My Muscle System in the Mage World

Chapter 420: All pretence end when the Death is Near

"All traces of vanity fade when death approaches. All pretense is just that—pretense—and in the end, your true nature is revealed," Aur murmured, his voice heavy with contemplation.

He watched his Mental Space crumble, a faint trace of regret flickering in his heart. Even though he had managed to trap this Tier Seven Wizard within his Mental Space, killing him, even stripped of his spells, was beyond reach through conventional means.

Aur understood well that raw strength could be augmented through spells, albeit to a limited degree due to the suppression of the world.

While he possessed the potential to utterly destroy the old man, the truth was undeniable: without obliterating the wizard's Inner World, it was fundamentally impossible to kill him.

Aur knew there was no way for him to destroy the old man's Inner World; after all, he was still a mere weakling, barely at Tier Four in his physical body. His strength was far too insufficient to challenge a Tier Seven wizard.

He raised his hand, shaking his head slowly, and clenched his fist tightly. The old man within his Mental Space cried out, begging for mercy, but Aur's expression remained cold and unmoved.

Without a word, Aur stepped forward, casually taking the compass from the old man's grasp. Then, with a final, firm tightening of his fist, he vanished from the space.

Bang!

The moment his fist closed, the entire Mental Space shattered, engulfing the old man in its collapse.

Aur returned to the real world, collapsing to the ground, unconscious.

In his initial floating position, a faint trickle of mana began to leak from the position. At first, it was just a pitiful amount, but soon after, a terrifyingly vast surge of mana poured forth—far greater than any Magic crystal or even World Essence stone.

Alongside this immense release of mana, small amounts of sand began to seep out, covering the magical energy within.

"That guy is dead," the leader spoke, his voice trembling with disbelief.

"A Tier Four killed a Tier Seven Wizard!"

Silence.

A deafening silence hung over the surrounding area as they gazed at the almost corpse-like figure of Aur, suspended in magma.

Despite his strong, unyielding body, the molten lava couldn't consume him. It was as insignificant as a river to Aur as he floated atop the boiling sea of lava.

World Essence escaped into the surrounding space, filling the area with bright hues of light.

Suddenly, the world began to tremble, and chains emerged from the void, slowly binding the World Essence, attempting to take control.

However, as soon as the chains made contact with the sand, nearly all of the World Essence withered and decayed rapidly, disintegrating before their eyes.

Some of the World Essence managed to be captured by the chains, but even that dwindled as the mana and essence vanished into nothingness.

The chains retreated back into the void, leaving the three figures staring at one another in silence.

"What a pity," the leader murmured, his voice filled with disappointment. "The wizard world has already consumed all the World Essence and the resources that were at his disposal. Now, there's nothing left."

Shaking his head in disappointment, the leader fixed his gaze once again on Aur's floating figure.

"This twerp has too many secrets. Let's take him for now. He's even more valuable than this world."

His eyes narrowed dangerously, and without hesitation, he moved.

Shing!

A slow trickle of blood dripped down, mixing with the magma below.

"You guys…"

The leader's voice trembled in disbelief as he looked back at the short guy who had pierced body.

The short guy, unable to contain his amusement, chuckled softly, his laughter echoing eerily through the cavern. The other figure stood silently, expressionless, not betraying a single emotion.

"You dare betray me?"

His teeth grinded together, producing a sharp, rigid sound that reverberated throughout the space. His Peak Tier Seven presence spilled out, suffocating the air.

"You guys will pay for betraying me." His expression twisted into a ferocious snarl.

"You underestimate yourself by being too confident in your strength," the two figures said, shaking their heads with disappointment.

They revealed their masks, peeling them away to reveal faces riddled with wrinkles and grotesque, ugly features.

Then from one of them wings sprouted from his back, and two long, sharp black horns emerged from his heads.

"You guys are bloodline wizards," the leader screamed, his piercing voice echoing through the space.

"Hahah, yeah." the short man declared triumphantly, laughing loudly.

"Let me leave—"

Before the leader could finish, the fight erupted without warning as the two unleashed their Peak Tier Seven presence once more, clashing with unstoppable force.

With their Mental Spaces combined, their combat ability wasn't merely additive but amplified by at least a thousand times.

Imagine unleashing two devastating moves from their respective Inner Worlds simultaneously? The sheer power was beyond comparison, which is why the world feared bloodline wizard so deeply.

The fight lasted for half a day before everything returned to silence.

The two Tier Seven wizards emerged, their robes lightly dusted and with only minor injuries. As for the leader, only his severed head remained in the short man's hand—a grotesque display, his horror-stricken eyes widened to their limit still in his severed head.

"So, what should we do with this world?" the short man asked calmly.

The Dragonian man glanced at Aur, who was still drifting but had already recovered significantly.

"We came here for him, remember what our leader said?"

"Yes," the short man nodded, his expression serious. He raised his hand, and Aur floated upward, appearing in front of them.

"Let's set up a gate first, to call everyone. This can be our base for now."

Aur groggily opened his eyes, his vision blurred and impaired.

"Did it work?" he muttered, clutching his hand as he closed his eyes. His heart was still beating, and every part of his brain was fully functional.

His body had fully recovered to its ordinary state.

As he stood, Aur scanned his surroundings.

He found himself in a simple, ordinary room, and he could still feel the connection to the inheritance world—he was still within it.

"Have you woken up, brat?"

The short Tier Seven wizard appeared before Aur, looking at him meaningfully.

"You don't seem so shocked, seeing my Draconian form?"
