutsuki made his pupils contract, and the idea of the Divine Tree's fruit made him lick his lips in anticipation.
"What a fascinating story! But Xi, there must be more to it, right?" Orochimaru's excitement was palpable as he looked at Jiang Xi.
"Of course! Orochimaru Sama, do you know the name of the Rikudō Sennin?" Jiang Xi nodded, then looked at Orochimaru and spoke slowly.
This statement immediately made Orochimaru's pupils widen in surprise.
"Xi, are you telling me that the Rikudō Sennin is either Ōtsutsuki Hagoromo or Ōtsutsuki Hamura?" Orochimaru took a deep breath, suppressing the turmoil in his heart, and spoke slowly.
"Congratulations, you guessed correctly, Orochimaru Sama. The Rikudō Sennin is Ōtsutsuki Hagoromo, the eldest son of Kaguya. Unlike his brother Hamura, who inherited their mother's Byakugan, Hagoromo inherited her Rinnegan." Jiang Xi nodded slowly.
"Byakugan, Rinnegan?" Orochimaru's pupils contracted again.
However, Jiang Xi did not give Orochimaru more time to be shocked and continued speaking.
