Chapter 167: The Magus World

Ethan called Rose, and together they went straight to the space gate of that world.

Then he told her what he wanted to do.

Rose was very happy that a part of her would be able to grow up with Ethan and could stay by his side in life-and-death situations because in this world,Ethan was just too powerful.

Ethan then summoned Nexus. But since Nexus's body was seventy-six times larger than the universe itself, he could only manifest in a smaller version.

"Sire, your servant is at your service."

"Nexus, you are more proficient in the Law of Reincarnation, so I want you to perform this process. First, send Rose's soul, then send my soul near where she would go."

"As you wish," Nexus replied politely.

He then turned his gaze toward Rose.

"My Lady, if you give me your permission, I will begin the process."

Rose was still in a daze. This was the first time Ethan had summoned Nexus infront of her, and she didn't know what it was. But the moment she looked at this shadowy being, she felt a tremendous threat—as though it could erase her existence with only a glance.

Yet, despite its terrifying presence, it was addressing her with such respect. That alone made her feel good. She looked at Ethan's handsome side profile and smiled.

"Okay," she said softly.

Soon, the Law of Reincarnation surrounded her but instantly, it disappeared.

Ethan was surprised.

"What happened?"

"Sire, please forgive me," Nexus answered. "The Law of Reincarnation cannot be performed on her. Her soul is incomplete."

"Incomplete soul? What does that mean?" Ethan asked with doubt.

Nexus explained, "It is just as it sounds, Sire. Madam's soul is splitted, and what you see here is only a portion of it. She will not be able to break through to Tier 10 unless she regains at least two more portions of her soul."

Ethan was genuinely surprised.

"What is this new plot? Rose has several portions of her soul? Where are the other portions? I haven't sensed anything like them in this Chaos Verse. Are they scattered all across the infinite Chaos Verses or something?"

"Nexus, do you know any way to find her soul?" he asked again.

Nexus shook his head.

"Sire, perhaps if you break through to Tier 18 or higher, you may be able to search the whole of the reality."

"Reality?" Ethan echoed.

"I do not know much," Nexus admitted, "but I have gathered enough information over the years to tell you this much that our Chaos Verse is just a small droplet within a greater reality."

This entire conversation was happening in their minds, so Rose didn't hear a thing.

Ethan looked at her happy face. A wave of sadness washed over him,she couldn't go with him. He had truly been looking forward to this.

He then said, "Rose, the Law of Reincarnation cannot be performed right now. Why don't I take you to visit another world instead?"

Rose looked at him and smiled.

"Okay. When will we go?"

Ethan thought for a moment.

"Let's go in three days."

Rose nodded.

Ethan waved his hand, and Rose vanished from the place.

He then looked at Nexus.

"Okay, begin the process now."

Nexus nodded, and the Law of Reincarnation engulfed him. Soon, a tiny portion of Ethan's soul separated from his body.

Ethan placed everything according to his plans inside that portion of soul.

Afterward, the portion of his soul entered the space gate.

Now, in the Magus World.

The Empire of Lukedonia.

The fifth concubine of the Emperor was giving birth for the first time. She was the most beautiful concubine of the Emperor, Cadis Entrama Di Raizel.

He paced anxiously outside the chamber while ten midwives attended his wife.

Soon, a loud cry echoed from within.

The head midwife emerged with a bright expression on her face, carrying an infant in her arms.

"Your Highness, Her Highness has given birth to a prince. In my five hundred years as a midwife, I have never seen such a handsome child."

She was not lying, nor was she flattering. She had also overseen the births of the first, second, and third princes. Declaring the fifth prince the most handsome brought her no benefit,it was simply the truth.

Raizel looked at the boy. The infant was no longer crying but staring back at him with his sapphire-blue eyes, filled with curiosity.

As one of the thirteen Archmages of the empire, Raizel could feel that this child of his was truly special.

He held the boy in his arms and smiled.

"You will be called Ethan Di Raizel."

Cadis Di Raizel gazed at his newborn son, who was smiling at him in return.

He then looked at the midwife.

"You have done a great job. Here is your reward."

He handed her a supreme-grade mana stone.

Her hands trembled as she received it. The Emperor had never been this generous with his other children. At most, she had received mid-grade mana stones. She had expected the same this time as well but instead, she was rewarded with a supreme-grade treasure. Her five hundred years of midwifery were repaid in full with this one stone.

"Thank you, Your Highness. I am not worthy of such a treasure, my lord."

Cadis Di Raizel smiled.

"You have earned it. Now, take him to his mother. He must be hungry."

The midwife, Enaya, carried Ethan into the room.

His mother, herself a Grand Magus, had already recovered to her peak condition already.

When she saw Enaya enter with her son, she smiled and reached out for him.

Enaya gently placed Ethan in her arms.

"I am Trina Aurelias. I am your mother, Ethan. Welcome to my life, my precious son."

She had also heard when his father named him. In fact, the entire empire had heard it.

The fifth prince was officially named Ethan Di Raizel.

Meanwhile, back on Earth, Ethan was in the lab. The final process was about to finish. Soon, he would merge the DNA synthesis system with his suit.

Ethan thought, his soul might have already enterered someone's womb. But what he didn't know was that,

The time in the Magus World flowed much faster than on Earth—

one day here equaled one year in the Magus World.
