Naruto: Boundless Potential

Chapter 11: Visit to the Library

After passing the test, Naruto walked home with a satisfied grin. But suddenly, he remembered something—the golden screen from last night!

His eyes widened as he came to a halt. "That's right! That weird thing... I need to figure out what it was!"

Changing his route, Naruto headed toward Konoha's public library.

It was a massive building, far bigger than he'd ever imagined. Towering bookshelves lined the walls, filled with countless books.

There were different sections with clear labels—Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, Basic Ninja Knowledge, Summoning Beasts, and more.

Naruto scratched his head. "Man, I never thought I'd step into a place like this..."

Still, determined to learn more, he walked in.

He decided to start with Basic Ninja Knowledge, hoping to find something about bloodline limits or DNA. Picking a random book, he sat down at a table and began reading.

The first few pages talked about the Five Great Nations and the Five Hidden Villages—stuff he'd already heard before.

The next section covered Ninja Ranks, from Genin to Kage, but Naruto barely paid attention. His eyes started drooping, his head bobbing slightly.

So boring...

Just as he was about to give up, a new topic caught his attention—Ninja Clans and Bloodline Limits!

His sleepiness vanished instantly.

"Finally! Something useful!" he muttered as he leaned closer, reading carefully.

But as he read, his excitement turned to frustration. The book only gave vague descriptions—nothing truly explained what a bloodline limit was.

"Tch! Useless!" Naruto grumbled.

Realizing he needed better sources, he got up and walked toward the reception area, scanning the posted book titles. Then—his eyes landed on it:

"Ninja Clans"

A huge grin spread across his face. "There we go!"

Excited, he made his way toward the section labeled Ninja Clans.

As Naruto walked deeper into the library, two ANBU appeared from the shadows, their masks concealing their expressions.

One of them spoke in a low voice, "He's heading to the Ninja Clans section."

The other nodded. "Let him be."

However, one ANBU vanished instantly—going straight to report to the Hokage.

Naruto entered the Ninja Clans section and was amazed by the number of books.

There were different classifications, but unfortunately, only basic information was available to the public.

Grabbing a book simply titled "Ninja Clans", he began reading eagerly.

The first few pages described the origins of ninja clans in Konoha—how Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha formed the village, and how various clans joined under their rule.

The book also highlighted the Senju and Uchiha Clans as Konoha's strongest.

'So Sasuke comes from a really famous clan, huh?' Naruto thought.

A strange feeling settled in his chest. What about me?

Determined to find out, he flipped through book after book, searching for any mention of his lineage.

Then—his eyes landed on a red-colored book titled "The Uzumaki Clan."

His heart pounded as he picked it up.

The book spoke of the Uzumaki Clan's origins, their fearsome vitality, and their immense chakra reserves.

They were once a powerful clan from Uzushiogakure, known for their sealing techniques.

Naruto's hands trembled slightly as he turned the pages.

Their symbol, the swirling red spiral, was used in Konoha's insignia to honor their bond with the Leaf Village.

But then, the next section made his stomach drop—

The Uzumaki Clan was destroyed.

Feared for their power, multiple nations joined forces to wipe them out.

Naruto felt a heavy weight in his chest. My clan... was completely wiped out?

His eyes darkened as he read on. The book described how some Uzumaki survived, scattered across the world, but most were never seen again.

Naruto clenched his fists.

'Then why don't I have red hair like them?'

He looked down at his bright blonde hair, confused.

Still, learning about his heritage filled him with a sense of pride—and deep sadness.

Just as he was about to leave, another book caught his eye.

It was titled "Bloodline Limits and DNA Manipulation"—written by Orochimaru.

Naruto had never heard of the author, but the title intrigued him. He sat back down and read the entire book.

For the first time, he truly understood what a bloodline limit was.

It was a genetic inheritance, passed down through DNA from parent to child.

Some abilities, like the Sharingan, were tied to specific clans. Others, like Kekkei Genkai, were rare elemental fusions.

And then, he saw something even more shocking—

"Hair, blood, and other body parts contain DNA samples, which can be used for research or even cloning."

Naruto's eyes widened. "Even hair... counts as DNA?"

Suddenly, a wild idea formed in his mind.

His mind raced with possibilities.

For the first time in his life, he felt excited about learning.

Smiling to himself, he closed the book and stretched.

"Heh... This library is kinda awesome."

Feeling satisfied with today's discoveries, Naruto walked out of the library.
