My brother is called Uzumaki Naruto

Chapter 6: Goal

When Minato brought Yue home, Kushina had just finished preparing lunch. Seeing this slightly exhausted father and son pair walk through the door filled Kushina's heart with happiness.

As a mother, perhaps nothing could make her happier than this kind of moment.

"Oh? Yue is really amazing!"

After listening to Minato recount their morning training, Kushina was astonished. Such a level of talent was unheard of in the ninja world—even the God of Shinobi, Hashirama Senju, and Uchiha Madara had never been recorded as having such extraordinary gifts in their childhood. Their reputations had been forged through countless wars of the Warring States period.

"Yue, have you thought about what you want to do in the future?"

Yue looked up at his parents. To be honest, he had thought about this question before but never found an answer.

Right now, he was training desperately just to become stronger—to avoid being killed. As for when he grew up, he would definitely have to complete that experiment from his previous life.

In Yue's vision, if he succeeded, he might just… achieve immortality!

But as for a life plan in this world? Yue had no real thoughts on that. He felt that the people of this world were ignorant and backward, and nothing truly interested him—except for the bizarre and mysterious ninjutsu.

"Not yet," Yue answered, staring intently at his bowl.

"That won't do! What do you think about becoming Hokage? The village is currently electing the Fourth Hokage, and Little Sun has a very high approval rating. If Little Sun becomes the Fourth Hokage, you should also train hard and contribute to the village—maybe one day you could become the Fifth Hokage! Then our family would have two Hokage!"

As Kushina spoke, she seemed to get lost in her imagination, her face full of longing.

"Father is going to be Hokage?"

Hearing this, Yue turned his gaze toward his father.

"It's still uncertain for now, but in yesterday's jōnin meeting, I did receive the majority vote. Next, we have to see if the Daimyō of the Land of Fire and other high-ranking officials have any objections."

Yue could tell that Minato was excited yet also a little anxious. After all, Yue knew that this had been his parents' dream since childhood, and now it was about to come true.

A goal of twenty years—anyone would be emotional at this moment.

But Yue found it unbelievable that the village needed the Daimyō's approval to elect a Hokage.

In Yue's view, if they didn't want to deal with politics, they could just kill the high-ranking officials of the Land of Fire. If they were worried about the consequences, they could simply use genjutsu to control them. And if they were afraid of genjutsu being discovered, they could manipulate them through political maneuvering. After all, the military strength of ninjas was more than enough to crush them completely.

As for the notion that all the Daimyō were part of the same family? Well, weren't ninjas also a family of their own?

"Yue, what do you think about Mom's suggestion? Becoming Hokage is a great honor!"

Kushina wasn't about to let Yue brush the question aside. She felt that helping him establish a life goal would be beneficial for his personality.

Yue paused mid-bite, his expression turning blank.

His thoughts weren't on being Hokage. Instead, he recalled his past life, where he had been tormented by illness. In his desperate fight against it, he had continuously studied biology and medicine, only to fall short at the final step.

"I just… want to live."

At that moment, Yue understood—despite having parents, a home, and an incredibly healthy body in this world, his purpose in life remained the same as before: survival.

But Yue also understood that this was a world where the strong devoured the weak.

An individual's power could shatter all rules, create both evil and tragedy—and he wasn't someone who specialized in law, politics, or governance.

Yue had witnessed the darkest sides of human nature. That was why he needed enough power to control his own fate, rather than relying on the mercy or pity of others.

Minato and Kushina exchanged a look, both surprised by Yue's words.

"Why would you think that, Yue? Mom and Dad are strong enough to protect you from harm. And if you think the ninja world is too brutal, you don't have to become a ninja at all."

To Yue, the conversation had already lost its meaning. He felt that his perspective was simply too different from his parents', and he wasn't the type to enjoy lengthy discussions.

"I'm full. I'll go take a nap."

Yue hopped off his chair and headed straight to his room, leaving Minato and Kushina staring at each other in silence.

"Sigh, what a little grown-up he is. A child so young, yet carrying so many burdens in his heart… If he doesn't open up to us, I'm afraid he might take the wrong path."

"Don't worry, Kushina! I'll always be here with you, guiding Yue properly."

Minato took Kushina's hand and reassured her.

"Oh, right! Little Sun, don't you have a meeting this afternoon? You need to hurry up and finish eating! You absolutely must secure the Hokage position!"

"It's about time—I should get going."

"Mm! Do your best!"

At that moment, Yue lay on his bed, staring at the ceiling, lost in thought. He had always been contemplating his future.

But one thing was certain: he had to complete the experiment that had once cost him his life!

From a scientific perspective, human death resulted from the natural decline of bodily functions. As people aged, their physical abilities weakened, and their cells gradually died off.

The regeneration of physiological functions was also subject to decay. Eventually, humans lost the ability to generate new cells, leading inevitably to death.

In his previous life, Yue had suffered from a rare disease where his organs deteriorated three to four times faster than normal. This had driven him to obsessively conduct experiments in an attempt to make his cells regenerate endlessly without losing their vitality—his ultimate goal being immortality.

Had he simply had more time, he might have succeeded.

After arriving in this world, Yue had once asked Kushina to let him use the hospital's microscope to observe his own cells. He discovered that, structurally, the human cells in this world were nearly identical to those on Earth—except that they were about three times more numerous and significantly smaller. This explained why people in the ninja world were so much physically stronger.

This also meant that his experiments could continue seamlessly. Once he grew up and acquired the necessary equipment and resources, he was confident that he could complete his research. Yue was certain that he could achieve immortality—as long as no one killed him.

After all, any living thing that gets killed… dies.

"But still… I should find something to do with my life. Before, I studied for survival. Now, without that pressure, it feels strange. There are so many people strong enough to kill me, but I haven't faced any real danger. Being under the protection of my parents and the village… it's hard to stay motivated."

Yue had incredible determination, but at this moment, he felt lost.

"Right… From the history books of this world, it seems that the ninja world has never been unified and has always been at war. Maybe I should start with a small goal… helping Father unify the entire continent!"

His blue eyes slowly widened, glinting with the light of madness…
