My mouth twitched as I glanced at my mother.

Her eyes were secretive — she had never regarded Yu Longting as my boyfriend.

To my surprise, in the next second, Granny Wu firmly grasped my wrist, and she stared intently at the cheongsam beneath my coat,"You... you actually put on the cheongsam? Have you considered the consequences?"

"Granny Wu, it's not convenient to talk here. Could we step aside for a moment?" I suggested, not wanting to discuss Yu Longting in a crowded place.

Granny Wu opened her other hand, revealing a pinch of charred-looking red and black rice,"Step aside for a talk? Master Qingyang has already come knocking at our door. Where is the Snake Lord? You must have him take you and hide immediately."

Wu Zhenglin made a zipping motion over his mouth,"Are you still even my granny, threatening your own grandson with death so casually..."

I was still completely confused. Since Granny Wu wouldn't tell her grandson Wu Zhenglin the purpose of going to the Steles Forest, I needed to know exactly what had happened,"Granny Wu, are we going to this Stele Forest to hide from Qingyang's pursuit?"
