I then had Liza interpret for Sherry and Riruru.

Apparently, Riruru was going to use this opportunity to teach Sherry some fighting techniques.

Sherry had grown quite a lot. When we had first found her, she would not have been able to keep up with the others when they ran.

I thought she was very cute, and we could still pick her up. But she would eventually reach the same size as the others.

After talking with Riruru, the two other fenrirs faced each other while Leo turned to them and barked.

I nodded at Claire and planted my feet firmly on the ground so I would not be knocked away while watching.

Even though they would not be using magic, we still had to stand far away in order to not be hit by anything.

"Who do you think will win, Mr. Takumi?"

"Huh? Hmm… Riruru said that Fen will win. But I think it will be Feri."

Sebastian asked while standing behind Claire.

"I see… And what about the rest of you…"

"I also think it will be Feri. He must be strong if he is the leader of the pack."

"My bets are on Fen."

Sebastian then asked the others for their predictions. It seemed that more people thought that Feri would win.

"Now, I will take you chips. I will…bet on Fen as well."

"Sebastian, I bet on Feri."

"Certainly."

I saw that Sebastian was going around and collecting money.

Even Claire handed him some.

"What about you, Mr. Takumi? It's one silver to participate."

"Silver… Are you sure about this?"

"There is no problem. While the rate might be a little high, we do this regularly."

In Japan, that would be nearly ten thousand yen.

It was definitely expensive for just participating. But I suppose it was because everyone here was related to the duke.

According to Sebastian, they did such things often.

There were some rules put in place. Such as not being able to borrow, or needing to be an adult. But otherwise, it was seen as a little diversion during any competition that might occur.

"Alright, I will join you. As I said before, I'm going with Feri."

"Yes, certainly."

Sebastian accepted the silver coin.

Apparently, that was all that was collected, and you could not raise the amount. And the people who won would split the winnings equally.

Well, if they allowed you to bet as much as you wanted, then it would make things more complicated and difficult to calculate…
