Multiverse Selection 3 Harry Potter Auden

Chapter 7: Chapter 7 A Start.

A month later.

After waking up in the infirmary, Auden was bombarded with a lot of information that left him in a state of shock for several days. He had believed that his birth would be different from normal, but who would have thought he was a homunculus who turned into a human due to freaky magic?

From what he learned after waking up, the Founders had been trying to create an artificial being to guard Hogwarts and its values for eternity. But what they hadn't expected was that they had done such a good job that the magic began to work in ways they hadn't realized.

The original plan involved creating a humanoid body with no features. They expected their combined magic to form the rest on its own. But what they didn't foresee was the mechanical body transforming into that of a humanoid child—an eleven-year-old.

And when a heartbeat appeared, the Founders panicked. The artificial heart was only meant to pump fuel and magic silently. Heartbeats were never supposed to be there. What scared them even more was that the heartbeat was slowing down with time.

Creating life was something they had never imagined would happen—it violated a fundamental rule of magic. They discovered that, to sustain Auden's life, an enormous amount of magic had to be pumped into his body before he woke up. The amount was so vast that they had to modify Hogwarts itself to create a funnel of magic to supply the necessary energy for him to awaken gradually. They considered supplying it all at once using a special method, but they couldn't risk it, as later calculations showed that Auden's creation was the 0.01% statistical anomaly that should not have been possible. He was the impossible outcome. Moreover, they could only make theoretical calculations—any practical attempt might have created another life form in a state even worse than his.

Recently, the addition of the Philosopher's Stone had completely awakened him. After learning everything, Auden could only feel one thing:

What the hell is going on here? What homunculus? What awakening? What the hell is happening here?

All these questions overloaded his mind, and he wore a poker face on the outside. That, fortunately, worked in his favor—everyone assumed his blank expression was because he had just been born.

And while he was still in shock—

"If you all don't mind, I can help him integrate into society," Dumbledore stepped forward and declared.

Nicholas Flamel, the Bloody Baron, Helena Ravenclaw, and Madam Pomfrey all looked at him at the same time. Unlike most of the wizarding world, who saw Dumbledore as a great white wizard fighting for righteousness, all four of them knew the kind of as@@### he could become when it came to "the greater good."

Seeing the twinkle in the old man's eyes as he made that declaration, they knew he was planning to use the newly born child for his own ends.

Flamel, though feeling too weak, tried his best to clench his hand into a fist. The Baron and Helena strained their ghostly minds to come up with ways to strike him. Madam Pomfrey, who had seen countless students—including Harry Potter—brought into her infirmary, feared the old man might send this poor boy—who had just awoken from a centuries-long coma—right back into one. Quietly, she began preparing a few dangerous potions to throw at him. She might not be able to kill Dumbledore, but she might be able to buy enough time to call for help and get the child away.

But someone else was faster.

BAM!!

Just as Dumbledore stepped closer to the bed Auden was sitting on, a brick fell from the ceiling and landed squarely on his head, knocking him out instantly.

For a moment, the room was completely silent—until Helena spoke up.

"The castle actually has a consciousness of its own, and Auden can be considered its child in a way. So the castle will protect him when he is in danger."

The others nodded in understanding. A centuries-old castle that had hosted thousands of generations of wizards developing a consciousness was not unbelievable. But Dumbledore looking after this child's well-being? That was hard to believe.

So, before Dumbledore could wake up, everyone unanimously decided that Auden would spend the rest of the summer vacation with Flamel at his home, where he could integrate into society. Flamel agreed. According to his calculations, he wouldn't survive long enough to see the next school year, but he would have enough time to teach the child.

Dumbledore later woke up to find himself on the infirmary floor, alone.

Auden was now standing in front of two graves.

He gently placed down the flowers he had brought and quietly whispered "thank you" to the Flamel couple, who had looked after him during the past month.

When Nicholas had brought him home, Perenelle was genuinely glad to care for him in their final days. He watched as they did their best to teach him the common sense of both the Muggle and wizarding worlds.

Even though they should have been resting, knowing that death was near, they hadn't hesitated to spend their final moments ensuring that he was okay.

"I'll make sure to live my life well. And I'll always remember everything you've done for me," he whispered as he exited the garden and then the compound of the house. As soon as he stepped out, the entire house and its courtyard vanished—the alchemists had set it to destroy itself completely, along with their graves.

Auden stood still for a few more seconds, staring at the spot where he had lived for a time. Then he turned around and started walking. He touched the ring on his hand—a gift from the Flamel couple. It was a storage unit spanning hundreds of kilometers, and a quarter of it was filled with the entire Flamel fortune: gold, precious minerals, and tomes that would be considered priceless elsewhere.

He then gently took out four chess pieces he had stored earlier. The four pieces—the legacy left behind by the Founders for him to discover.

"All right, got some time before school starts. So let's have some fun."

A/N- hope you like it and every 100 powerstone gets extra chapter of Jason.
