My Demon Husband Is a Snake

The gate to Lei Tianming's house was slightly ajar.

Pushing open the iron gate, one first encountered a typical farmhouse courtyard.

From afar, one could hear the shrill sounds of an argument coming from the house.

"Xuan Fanyin!! You took a whole hundred million, claiming it could extend life by thirty years. What now?" an elderly woman furiously questioned.

"I don't care, you took the money, you have to save my husband's life." The old woman's angry tone persisted, "He has less than an hour left, you figure it out."

Xuan Fanyin said somberly, "I've already asked Su Wan and Wei Yao to come over. One hour is enough!"

"That turncoat Wei Yao, even if she comes, might not be willing to wear the Life-Extending Robe for another twenty years." The old lady expressed her worries.

Yet my heart felt a chill; this old woman had always been seen by Wei Yao as a very loving foster parent in her heart.

Xuan Fanyin suddenly said, "There's the sound of footsteps."

"You go check it out, it might be Wei Yao and that damned girl who broke your formation coming!" the old woman coldly said.

The squeaking of rats echoed from all directions.

The lights in the upstairs corridor suddenly brightened, and Xuan Fanyin appeared there, looking down at me.
