Chapter 238: Pick: Hydrification, Ice, Storm, Swift, Blaze...

"I'm not exactly sure either," Uchiha Renzo said thoughtfully. "Maybe it's because Eevee didn't integrate those powers into Evolution forms?"
Fairy Tail Renzo nodded. "Could be. But Eevee, don't you still have two Articunos? Maybe try infusing them with some Ice Magic and see if it has any effect?"
"Also, any idea when you'll finally finish analyzing Articuno completely?"
That's a Legendary Pokémon, after all. If they could fully decode its powers, everyone's ice abilities would probably level up again.
"Not yet," Eevee said, shaking his head. "Legendary Pokémon are incredibly complex. I'll probably need a few more sessions at least—and that's with Articuno's full cooperation."
It was frustratingly slow.
Eevee was already seriously considering robbing Team Rocket again to get his paws on Mewtwo's DNA—or even Mewtwo itself.
A Psychic-type Legendary Pokémon with the potential to rival gods? That was way too tempting.
"Hurry it up if you can," Fairy Tail Renzo reminded him. "Looks like Takamagahara's recent evolution gave a massive boost to our ocular techniques and Omniscience analysis skills."
Let's not forget, those abilities are closely tied to Takamagahara itself now. Since Eevee's abilities leveled up, it only makes sense the rest of their abilities did too.
"Oh, right!"
Eevee finally remembered. He hadn't even tested the enhancements to his ocular techniques or Omniscience analysis yet.
"Well then, looks like I've got something fun to try when I get back!" Eevee grinned to himself.
"If there's nothing else," Uchiha Renzo said, "I'm heading back to check out the new Takamagahara. Maybe I can find a way to evolve my eyes to Rinne Sharingan."
Everyone else started nodding.
"Same here!"
"Seconded!"
"Hell yeah! Rinne Sharingan is just OP~"
"Alright then—meeting adjourned!"

Naruto World
Back in the shinobi world, Uchiha Renzo wasted no time testing out his upgraded ocular techniques.
And just as he expected, the results were off the charts.
"Man, this is way beyond the limits of the Eternal Mangekyō. Might even be on par with the standard Rinnegan now," he muttered. "Guess it's time to move on to the next phase of the plan."
With that, Renzo stood up and headed toward the joint training base of his two squads.
When he arrived, he found Kakashi, Asuma, and Obito all present and accounted for.
"Yo! Morning, everyone!" Renzo greeted with a wave and a grin.
"Morning, my ass!" Kakashi groaned, looking up with his usual dead-fish eyes. "It's already almost 10 a.m. You're getting lazier by the day."
Renzo scratched his head. Lately, he hadn't even been showing up in person—just sending shadow clones to handle training.
"Don't get it twisted. I've been crazy busy behind the scenes. I've got tons of shadow clones doing research every single day."
He waved the excuse off with a sigh, then cracked his knuckles.
"So how's that breathing technique I taught you coming along? Feel any stronger? Let's spar—I'll see for myself."
He shot a wicked grin at the group.
"Bring it on! Who's scared?" Obito shouted, charging forward with a blade.
Renzo sidestepped effortlessly, grabbed Obito's arm, and with a quick twist, flung him straight into a nearby tree. The poor guy barely managed to stay conscious.
Kakashi and Asuma joined the fight instantly, and Obito was right back on his feet for round two.
Half an hour later, the three of them were lying flat on the ground, gasping for air.
"I swear you just came here looking for an excuse to beat the crap out of us," Kakashi wheezed, rubbing his sore limbs.
"Totally," Asuma added, shooting Renzo a look full of betrayal.
"It was obvious from the start," Obito muttered, face bruised and body aching.
The three of them looked like they'd been through a war—bruised, battered, and utterly wrecked.
"Hey, Kurenai! Rin! I've got three healing dummies for you!" Renzo called out, ignoring their complaints.
Kurenai and Rin had just arrived, apparently drawn by the commotion.
The two girls were currently training in advanced medical ninjutsu and monstrous strength under Tsunade's guidance. They were now officially her students—along with Shizune, of course.
Renzo had personally arranged for Kurenai and Rin to become Tsunade's disciples.
