Chapter 3: Chapter 3 – A Genius Beyond Measure
Chapter 3 – A Genius Beyond Measure
Althea stared at Ella and Olivia, her face filled with shock as she turned to her father.
"Father, father! Is this normal? They're absorbing Primordial Forces while sleeping—and their Dantian... it's enormous! Ten times bigger than mine! And their absorption speed is terrifying. Could this be harmful?" she asked anxiously, her expression filled with worry.
For the past week, Althea had been keeping a close watch on her twin sisters, and the more she observed, the more unsettled she became. The sheer amount of Primordial Force they had gathered was unprecedented, and their Dantian size defied all logic. Surely, something was wrong?
Yet, to her shock, her father, Jade, furrowed his brows and said, "No... I don't know either. This is my first time witnessing a newborn god achieving this. It must mean their talent far surpasses ours—no, perhaps it even surpasses those monstrous geniuses of the 90th Heaven."
Althea's eyes widened in disbelief.
The 90th Heaven—the domain where legendary gods and celestial prodigies resided. Was he saying that her twin sisters were already on par with those heaven-defying beings?
Her heart pounded.
If this was true, then Ella and Olivia's potential was beyond comprehension.
Jade glanced at his daughter's stunned expression and smirked. "Don't worry too much. They're not in danger. But you, Althea—perhaps you should be worried instead."
Althea blinked. "Huh?"
"If you keep slacking off, it won't be long before your younger sisters surpass you," Jade said, his smirk widening. "And when that happens… I wonder if they'll even consider you their elder sister?"
His words struck her like a lightning bolt.
A chilling image formed in her mind—Ella and Olivia, looking down at her with pity, surpassing her in strength while she remained stagnant. Cold sweat trickled down her back.
"N-No way!" Althea shouted, clenching her fists. She had been neglecting her cultivation for too long, indulging in the privileges of her status. But now? Now, she had to work harder!
Gritting her teeth, she nodded with newfound determination. "Okay, father! I'll leave for the academy immediately. I won't slack off anymore!"
With that, she vanished, leaving behind only her father, who chuckled in amusement.
A Father's ExpectationsThe chamber fell into silence.
Jade leaned against the ornate pillar, his gaze locked onto the slumbering twins. A myriad of thoughts swirled in his mind.
"This is a good thing. With such heaven-defying daughters, our family has a real chance to elevate our status. If I register them in the Primordial Youth Rankings before the deadline, we might even ascend to the 20th Heaven…"
He sighed, rubbing his temples.
Out of a million young prodigies across the realms, Althea had barely ranked within the top hundred thousand. Her talent, though decent, had been wasted due to his excessive doting.
But these two…
They were different.
They had barely awakened, yet their talent already eclipsed Althea's.
A sense of pride swelled within him.
Not long after, the sound of soft footsteps echoed through the chamber. A familiar presence arrived.
"Hm? Why are you sighing, Jade?"
A cool, elegant voice rang out as Yula, his wife and the mother of the twins, appeared beside him. Her gaze shifted to Ella and Olivia, her expression unreadable.
Jade exhaled. "Nothing… Just thinking about Althea. She's been too lax with her training. If she doesn't push herself, these two will surpass her in no time."
Yula nodded in agreement. "It's inevitable."
Her gaze softened as she watched the twins, who continued to radiate pure and boundless Primordial Force.
"Even I can't absorb energy while sleeping. It's far too dangerous—the energy flow could destabilize, causing internal injuries. But for them…"
Their Dantian absorbed Primordial Force effortlessly, as if it were their natural state.
"Monstrous."
A rare smile touched Yula's lips.
"You don't need to worry, Jade," she reassured him. "With the resources we have, they will undoubtedly become true gods in the future."
Jade nodded. "You're right. We just need to support them."
And so, they remained, standing guard over their daughters, ensuring their safety as the days continued to pass.
The AwakeningA week later.
As the sun rose over the 18th Heaven, Ella's eyes slowly fluttered open.
Her mind felt clearer than ever. A strange warmth coursed through her body—powerful, limitless, and exhilarating.
Then, suddenly—
Ding!
[System Notice]

"Primal Nexus Realm?"
They had simply been sleeping, and yet… they were already cultivating?
Before she could process her shock, she immediately asked the system, "System, what is this 'Primal Nexus' first step into cultivation?"
Ding!
[System Notice]
[The Twin Hosts have officially stepped into the first realm of the Universal Power System.]
Ella's expression darkened.
"Universal Power System? How many realms are there? And just how strong am I now?"
She asked the system for clarification.
Ding!
[System Notice]
[The system currently has access to only three realms, as it lacks permission to probe the highest existing realms.
To upgrade and expand its capabilities—including increased rewards and deeper knowledge of the higher realms—the system requires Kneeling Points.]
Currently Accessible Realms:
Primal Nexus Realm – Restricted to 10 LayersInfernos Realm – Restricted to 9 LayersHorizon Realm – Restricted to 8 LayersElla's eye twitched.
"Kneeling Points? What the hell is that?"
Ding!
[Kneeling Points Mechanism Unlocked]
[To accumulate Kneeling Points, the Twin Hosts must make others kneel before them, regardless of their status.
The higher the target's status, the greater the number of Kneeling Points earned.
Kneeling Points can be used to upgrade the system, increase rewards, and unlock deeper knowledge of higher realms.]
Ella's face darkened even further.
"So you're telling me… we have to make people kneel?!"
The absurdity of it made her speechless.
She felt like the system was practically setting them up for death flags.
"Tch… this is just asking for trouble," she muttered, frustrated.
Yet, deep down, she understood—if they wanted to reach the highest heavens, they had to dominate.
Suppress others before they were suppressed.
With that realization, she let out a deep sigh before checking her Ascendant Core.
"System, what exactly is the Ascendant Core?"
Ding!
[System Notice]
[The Ascendant Core is the designated term used by the system. However, it was originally known as the Dantian, Core, and other similar names across different dimensions.]
Ella nodded. "So it really is like the Dantian from cultivation novels…"
She glanced at Olivia, who was still sleeping soundly.
Then, suddenly—
Creak.
The grand jewel-encrusted doors to their chamber swung open.
Two figures stepped inside.
And their presence was anything but ordinary.
