Chapter 53: Leaving Beggarit
"The wrym only lived for his ideals, no one could escape the reach of his powerful arms. He was the second to die, a Dragon General, his scales green and gold, his life the most ephemeral of dreams. In the name of the second Dragon Emperor Shirad, I break his seal!!"
Under Kishirika's spell, the area around the rock began to curve like a cloud of smoke to reveal a ruin...
Philip took several steps back with a look of shock as he opened and closed his mouth like a fish out of water.
"I-I never thought magic like that existed!" He exclaimed in shock.
"There are many things we don't know about this world, father-in-law." With these words, Kishirika and I entered ruin.
Philip hesitated for a few seconds but entered anyway.
He walked quickly to take my shoulder, by the way he held me it was clear that he was scared by the place but I still kept walking.
"You know, I never knew why all these ruins always have the same division," I murmured to Kishirika who was walking in front of me.
"Oh, that? When my mother was young, she told me that the Dragonfolk created these structures like temples or something like that, but they were abandoned at the same time that the race became extinct." She murmured.
"hmm... So that's what happened..."
"Heh, I don't know, not even my mother knew for sure, when I was born the Dragonfolks were already in danger of extinction so I don't know much about them" she replied with a mocking smile.
I didn't say anything else and the three of us continued walking towards the basement of the place.
"Father-in-law, these are teleportation circles," I said to the man who was holding onto my shoulders tightly.
"I see... They look simpler than I imagined..." He murmured, his grip on my shoulders relaxing slightly.
"Simple? What did you expect then?" I asked.
"...I don't even know, I just thought it would be something sinister since it was taboo magic." He explained.
"Hehe, well you already know, teleportation magic is like any other magic, only the difference is that this one is too powerful," I muttered.
'In fact, the fact that it was banned never surprised me, teleportation magic was a failed result of the Dragonfolks trying to access the void world, But due to its uses, it was used for transportation, but later it was used for the mobilization of war troops, which led to its prohibition, a complete shame.
"Yes, yes, now let's all hold hands" Kishirika said and so Philip tightly took my hand as the three of us walked towards the teleportation circle.
I could even see him close his eyes and Kishirika holding back her laughter as best she could.
So the three of us jumped into the circle and were immediately sucked into the ground.
...
I opened my eyes as if I had woken up from a dream and found myself back in a ruined room, but instead of sand there were tree branches sticking out of the ground.
"Did it work?" Philip asked, still without opening his eyes.
Kishirika next to me was practically crying as she held back her laughter and I just sighed.
"Yes, father-in-law, it worked," I said in an embarrassed tone.
Shortly after, Philip slowly opened one eye and that was the straw that broke the camel's back.
"Hahahahahaha! I can't believe it hahaha, how can you be such a coward hahaha!" She laughed while clutching her stomach at my gaze.
But to my surprise, Philip said nothing and just sighed in relief.
"I'm still alive..." He muttered as a single tear fell from his right eye causing Kishirika to laugh even more, falling to the ground.
[Kishirika watch the baby!] I warned her but she continued laughing for a whole minute.
So without saying anything else the three of us left the ruins and were immediately greeted by the snowy atmosphere of the forest.
"A-are we really on the central continent?!" Philip exclaimed in surprise as he walked out of the ruins into the snow.
"Of course, right now we are one day away from the city of Sharia in the kingdom of Ranoa" I told him
"The kingdom of Ranoa?!" He exclaimed in surprise as he raised his head to the sky, the snow falling on his face slowly. "...I-I see... Teleportation magic is certainly relatively terrifying.."
With that the three of us left the ruins which immediately took the form of a huge rock in the middle of nowhere.
"So if it's illusionary magic..." Kishirika said in amazement "The DragonFolks surely created it to hide these structures and who knows what other structures they will hide" she said.
'Hmm... Now that I think about it, she's right. I'd never thought of that possibility'.
"Maybe we'll never know," I said, patting her on the shoulder and she snuggled up next to me.
"I definitely missed these climates... I never want to leave the central continent again! Deserts are not for me!" Philip declared, rubbing his hands together in the cold, but with a satisfied smile.
"..." I just looked at him without saying anything, I carried Kishirika in my arms princess style despite her protests and started walking through the forest.
"Father-in-law, follow me very carefully, if you get distracted you can get lost in this forest" I said and he hurried to walk behind me.
The forest environment was obviously snowy, snowflakes flooded my head while Kishirika snuggled into my chest.
The sound of snow and tree branches crunching under my feet was the only thing I could hear.
Now all that was left was to reunite with my mothers and Roxy... Then I'd finally be happy...
This thought brought a smile to my face as we walked through the forest.
But Philip elsewhere had felt uncomfortable due to the prolonged silence so he decided to speak.
"So? What are you planning to do after you know... all this about my rescue?" He asked as his gaze fixed on me expectantly.
I glanced at Philip and considered my answers carefully.
"I'll just look for a new place to live. Sharia City didn't seem that bad to me the whole time I was there," I replied with a smile. "Obviously I would get a job and eventually marry my fiancées," I replied.
"...I see, and you're not interested in taking over the Boreas house?" He asked again, showing off his cunning fox skills.
"Well... I always knew that my father was the legitimate heir of the Notos, but what would I have to do?" I answered and although I wasn't looking at him I could feel Philip smiling discreetly.
"Well that would be much easier than I originally planned, now that you were one of the world powers you would simply have to marry Eris and with your strength we can reclaim the Boreas house without anyone being able to oppose it" he said and I nodded.
