Mythical Era: My Evolution into a Celestial Beast

Chapter 880: World-Devouring Beast, Peak of the Titan Level (I)

While all sides were busy preparing for the final battle, time passed swiftly. In the blink of an eye, three days had gone by. As the blue sun dipped below the horizon, darkness descended upon the entire mythical world. Only the silver moon rising slowly from the eastern edge brought a faint glimmer of light.

In the mythical world, a single day-cycle lasted forty days. Daytime was marked by the passage of three suns—golden, red, and blue—arching across the sky, while night had only one silver moon hanging high above. The sight of twin moons gracing the sky was an uncommon event. Yet every appearance of the Blood Moon heralded something ominous.

High above the seventeenth plane, more than a hundred thousand meters up, a golden rift split open across the sky. From within emerged Bordea, bearing three pairs of golden light wings.

Gazing at Kordes, the mythical-level guardian of this plane, Bordea's brow furrowed slightly. Kordes had sent an emergency transmission. "Kordes, did another traitor appear here?"

"No... not a traitor."

Kordes pointed into the distance, hesitating. "Uncle, I summoned you because of the Divine Might King from the human race. Look over there."

In the central region of the Mingled Copper Mountains, more than two thousand kilometers away, a massive dark-golden sphere of light, over a thousand kilometers in diameter, hovered like an overturned bowl pressed into the earth, radiating immense pressure.

"That Divine Might King is devouring the essence of the Mingled Copper Mountains. The area he's covered keeps expanding; it's doubling every star-quarter. At this rate, he'll consume the entire mountain range in no time. This is the material core of the seventeenth plane. If it's devoured, the entire plane will destabilize, and the surrounding mineral veins will be depleted."

Compared to Kordes' concern, Bordea remained composed. "You're asking whether we should stop him, aren't you?"

Kordes bitterly nodded. "Yes."

The seventeenth plane was currently a vital resource hub for the Heavenly Feathered Race, responsible for producing all weapons, equipment, and war fortress foundation materials below the mythical level. Its importance couldn't be overstated. If these mineral veins were exhausted, the logistical pressure on the Heavenly Feathered Race would only increase.

Yet while Kordes showed deep concern, Bordea responded calmly, "Let the Divine Might King devour and refine it if he wishes. It no longer matters."

"It doesn't matter?" Kordes was taken aback. As merely a beginning-stage mythical cultivator stationed in the rear, Kordes had received word of an upcoming battle, but didn't know it was to be the final decisive war. Only those of the chief god level and late-to-peak mythical level had been informed, to prevent early leaks.

Bordea reminded him, "You needn't concern yourself with anything else. Just guard this place well. Don't let anyone interrupt the Divine Might King's cultivation. If this human genius breaks through to the chief god level, he'll become a tremendous asset to our Heavenly Feathered Race. Understood?"

"I understand, Uncle." Kordes nodded, having vaguely gleaned the deeper implications in Bordea's words.

While the two Heavenly Feathered powerhouses conversed, within that dark-golden sphere over the mountains, an overwhelming gravitational force filled the space. Countless azure light particles streamed out from the ores and surged en masse toward the central region.

The towering mountain that once stood over ten thousand meters high had completely vanished. The ground had collapsed into a massive black hole a hundred kilometers across, and the crushing gravitational field distorted everything around it.

At the center of what resembled a black hole, a six-hundred-meter-tall, three-faced, eight-armed demon god sat cross-legged. Six of its arms formed seals behind its back, supporting the golden slowly-rotating Wheels of the World.

As Chen Chu's cultivation advanced toward the heavenly king level and his laws began to fuse, the gears behind him, once mere light wheels, transformed into the projection of an entire world. He now appeared like the ruler of all creation.

His aura was overwhelming. His physical body, already fearsome, had become a bottomless pit and frantically devoured heavy metals from the mountain, growing even more monstrous by the moment.

As Chen Chu broke through to the heavenly king level, the Dragon Emperor had also finally crossed the temporal rift and arrived on the far side of the Chaotic Region.

Wooo!

A deep, ancient call echoed through the heavens and earth. The gray currents, thick with the aura of destruction, scattered as a colossal ray-beast over sixty kilometers long emerged.

Beside it hovered a much smaller black-and-red beast, only about four kilometers in length. As they burst through the temporal rift, the Silver Colossal Dragon perched atop the ray-beast let out an excited roar.Ao Tian, we finally made it out!

The Dragon Emperor rumbled,Stay alert. This side is even more dangerous.

Compared to the Chaotic Region on the far side, which at least had land, what now lay before them was a shattered world.

