Yui Yuigahama packed up her bag and walked toward her two best friends.

During lunch break, she had received a message from Yukino.

Yukino had clearly explained that she and Su Yu would be visiting an animation studio to discuss the anime production.

She even asked if Yui wanted to come along.

"So Yui gets to be the first, then?"

"She was meant to be the first."

"I actually wanted you to be the first one to read it—"

"I hope you can stay faithful to Yui and stop saying things that might cause misunderstandings."

Yukino's expression grew complicated as she looked at him directly.

Su Yu smiled.

"Alright. But on one condition."

They reached the shoe lockers.

"What condition?" Yukino opened her locker.

"A staring contest. If you win, I'll give up on liking you. But if you lose… you have to grant me a favor."

Su Yu spoke clearly, his tone firm.

Yukino hesitated for a moment before turning to him.

"And how do we determine who wins?"

Su Yu switched into his outdoor shoes, then turned to face her directly.

Yukino saw the playful look in his eyes—

And immediately recalled how she had lost every single staring contest with him before.

"If I explain the rules now, you'll probably lose instantly, Yukino."

Su Yu smirked.

"I won't lose this time."

Yukino clenched her small fists and stared right into his eyes.

Their gazes locked.

Neither backed down.

Su Yu stepped closer—

His eyes never wavering, his smirk deepening.

Yukino's face reddened rapidly under his intense gaze.

She wanted to look away—

But after what she just said, she couldn't.

If she looked away now, it would mean—

Defeat.

"Director Yukinoshita… I sincerely hope your first project fails."

"That way, according to our agreement, I can—"

"I will not let you have your way!"

Yukino cut him off immediately.

Su Yu grinned and finally broke eye contact, walking toward the school entrance.

Yukino exhaled softly, then quickly followed him.

At the School Gate

A black luxury car was waiting outside.

A woman in professional attire greeted them with a bow and opened the rear door.

Su Yu reached the car door first—

But instead of getting in, he stepped aside and gestured for Yukino to go first.

Yukino glanced at him briefly before getting in without hesitation.

Su Yu followed and sat beside her.

"Miss Yukinoshita has prepared outfits for both of you."

The woman in professional attire said softly from the front seat.

"Please change before arriving at the studio."

"Then let's go to my place first."

Su Yu turned to Yukino.

Yukino stared out the window, offering no response.

Su Yu smiled knowingly.

The woman understood and started the car.

At Sakura Dormitory

The car stopped outside the entrance.

The woman—Haruno's secretary—stepped out and politely handed Su Yu the outfits.

Su Yu glanced at Yukino.

"Please wait for us here."

He told the secretary.

She nodded silently, having already received instructions from Haruno.

Haruno had explicitly stated to treat Su Yu as Yukino's boyfriend—

So she fully understood the situation.

Su Yu pushed open the dormitory gate and walked in.

He glanced toward the driveway—

"No sign of Shizuka Hiratsuka's car. She's probably still out."

He started up the stairs.

Yukino watched him go, her cheeks tinged pink.

She had originally assumed Hiratsuka would be home.

But now…

"What's wrong, Miss Yukinoshita? Are you scared?"

Su Yu's voice drifted from the stairs, carrying a teasing lilt.

Yukino's face darkened.

Then, she took a deep breath and walked up confidently.

Of course, she wasn't afraid—

But that didn't mean she trusted Su Yu completely.

"Relax. I won't do anything to you."

"Besides, I can't even beat you in a fight."

Su Yu said with a grin.

Yukino paused.

Then, realizing their physical strength difference, she laughed softly and kept walking.

A few steps later—

She noticed that Su Yu wasn't following.

Curious, she turned back—

And saw him staring at the courtyard's sakura tree.

"The sakura tree is so white."

Su Yu murmured.

Yukino blinked in confusion.

"White? But… sakura trees aren't white—"

Then, realization hit her like lightning.

A gust of wind had blown past.

She immediately pressed down her skirt, her face turning scarlet.

Her gaze sharpened as she glared at Su Yu.

"If looks could kill, I'd be dead right now."

Su Yu chuckled and continued up the stairs.

Yukino felt an overwhelming urge to throw him over her shoulder.

"Yukino, it was an accident."

*"But if you want to get even, I can let you *look at—"

"Shut up!"

Yukino snapped.

Su Yu smiled innocently and kept walking.

Truthfully—

It really had been an accident.

The wind had blown at the exact moment he looked up.

And in school? The angle of the stairs would've blocked any view.

As they reached Su Yu's apartment door, he unlocked it and stepped aside.

"After you, Miss Yukinoshita."

Yukino snatched the outfit from his hand and stormed inside.
