Chapter 43: Chapter 43: Big Harvest
Three days later, in the residence specially arranged by the Queen of Rōran, Rasa's expression was a mixture of emotions.
Over the past three days, he had carefully examined all of Mukade's memories using the illusion technique provided by the Anbu.
Well… it was a lot to process.
The good news was that Rasa might owe Mukade an apology. Mukade might actually be a genius.
Through Mukade's memories, Rasa discovered that Mukade had uncovered the Dragon Vein and harnessed its chakra power to create an entirely different puppet technique system from the one developed by the Second Wind Kage. He called it the Dragon Vein Puppet Technique.
While the incredible properties of the Dragon Vein chakra were certainly a major factor, it was Mukade's skill in perfectly integrating this chakra with puppet techniques that made Rasa recognize that Mukade might indeed be a master of his craft.
What further impressed Rasa was Mukade's efforts to break the Fourth Hokage's Flying Thunder God seal on the Dragon Vein. Mukade had conducted extensive research on sealing techniques and made some remarkable progress.
This was also why he had boldly absorbed the Flying Thunder God seal into his own body, believing that the power of the Dragon Vein chakra would enable him to return to the past.
Unfortunately, all that knowledge was now in Rasa's possession.
And the bad news?
Rasa discovered through Mukade's memories that in the timeline of the Naruto world that Mukade originally existed in, there was no sign of him at all.
To be precise, the timeline followed the plot exactly as it was in the original world. Without Mukade's interference as a time traveler, the Fourth Wind Kage, Rasa, died at the hands of Orochimaru, just as it had happened in Rasa's own timeline. The sequence of events was exactly as Rasa had always known it.
What did that mean? It meant that, at the very least, there was a future where Rasa as a transmigrator never existed.
Was this a parallel world? Or would something change in the future? Rasa couldn't say for sure.
He had no way of knowing with his current abilities.
But at least there was some hope.
Mukade's memories contained some fragments about the Flying Thunder God seal technique.
The Flying Thunder God technique, a space-time ninjutsu, involved manipulating both time and space.
If Rasa could also master some abilities in this field, perhaps he could find the answers he was looking for.
But for now?
The most important thing was still acquiring the power of the Dragon Vein chakra!
---
The Palace of the Rōran Kingdom.
Rasa's request for the Dragon Vein chakra was met with an unexpected response from the Queen of Rōran.
"What?!"
Rasa asked, looking at the beautiful queen with a serious expression.
"Are you sure?"
The Queen nodded, her gaze unwavering. Next to her, a little girl with the same red hair as the Queen clung tightly to her leg, her eyes wide with uncertainty as she looked at Rasa in surprise.
"Yes, I've made up my mind. I want Rōran to join Sunagakure, as the condition for giving you the Dragon Vein!"
If the Queen had made any other request, Rasa would have likely refused immediately, because, in his eyes, this queen had no authority to make demands. But this? This particular proposal made him pause and think.
"Why?"
The Queen's expression grew more somber as she explained.
"Because Rōran has no other option. According to Mukade, even with the power of the Dragon Vein, Rōran will be destroyed by war soon. So, rather than waiting for certain death, we might as well take a gamble."
"So, joining Sunagakure is your gamble?"
"Yes. You are the strongest ninja I've encountered so far, and you're the Kazekage of Sunagakure, one of the Five Great Countries. This is the best option for Rōran right now."
Rasa wasn't one to hesitate for long, and he quickly recognized this as a situation where both sides stood to gain.
Whether it was the population of Rōran or the Queen herself, Rasa found both intriguing. But let's not misunderstand things. While the Queen of Rōran was indeed beautiful and exuded a mature, wife-like charm—quite different from Karuro's youthful energy—what Rasa valued most was her ability to govern a nation.
He definitely needed someone capable of managing Sunagakure. There were far too few people in the village he could trust with such a heavy responsibility.
So, he had no intention of turning this down. Just to be sure, he wanted to confirm the approximate population of the new place.
"How many people does Rōran have now?"
"Around three thousand."
Rasa was taken aback. Three thousand? That was even fewer than he had expected. It would be easy to accommodate them.
After all, the Sunagakure had a population of over 100,000, so absorbing these 3,000 people wouldn't cause any major disruptions.
"I'm inclined to agree, but the final decision will have to wait until everything's settled. You'll need to come back to Sunagakure with me. While I'm Kazekage, I still have to consider the opinions of others. But don't worry too much. There shouldn't be any issues."
The Queen's face immediately brightened, and she bent down to express her gratitude.
"Thank you! Kazekage-sama, I will be in your care from now on!"
"No need to thank me. Rōran joining Sunagakure is a win-win situation for both Rōran and the village."
"Yes!"
The Queen nodded, then seemed to remember something.
"Sēramu!"
"???"
"That's my real name. From now on, please call me that. Once Rōran joins Sunagakure, there will be no more 'Queen of Rōran.'"
"Sēramu?!"
No wonder she had once been a queen. This little political move really showed her wisdom, which pleased Rasa even more.
"Understood. Now, please take me to the Dragon Vein."
---
Deeper beneath Mukade's underground puppet factory. Hundreds of meters below the ground, with Sēramu's guidance, Rasa finally arrived at the birthplace of the Dragon Vein chakra.
It was a breathtaking underground cave. The purple chakra flowed like molten magma, surging through the cave's walls. Above the cave was a giant circular altar. On the altar stood four statues, all staring down at the center, where a mysterious seal was inscribed, surrounded by glowing runes.
"It's here. According to our records, when our ancestors first discovered the Dragon Vein, the chakra was incredibly violent. It was our ancestors who used this sealing technique to suppress the violent energy, turning it into the gentler form it is now. And Rōran's ability to survive as an oasis in the desert is thanks to the immense life force of the Dragon Vein chakra."
Rasa's eyes lit up at this revelation.

Attention: So there are a few idiots who spammed 1-star reviews a few days back, against a 'Bot' who is spamming 5-star reviews. Please know that I DID NOT use any BOT or ask anyone to do so. The 5-star spammers are usually those who just want EXPs and nothing more. However, making 1-star reviews ruins the whole book.
Now, I am deleting both kind of spams but I still want you to understand and don't review this book without a context. A good constructive comment means a lot rather than simple 5-star review.
Thanks for listening. Stay blessed.