Ahead stretched something akin to the vacuum of space—pitch-black and void. The magnetic field was chaotic, gravity nonexistent, and there was no transcendent energy in the environment. As far as the eye could see across thousands of kilometers, only fragments of broken rock floated like cosmic dust.

The colossal ray-beast let out a low hum.Great King, there's nothing here. I won't follow you in. I'll wait for your return.

The Dragon Emperor nodded slowly.Very well. I'll contact you later through the Dragon King Scale.

As a newly inducted ancient titan, the Dragon Emperor naturally had to give the colossal ray-beast a token. It wasn't only for communication, but also as a mark of status.

Let's go take a look and see how vast the Chaotic Region really is. Don't stray too far from me.With a low growl, the Dragon Emperor spread its wings. Its colossal form tore through space as it flew forward. Though the Chaotic Region was vast, the Dragon Emperor wasn't worried about getting lost. It could lock onto Chen Chu's main body for positioning.

Charge! The great Saixitia will conquer this entire region! With a jubilant cry, the Silver Dragon flapped its wings, stirring up a surging black storm as it soared into the sky.

Hot on its heels was the equally exhilarated Golden-Blue Colossal Dragon. With an elegant posture and a high-pitched roar, it followed after them. The great Thorsafi shall also conquer the Chaotic Region!

To the two dragons, crossing the entire Chaotic Region would mean they had conquered this forbidden zone.

Thunder Fiery, Thunder Fiery, wait for me!The Single-Horned Kunpeng beat its wings and swung its thick tail with great effort. It looked like an ancient Kun flying through outer space, struggling to keep up.

Now that the Dragon Emperor had reached the peak of the titan level in its cultivation, its body had grown even larger, comparable to ancient colossal beasts. With the boost in power, its cruising speed had also become much faster.

Flying through the pitch-black void, the four colossal beasts covered over three thousand kilometers in a short time. Then, several hundred kilometers ahead, a black-brown meteoroid over fifty kilometers wide drifted into view. The Dragon Emperor's throat glowed faintly, and in the next moment, a golden beam hundreds of meters wide blasted forth.

Boom!

The massive meteoroid exploded on the spot. Countless chunks of rock instantly melted into lava, forming a circular shockwave that swept across a span of several hundred kilometers. As the heat quickly dissipated, the lava solidified into floating masses of blackened material.

Ao Tian, why did you blast that rock? The Silver Dragon flew alongside the Dragon Emperor, confusion in its voice.

The Dragon Emperor casually shook its head.Nothing. Just felt a little itch in my throat.

The three beasts were all a bit dazed. An itch in the throat?

Hum!

Suddenly, a blue light burst from the Dragon Emperor's mouth. In an instant, the beam stretched across the void like a laser, striking another meteoroid more than two hundred kilometers away.

Boom!

The twenty-something-kilometer meteoroid exploded like a brilliant firework, illuminating the dark expanse like a starburst.

What followed left the Silver Dragon, Golden-Blue Dragon, and Kunpeng utterly bewildered. The Dragon Emperor, like a cosmic battleship, continued firing planetary-annihilation-level beams, destroying every meteoroid in its path.

As for energy consumption? The Dragon Emperor simply didn't care. Though there was no transcendent energy to absorb in this pitch-black space, its body had already formed an internal world of its own, allowing it to draw energy directly from the chaotic void to sustain itself.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

As the bombardment continued, the Dragon Emperor obliterated hundreds of meteoroids, each over ten kilometers in diameter. Eventually, it let out an exhilarated roar. That felt amazing!

Ao Tian, the great Saixitia wants to join in too!Sensing the Dragon Emperor's excitement, the Silver Dragon couldn't help but roar in delight. White icy light gathered in its mouth.

Boom!

A meteoroid over twenty kilometers wide exploded in the void. Under its freezing breath, the countless shattered fragments turned into a sprawling ice crystal field stretching dozens of kilometers.

These chunks of rock aren't even pretty. What's so fun about blowing them up?The Golden-Blue Dragon blinked in confusion.

Soon enough, the number of planetary-blasting warships grew to three. Only the Kunpeng trailed behind, still dazed and uncertain why their throats were suddenly so itchy.

The bombardment by the three colossal beasts continued for over a hundred thousand kilometers before suddenly halting. Ahead of them appeared a massive continental fragment, thousands of kilometers in diameter. Mountain ranges rose and fell across the landmass, but there were no plants, no water, and not even the faintest sign of life.

The Dragon Emperor let out a low growl.Big Horn, do you sense anything good on that continent?

Nothing.The Kunpeng shook its head.

So barren? Let's go have a look anyway.Saying this, the Dragon Emperor took the lead. It flew more than five thousand kilometers before drawing near the landmass.
