My Beloved Dog is the Strongest in Another World

I spoiled Leo until she was satisfied

"It looks like Feri and Fen are sleeping soundly in the garden."

"Well, they had been fighting earlier today. It must be tiring, even if they were not injured."

After eating dinner, they went out into the garden to roll around on the ground.

They were probably having fun dreams tonight.

"Wuf. Wuff-wuff."

"Weaklings… Well, I guess you can say that, Leo. Haha."

While playing with Liza, she must have overheard us, as she let out a sigh.

From her perspective, that fight had been nothing.

"Hmm?"

"She is already asleep."

"Wuff."

"Liza had an exciting day, so she must be tired."

"Allow me, Mr. Takumi…"

"No, I'm fine. I am like her parent, after all."

I said as I picked her up and placed her on the bed.

"Kuun…kuun."

"Oh? What is it, Leo?"

"Wuff. Kuun. Kuun."

Leo rubbed her head against me.

She did this when she wanted to be petted.

"Haha. I see. Now that I think about it, I told you I would do it later, when I was still petting Feri and the others."

"Wuff."

"Okay, okay. There now…"

"Kuu…"

She was my reliable partner, and so I had to keep her happy. And so I decided to stay with her until she went to sleep.

"Kuuun…kuunn…"

"Le-leo… Haven't you had enough?"

"Wou?"

"Alright. Don't look at me like that. You know I can't refuse."

"Kuun."

It was getting late, and normally we would have been asleep by now. But I fought off my sleepiness in order to pet Leo. But she would not go to sleep.

Well, I had been leaving her to play with Liza and Tilura a lot recently. Maybe that was why.

Ultimately, I ended up getting very little sleep that night. However, Leo was in such a good mood the next day, that even the others were surprised. So I had no regrets.

"Now, Mr. Winfield. There was something I wanted to ask you."

"Ask me…?"

It was not the day that I was to make my decision.

Up until now, I had confided in Claire, Sebastian and the others. And so I was decided on everyone aside from Winfield.

Well, it wasn't as if I was good at seeing through people… However, I thought it would be best to just talk to him.

And so I called him to my room and told him to sit down.

Ms. Lyra and Ms. Gelda were also present. Also…Claire, Sebastian, Leo and Liza were also hiding outside of the window.

Obviously, Winfield had no idea about that.

We were currently sitting together on opposite sides of the table.

Claire and the others would only be able to see him from behind, but I had opened the window a little so that they would hear. Apparently, they intended to act if anything happened.

Ah, Liza. Don't wave at me like that… Mr. Winfield might turn around and see you…
