Chapter 444: Brand's Blood Debt
As a part of the underworld, the Night Cat Squad, although relying on hacking skills, each member also possesses impressive combat abilities. To exist freely amidst the perilous underground forces, one must possess certain skills.
At this moment, with the assistance of hacking techniques, they have gained insight into the structure of the Brand company, which determined the direction of their attack.
Indeed, for Brand, the smuggling routes and stored weaponry are its lifeline. Grasping this pain point would surely cause Brand considerable loss, the impact of which is unimaginable.
Batu, Shen Yaqing, and three others initiated an assault on the designated warehouse according to the plan. After eliminating all targets, they directly blew up the stored weapons inside the warehouse.
Thus, the Night Cat Squad's retaliation began. From the weapon hiding spots to the smuggling personnel, all without exception suffered certain blows, inflicting unimaginable damage on Brand.
In Wanlida Company, Brand was so furious that he gritted his teeth, pounding the table and scolding, "Incompetents, all of you are a bunch of incompetents! With such a huge loss of those blasted weapons and smuggling subordinates, you haven't found any trace of the enemy. You're all useless!"
Brand was really furious. The weapons were piles of money, and the smuggling subordinates were direct participants controlling the entire smuggling route. The loss and impact caused by the absence of these people were irreparable. He was about to be driven mad with anger.
"Please calm down," a company executive stammered, "sooner or later, we will gather the enemy's intelligence and launch a strong counterattack. Those who offend us will not end well."
Those around Brand were deeply worried. Seeing Brand's fury, it was impossible not to feel fear.
"I've mobilized all contacts to find the enemy's trail," another person replied, shrinking back.
"I want results, results, do you understand?" Brand roared, "So far, 20% of the weapon storage sites have been destroyed, and nearly 10% of the smuggling subordinates have been silenced. I don't need to say how disastrous this is for us. Aren't you aware? The situation is spiraling out of control, yet you don't even know who did it. What exactly are you all doing?"
"Looking at the situation in the Ba Country, no one dares to directly challenge us. Kasam, Farhadi, and Yahward all need our assistance to expand their arsenals, so none of them dares or can afford to offend us," someone analyzed rationally. "From the current situation, we are indeed on the defensive. It appears that the enemy has a skilled squad accurately identifying our smuggling locations and targeting them. We are simply defenseless, especially since the adversary's combat power is incredibly strong, causing us irreparable damage."
"Could it be the Chu Group taking action?" someone speculated, "The Chu Group is not satisfied with the current benefits and wants to swallow our benefits too. In this case, the Chu Group will become the outright boss of Ba Country."
"The Chu Group wouldn't dare to act so arrogantly as to oppose us, what nonsense," Brand rebuked loudly. "Stop with those pointless words. I just want to know what to do now. Do you have any practical suggestions?"
Everyone shook their heads in silence. Unable to determine the enemy's identity or whereabouts, what else could they do?
"Incompetents, truly a bunch of incompetent fools," Brand cursed.
At that moment, someone rushed in, anxious, and shouted, "A hidden camera captured the enemy's identity. I'm quite sure it's a hacker team, the Night Cat Squad, very famous in Asia."
"What? The Night Cat Squad? Have they lost their minds?" everyone exclaimed in accusations.
Although the Night Cat Squad was well-known, openly provoking Brand's forces was like hitting a stone with an egg, courting their own destruction.
"No wonder we couldn't find their identity; turns out they were just a bunch of hackers," Brand sneered.
"The Night Cat Squad is no simple matter. We must guard against them. From individual combat abilities to intelligence gathering, they are beyond our match. For safety's sake, we should be cautious," someone cautioned, puzzled, "We have no dealings with them, no vendetta either, yet they choose to cross us. Aren't they courting death?"
"Such things don't happen for no reason," someone said quietly, looking at Brand, "Remember that note signed Batu? It clearly stated Batu wanted revenge for his sister."
Brand suddenly recalled, just two days ago, a mysterious note appeared on his desk.
"Revenge for his sister? What's that got to do with the Night Cat Squad?" Brand asked, puzzled.
"The leader of the Night Cat Squad is Batu," the person affirmed.
Brand was even more puzzled, impatiently asking, "What happened to Batu's sister? Did we kill her or something?"
"You forget, you fancied a woman once, and before her death, she claimed her brother would take revenge on us. Sooner or later, he would avenge her, and then she killed herself," the person recalled a tragic past event.
Brand angrily said, "Damn it, what's that got to do with me? The woman died; was it me who forced her?"
He completely forgot that he directly caused a tragic event.
"You had someone kidnap a woman, intending to force yourself on her. As a result, the woman died," the person reminded.
"Make yourself clear. I've kidnapped many women, and every one of them died. What's so surprising about that?" Brand said displeased.
The person was choked, changing the tone to explain, "About seven days ago, wasn't there a woman who committed suicide? You didn't get the woman's body, and she even kicked your crotch. In the end, you had her body dragged to feed the dogs."
"Hearing you say this, I do remember something," Brand thought for a moment, then realized with a sneer, "Turns out I've brought trouble to the company. But no matter, I will make sure the Night Cat Squad all perish."
"Crocodile, go deal with the enemy. I'll find ways to track the enemy's precise location," Brand ordered.
At this moment, knowing the enemy's identity, he wasn't worried at all, only harboring a cold, murderous intent.
"Yes," said the man called Crocodile, leaving with killing intent.
