My Beloved Dog is the Strongest in Another World

We washed Leo and Feri

"Hey, Leo. Don't open your mouth, alright?"

Perhaps Liza and Tilura had poured a little too much water on her, as Leo opened her mouth and tried to bark.

Well, we were supposed to wash her face at the very end, so she must have been surprised by Liza and the others.

"Good, good. I see that Feri is behaving very well."

"Gurr? Gurr…?"

"Ah, you don't have to reply. If you open your mouth, you will become like Leo."

"Gurr."

Feri seemed to be puzzled. At this point, he was likely wondering why Leo had told him that this would be a horrible experience, when all we were doing was pouring water on him.

"Haha. Yes, that happens when they are wet. Still, it does make them look a lot smaller. Even though they are still big compared to humans."

"Yes. The difference with Leo is even more obvious now."

Ms. Lyra agreed with me.

This often happens when washing furry creatures like dogs and cats. They look a lot smaller when wet.

Strangely, Leo didn't shrink down nearly as much… Perhaps it was because her fur was different?

Feri's fur was fluffy and resembled the wool of a sheep…

Leo's fur was very smooth and soft to the touch.

"No, let's get to the actual washing part. Uh…"

"Here, Mr. Takumi."

"Ah, thank you."

After rinsing them off, it was time to remove the dirt.

Ms. Lyra passed me a bucket that was filled with soap bubbles.

This soap was the same kind that we humans used, but it was not as strong as the soap I used in Japan.

I suppose it was because it was made of natural ingredients, and did not contain any chemicals.

So it was fine to use on Leo… Though, it likely didn't matter, as Leo's fur was a lot tougher than human hair or skin.

"Now, please wash the fur while being careful to remove the dust and dirt from in between… Also, try not to pull too hard when untangling the fur."

"Okay!"

"Some of the dirt…is difficult to remove…"

"Hmph…gah. It's hard to know how strong to scrub…"

Ms. Chita was enthusiastic, Alfred was struggling, and Ms. Jane was trying to figure out how much force to use.

I had had that problem at first, and would end up pulling Leo's fur…

"You're going to be very clean, mama!"

"Leo's fur is very nice when it's clean."

"Kuunn…"

When I looked over to Leo, I saw that Liza and Tilura were talking while washing her.

Leo was whimpering, but was sure to keep her mouth closed.

"Well, it looks like it might take some time to finish Feri."

Feri was now covered in bubbles, with the exception of his head.

He was rinsed off once, but on closer inspection, we saw that he was still filthy… Even before the fight, he had not been cleaned in a long time.

Feri kept his eyes closed, but he was now making impatient noises through his nose.

It was like the kind of squeaky sounds that Sherry made.

Regardless, I told him to wait a little longer as I scrubbed him with the soap.