"Hehe! Coming~!" Kurenai chirped, running over.
She threw herself into Renzo's arms and planted a kiss on his cheek.
"Haven't seen you in days! What've you been up to, huh?"
"Been working on cracking the secrets of Wood Release and the Hozuki Clan's bloodline. I've nearly finished deciphering Ice Release, actually." Renzo grinned as he spoke.
"You interested in that? I can whip up a dose for you."
"Can you not throw around sensitive info like that so casually?" Kurenai rolled her eyes. "Aren't you worried the Kirigakure might come looking for trouble?"
"I've already used the Uzumaki Sage Body serum, though," she added. "Can I even get another bloodline?"
"Of course you can. Who do you think developed this stuff?" Renzo lifted his chin proudly. "As for the Kiri? Who cares?"
"It's not like Kakashi and the others are gonna go blabbing. And even if they did—so what? I'm strong enough to ignore whatever noise Kiri makes."
"Plus," he continued casually, "I doubt they have time to care about us right now."
"You haven't heard? They've basically locked down the village. Looks like the Blood Mist era is about to kick off. Who knows if the Hozuki Clan will even make it through."
History sure has a way of repeating itself.
Apparently, that Obito stand-in, Uchiha Aiko, had lost his father and brother to Kiri shinobi and ended up hating the whole village. Just like the original Obito, he used his Mangekyō to secretly control the Fourth Mizukage, Yagura, and kicked off a reign of terror.
Renzo narrowed his eyes. "Something tells me Black Zetsu had a hand in steering things that way too... There's no way all this is just coincidence."
"What's the 'Blood Mist era'? And why would the Hozuki Clan disappear?" Kurenai blinked, confused.
Even Kakashi and the others nearby paused their training, curious.
"That's not something you need to worry about right now," Renzo said with a shake of his head. "Knowing too much too soon isn't gonna help you. Just focus on the training plans I gave you. Honestly, you're all still too weak."
"Come talk to me once you hit Kage-level. Then you'll have the right to know about this stuff."
"Kage-level, huh? Easy for you to say." Kakashi sighed, exasperated.
"What? You think that's out of reach?" Renzo snorted. "Have a little ambition, will you? Even Kurenai's not complaining."
"That's because she got the Sage Body serum," Obito muttered darkly, casting a side-eye at Renzo.
Sure, he got that Renzo was obviously going to favor Kurenai—everyone knew what was going on between those two—but it still stung. Watching her power skyrocket while the rest of them were grinding day after day... it was hard not to feel a little salty.
Honestly, Obito was even starting to wonder if being born a girl might've worked out better for him in this timeline...
"Tch tch." Renzo smirked, clearly picking up on their resentment. "And here I was thinking of giving each of you one or two bloodline limit serums... but if you're not interested, guess I'll pass!"
That got results.
"WAIT—NO!" Obito practically tackled him. "Boss! Please! Let me hug that thigh of yours!"
Renzo dodged with a sigh and kicked him away. "Ugh, fine! You win. I'll give you guys the serums."
"You can pick two from this list: Hozuki's Hydrification, Yuki's Ice Release, the Storm Release, Swift Release, Blaze Release that I personally developed, and a generic version of the Sage Body."
The full Uzumaki Sage Body serum was something Renzo didn't want to hand out lightly—out of respect for Kushina if nothing else.
So, he and Orochimaru had recently cooked up a more generic version of the Sage Body bloodline as an alternative.
"Hold up," Kakashi asked, confused. "What do you mean by 'generic Sage Body'? I thought the Sage Body was something only the Uzumaki clan had—like what Kushina-sensei has?"
"And those releases—Storm, Swift, Blaze—what are those exactly?"
Obito, Asuma, and Rin all leaned in curiously. Even Kurenai perked up.
"Exactly what they sound like," Renzo replied casually. "They're brand new bloodline limits Orochimaru and I developed together."
"Okay, mostly me. Orochimaru just helped with the technical side. But I'll let you guys be the first to use them. Don't expect the same treatment for anyone else in the village, though—this stuff costs a ton of contribution points."
Renzo gave them a subtle warning.
