My brother is called Uzumaki Naruto

Chapter 9: Mind’s Eye

The family was happily eating together. Kushina was clearly overexcited, talking nonstop throughout the entire meal. Of course, she wasn't focused on eating—she was busy talking.

"Yue, you're the son of the Hokage now. You can't keep acting so withdrawn! You need to be more cheerful. Maybe not as much as that 'Little Sun,' but at least try to make more friends, alright? You hear me?"

"Mm, got it!"

In the past, whenever Yue was asked something like this, he never gave a direct answer. He didn't want to lie to his parents, but he also couldn't bring himself to befriend a bunch of little kids. Normally, he would just avoid the topic. But today, since the mood was good, he didn't want to ruin it—so he simply agreed. Hearing his response, Kushina became even more delighted.

"Oh, right! I promised to grant you one request earlier. Have you decided what you want?"

Yue looked up at her. Coincidentally, he had something he wanted to ask Kushina about.

"Mom, I think I've awakened some kind of special ability. I can sense the chakra of people around me, and when training with Itachi, I can sort of predict his movements. I was looking through some books about the Uzumaki Clan and found a technique called Kagura Mind's Eye. It sounds a lot like what I'm experiencing. Can you explain it to me?"

Kushina was surprised. If Yue could sense other people's chakra, then he had likely awakened the Kagura Mind's Eye. But predicting movements? That was new.

"Yue, try sensing my chakra."

"Mom, your chakra is enormous… and your stomach feels a bit strange. Is that a seal?"

Yue had done this before. Among everyone he had ever sensed, Kushina's chakra reserves were by far the most terrifying—completely overwhelming Minato's. Most of it was concentrated around her abdomen, as if suppressing something.

"So he really has awakened the Kagura Mind's Eye... But what about predicting movements?"

Kushina was both amazed and puzzled. It was shocking that Yue, at just four years old, had awakened an ability that most Uzumaki clan members couldn't even achieve. But what confused her was the predictive ability—had his Kagura Mind's Eye mutated?

"Yue, close your eyes for a moment."

Minato suddenly spoke up. Yue obediently shut his eyes.

Once Yue's eyes were closed, Minato quickly reached out to grab his arm. At the same time, Yue instinctively dodged, his other hand shooting out to grab Minato's in return.

Even though Minato had slowed down his movement on purpose, it was still far too fast for an average person—let alone a four-year-old child. But Yue had almost reacted in time.

"Incredible sensory skills… If he keeps developing this, he'll be nearly immune to sneak attacks."

"What do you think, 'Little Sun'?" Kushina asked eagerly.

"I'm not sure. It might be an extension of the Kagura Mind's Eye. But there's nothing to worry about—this is a great ability, very practical."

Yue opened his eyes and quietly sat at the table, watching his parents.

"Don't worry, I feel fine. But I do have a request—I'd like Mother to teach me some of the Uzumaki Clan's secret techniques."

From his research, Yue had realized that the strongest ninjas all possessed either a kekkei genkai or some unique jutsu. His mother, Uzumaki Kushina, was a member of the once-powerful Uzumaki Clan—before they were wiped out by mysterious forces. But Yue wasn't fooled; he suspected those so-called "mysterious forces" were just the major nations.

He had always wanted to ask Kushina if she knew any Uzumaki techniques. But on one hand, he worried she might not have any, and given his parents' personalities, they'd probably just end up feeling guilty about it. On the other hand, he didn't want to bring up painful memories.

But today, Yue couldn't hold back anymore, so he finally asked.

"Kagura Mind's Eye, huh? Let me think… where did I put that scroll?"

Since Kushina was the Uzumaki Clan's princess, she had brought the clan's entire heritage with her when she came to Konoha. She had personally kept all those materials, and no one else knew where they were.

Kushina dashed off into another room to search, leaving father and son alone at the table. They exchanged looks, neither speaking.

"Yue, let me teach you a couple of jutsu first. I always thought you were too young for this, and I didn't want you to hurt yourself. But now, I can see I was worrying for nothing. I trust that you'll be careful."

Hearing this, Yue was excited—he was finally going to learn ninjutsu!

As a scientist in his past life, Yue was deeply fascinated by these seemingly "anti-scientific" abilities.

"Thank you, Father."

"I found it!"

Kushina's voice rang out from the room. She emerged carrying two small scrolls and walked straight to Yue, placing them in his hands.

"This one contains information on the Kagura Mind's Eye—how to awaken it and some training insights from past users. Honestly, not many people in the clan ever succeeded in unlocking it. I only awakened mine by accident, and you don't need this step anymore. But these training notes are really valuable—study them well!"

"And this one has some basic sealing techniques from the clan. I'm giving it to you now! As for more advanced ones, those will have to wait until you're older."

She pressed both scrolls into Yue's hands, ruffled his hair, and gave him a big smile full of encouragement.

Yue hugged the scrolls to his chest and looked up at her, then glanced at Minato. He could feel the deep love his parents had for him.

In his previous life, he had never experienced anything like this. Even though he had felt their love many times over the past four years, every moment still moved him.

He might seem distant toward his parents most of the time, but in his heart, they were his highest priority.

"Thank you, Otōsan. Thank you, Okāsan."

"What's with the thanks? We're your parents!"

Kushina waved it off, then suddenly turned serious.

"Yue, even though you haven't enrolled in the Academy or received a forehead protector, with your skills, you can already be considered a ninja. So listen up—there are three rules every ninja must follow!"

Minato hesitated. "Kushina, isn't it a little early for this?"

"Of course not! Yue, listen carefully!

First Rule: Don't waste money. The rewards from missions should be saved, not squandered.

Second Rule: No drinking. You're not allowed to touch alcohol until you're eighteen.

Third Rule: No womanizing. You must not be obsessed with women!"

Kushina's expression became even more serious.

"And for our family, there's a fourth rule—stay away from that idiot Jiraiya!"

Yue looked at her solemn face, then nodded just as seriously. "Understood."