"A genuinely tempting proposition, and if I did it I'd become a nobleman, wouldn't I?"
"Huh?... Haha! Yes, of course, but for someone with your power and current position, being a noble of a country isn't that big a deal, right?" He said and I nodded.
"Heh, I guess you're right, after all with a simple spell I could destroy all of Ars and form my own kingdom... What do you think about that Kishirika?" I asked her and she looked at me with a smile.
"Yes! Genocide!" She exclaimed.
'uuuh yeah... Forget it...'
Philip simply flinched at this casual comment and changed the subject.
"Besides that, with your aforementioned position, very few people would have the courage to impose themselves on your Rudeus, not even the king himself!" He said excitedly.
"Yeah, not even they could stop me, so it's a weird fact," I said with a smile and he nodded, letting out a slight sigh of relief.
'I never in my life thought I could have someone so powerful on my side... And the only price is letting him fuck my daughter! What a bargain!' Philip muttered in his mind as he smiled and rubbed his hands like a fly.
I simply looked at him out of the corner of my eye, ignoring his desire for power, and continued walking through the leafy forest.
...
We left the forest after an hour of walking and immediately Philip asked to rest.
Fortunately it was already getting dark so we decided to camp outside the forest which we did.
There was no general topic of conversation, Kishirika just snuggled up next to me and I kept my mana eye active watching my baby slowly grow inside her.
Philip, on the other hand, maintained a perpetual half-smile while dining on the wild boar meat previously roasted and hunted by me.
I don't know why, but just watching my son's life form inside Kishirika brought me a tremendous sense of peace.
So I couldn't contain my desire and hugged her tightly.
She immediately blushed like a tomato but didn't turn away.
[W-what's happening all of a sudden?!] She screamed in the Demon God language.
[Nothing, I just wanted to feel you] I answered which made her shudder slightly and blush even more in surprise.
I also found myself slowly caressing her belly repeatedly which made her shudder even more.
So after having a quick dinner we formed two earth igloos, one for Philip and one for us, and so we "slept."
Obviously the word sleep didn't apply to us as I fucked Kishirika doggy style all night while suppressing her moans with tongue kisses.
Although she didn't look physically different I could feel how much softer and smoother her skin was.
'Maybe it's pregnancy hormones?' I muttered in my mind, not denying the possibility.
After a little more than five rounds Kishirika begged for mercy so I came inside her for the first time that night.
I snuggled the dehydrated Kishirika to my side and got into position to sleep. Tomorrow we would begin our journey to reunite with my family...'
...
[Guesse Pov]
I opened my eyes from what seemed like a long sleep and found myself in the now familiar and comforting blank space.
*tap!, tap!, tap!, tap!,tap!*
The sound of a foot hitting the ground in frustration was the first thing I caught before my sight fixed on the faceless being already so familiar to me.
"Well?" He asked, his voice betraying his anxiety although he made no effort to hide it.
"Could you explain to me why you ran away from Millis before that bastard even arrived? You were supposed to see his skills and fighting style!" He shouted angrily, making me shudder.
"Haha... Well, I have no excuse for that in fact, I thought the North God would be enough to finish him off!" I replied.
"Well, it clearly wasn't like that! He even killed him and took his place in the world powers!!! Because of your incompetence, I lost a powerful pawn!" Hitogami screamed and I could only sigh without knowing what to say.
"You can't put all the blame on me, besides if he killed the North God then with just lifting a finger he would have killed me! I couldn't even have seen his abilities!" I tried to defend myself and Hitogami seemed to consider my answer carefully.
"At least you were able to find his identity?" He asked more calmly.
I relaxed immensely and nodded.
"Yes, his name is Rudeus Greyrat and he is Paul's son as you know" I said and he clicked his tongue.
Then he remained silent for a few minutes and stared at me.
"Badigadi is facing him!" He hissed angrily.
"There's no doubt! That black spot in my vision! I can't even hear his voice and I can't see him through Kishirika! And what the fuck is Badigadi doing in Beggarit?!" Hitogami shouted in frustration so I just kept quiet.
It wasn't long until Hitogami let out a loud cry of frustration as he grabbed his head.
"aaaaaagh!!! That bastard!, that bastard killed Badigadi!!"
"W-what? Badigadi the immortal demon?!" Immediately my whole body tensed as I imagined how powerful that Rudeus is.
Then Hitogami fell to his knees and didn't say anything for several minutes.
Even I didn't know what to say, if that Rudeus could kill a literally immortal being...
What couldn't he do against me? Just trying to confront him sounded like sure suicide.
"If only I could access his mind... I could trick him into facing Orsted..." Hitogami muttered and suddenly an idea formed in his head while a sinister smile formed to his face.
I sighed in relief at this, apparently not all was lost.
"You were close to Ghislaine Dedoldia and Zenith Latreia, weren't you?" He asked, I was momentarily confused but then nodded firmly.
"Very well, in that case I want you to stop hiding like a bitch and go to the central continent, right now I can see through Talhand's eyes that the two of them are traveling towards the Fittoa region" he said.
Huh?, the three of them?!
'Shit... Looks like I'd have to make enemies with them.'
"Now I want you to go and intercept them, use the teleportation circles and I'll take care of the rest..." With those words my consciousness faded and I woke up in my tent...
'I guess The Black Wolf's Fangs will reunite huh...'
[COMENT AND GIVE ME POWER STONES!!, NOW!!!]
