I thought I was hallucinating and rubbed my eyes open.

The two candles in front of the mirror were flickering dimly and brightly.

"Awake? Beichen was reporting some internal affairs of the Snake Tribe to me." Yu Longting's eyes darkened, his stern expression softened considerably.

Seeing the outer robe sliding off my body, he reached out to pull it back up over my shoulders a bit, "Be careful, don't catch a cold."

Yu Longting gazed down at my astonished eyes, a chilly smile appearing, "You go and support the Serpent Domain for a while."

"I... I go support? My cultivation is hardly adequate," Beichen sounded as if he were dealing with a foolish ruler, his tone shocked.

Yu Longting, impatiently waving his hand, irresponsibly said, "A soldier is fed for a thousand days and used for one moment; this is your chance to repay me."

Beichen hadn't finished speaking when a deep green light flashed in the depths of Yu Longting's eyes.
