Multiverse Selection 3 Harry Potter Auden

Chapter 5: Chapter 5 The Founder Protection Project.

Helena began speaking about the secrets of the Founder Protection Project.

"A thousand years ago, when Hogwarts was built, the four founders started an era of order when the world only knew the way of chaos. Magical learning had no order or method. If you were lucky enough, your magical energy would be detected by a travelling wizard who might be kind enough to take you in and teach you the magic he or she knew.

Families or covens of magicians were incredibly rare at the time. Most of the children who accidentally showed magic were shunned by society or, in worse cases, killed by hunters. And when those who were smart enough recognized magic while being in a Muggle society tried their best to suppress their magical side, Obscurials would rise up and kill many around them and themselves in the end."

Dumbledore listened to tales of an era that laughed at the division and problems created by the separation between purebloods and Muggle-borns. Nicholas was saddened as he heard it but was not surprised. The era in which he lived might not have been as chaotic as Helena described, but it was still considered hellish when described to a modern wizard. Helena continued her story.

"After finding such an era, the founders were worried about the future, as they knew the chances of the system they created crashing after they passed on from this world were very high. And even though they could devise ways to postpone their passing, they decided to create an alternative to take their place after they died.

That was the Founder Protection Project. The project to create an immortal homunculus while including the blood and creativity of all four founders.

I still remember the day it happened—when they realized how far they had gone and what they had created." Helena continued with a dark tone.

1,000 years ago, Hogwarts Room of Requirement

"Haha, look at it. Look at the muscles on that thing—came straight from me, you know," Godric Gryffindor said as he winked at Rowena Ravenclaw on the other side of the room.

She rolled her eyes right back at him for that. Helga Hufflepuff giggled while watching, and Salazar Slytherin just shook his head.

All of them were currently analyzing their greatest project, their magnum opus. They knew that the successful creation of it would last for many millennia into the future.

Rowena started reading the files one more time.

"All right then. Founder Protection Project. Created by the four founders of Hogwarts. Test 231. Currently, we have managed to correct every possible problem that could happen. Unlike the other 230 tests, where doubts about the success of the test were present, this time, the doubts have been reduced to none. Commencing testing to start awakening protocols," Rowena said out loud as she recorded everything.

Salazar immediately activated a set of runes that spread across the entire crystal table, at the top of which a humanoid warrior was situated. It had been created by the combined efforts of all four founders.

Gryffindor took care of the cardiovascular structure. Rowena Ravenclaw handled the brain and nervous system. Salazar Slytherin made the magical pathways running through the body, while Helga Hufflepuff focused on the heart and other organs. The rest of the parts were also handcrafted by the other members. But they made sure to leave the face and a few discerning features blank, as they decided to let Magic form them.

The runes Salazar activated glowed a bright blue and flickered for a few moments before becoming steady—making all four let out a sigh of relief they hadn't even realized they were holding in.

"Looks like we're going to win this time," Helena said with a smile, to which the others nodded.

"Well, there's no use waiting anymore. Let's go," Godric said with the excitement of a child.

The others then came to the four corners of the crystal bed. Each of them made a small cut on their fingers and let the blood flow from the corners to the body at the center of the table.

After making sure that a sufficient amount of blood had been used, they each moved on to the next step and placed their arms on the slab.

"All right, make sure to give as much as 90 percent of what your stamina can handle," Rowena muttered, to which the others nodded. She then activated the circle.

The magical crystal began to absorb their magic and began assimilating it into the homunculus body at the center.

After making sure enough magic had been given, all of them stepped back and watched as the process began. All of them smiled as it continued—but soon, their smiles turned into frowns.

"Why is the body shrinking?" – Godric

"Is it failing right now?" – Salazar

"My calculations are wrong. Irritating… but at the same time, interesting." – Rowena

"Oh, it looks interesting." – Helena

As they watched with their magical senses, they sensed something utterly impossible according to their common sense.

"The… the heart is beating," Helena spoke out loud.

Back to the present.

Dumbledore and Nicholas were wide-eyed as they looked at the unconscious child again.

They could not believe what they were seeing—an impossibility according to all known laws of magic. Life could be modified, but never created. This was one of the unbreakable rules of magic. Even Transfiguration did not create living beings. It only created living constructs that vanished after some time.

They had made many speculations about the child before them, but they never thought they would see something like this.

"I thought there was nothing new left for me to see. Looks like it was fate for me to be surprised in my last days," Nicholas muttered. Helena then continued.

"I will not go into the details about what happened next, as it is private. All I can say is that the boy had a few problems that required a lot of magical power before he woke up. So the founders hid him in that room, with those runes absorbing magic for centuries. And your Philosopher's Stone helped cut down the time by at least a century," Helena finished, leaving the two geezers to speculate the rest.

At that time, Auden was having another thing going on in his unconscious mind.

A/N- hope you like it. Sorry for the slow pace. But I have a lot of ideas.
