Naruto: Desert Phantom

Chapter 9: Camel

Sabaku trudged behind Lion, just as he had so many times since being reborn—wrapped in absolute silence.

Shinobi were never people of many words. Not in times like these. Times of war.

The only exceptions were those who had long abandoned their blades for diplomacy—men and women who wielded words and political influence instead of kunai and chakra.

They left the ANBU complex, marching in a straight line toward the massive pyramid.

Sabaku had already entered it once yesterday, when he received his cursed seal.

But seeing it again now, its sheer monumental presence looming before him, made his heart beat faster.

This… this was what truly reminded him that he had been reborn into a world of magic—of supernatural forces beyond comprehension.

The air felt heavier here. Charged. Kind of sacred.

The temple wasn't just old— every part of it screamed that it was ancient.

Its towering sandstone walls whispered of forgotten history, of knowledge lost beneath the shifting sands of time. The golden inscriptions gleamed faintly, reacting to unseen energies, woven into the very bones of the structure.

This place was alive.

And Sabaku would have loved to find out every little secret it holds.

And yet, Lion gave zero fucks about Sabaku's admiration.

Without hesitation, without even a pause to acknowledge the magnificence of what lay before them, he strode forward and stepped inside.

Sabaku quickly followed, his boots echoing against the stone floors.

Yesterday, the temple priest who had tattooed his cursed seal had been stationed near the entrance, just a few meters inside the pyramid.

But today, Lion took the staircase leading upward.

Deeper into this wondrous, history-soaked place.

Sabaku could barely contain his curiosity.

His eyes darted from left to right, scanning the walls as if hoping to uncover some hidden Informationen.

And he did.

The entire corridor was covered in ancient seals and symbols, etched deep into the sandstone. Some glowed faintly with residual chakra, while others were cracked and faded, their meanings long lost to time.

Between the seals, murals stretched across the walls, telling stories of a past that had been buried beneath the desert.

One image burned itself into his memory.

A massive pyramid, illuminated by a burning sun.

Countless figures knelt before it in worship, their hands raised in devotion.

'So there really was a god-worshiping cult here… the question is whether gods actually exist in this world. Or at least if they once did.'

His gaze flickered to the cursed seal still branded into his hand.

The resemblance between the flaming sun on the mural and the mark now burned into his flesh was impossible to ignore.

'A coincidence? Probably not.'

The entire interior of the pyramid was bathed in a deep blue glow, chakra flowing like liquid light through the endless seals carved into the stone.

It was breathtakingly beautiful.

It also made him painfully aware of how little he knew about Fuinjutsu. Nothing at all, to be precise.

'I have to learn more about this. If I don't, I'll be walking blind in a world filled with secrets like this.'

Another point added to his to-do list for the future.

Finally, they reached the second level of the pyramid.

Unlike the ancient, seal-covered lower floors, this area was clean. Almost sterile.

The shift was jarring.

It felt… clinical. Way to modern.

"This is where our medical research division operates," Lion stated, his voice as steady as ever. "Only the best medic-nin in Sunagakure are allowed to work here. Camel is one of them. Come, they're expecting us."

His pace didn't slow.

Sabaku followed. He felt a little uneasy. What will they find... and how would it change his future? Does he indeed have a Gekkei Genkei?

At the end of the hallway, Lion stopped before a reinforced door.

He knocked twice, sharp and precise.

Then, without hesitation, he stepped inside.

Sabaku exhaled and followed.

The room smelled sterile—clean, but not in an artificial, chemical way. More like polished stone, parchment, and something faintly herbal.

Sabaku barely had time to take in his surroundings before a woman came striding toward them with a bright grin.

And she was… massive.

Not just tall—though she easily rivaled most men in height—but her proportions were insane.

Her Anbu-Mask wasn't directly on her face. It was on top of her beautiful face. Her eyes twinkled and she wore a captivating smile on her full lips.

But that's not all...

Wide hips, thick thighs, propaply toned abs, and—

'Holy shit.'

Sabaku had seen anime physics before, but on his computer screen. In real life... this was ridiculous.

Her tits were huge. Unreasonably, almost comically huge. And yet, they sat perfectly perky in her tight medical-nin/ anbu uniform, defying both gravity and the logic of any fabric known to man.

His brain short-circuited.

'How?! Is it a trait for female medi-nins?! Is this sunagakure very own rip of version of Tsunade?!'

He could barely stop himself from staring. His entire worldview was being rewritten in real-time.

'This was not what real women looked like. This was not how proportions worked.

What the fuck, anime physics?!'

"Well, well! If it isn't our new little Fennec!" the woman beamed, hands on her very curvy hips as she took in Sabaku with clear amusement. "And of course, our ever-so-serious and sexy Commander Lion!"

Her voice was bubbly, full of warmth and teasing energy. The kind of person who filled a room just by existing.

Sabaku could feel Lion stiffen beside him.

"Stop calling me that," he muttered.

"But it suits you so well~" she sing-songed, leaning dangerously close to the man. "All broody and untouchable. You should smile more, you know? It wouldn't kill you."

Lion said nothing.

Sabaku was fascinated.

He had just witnessed someone openly tease Lion… and it kind of worked...

Even thought he couldn't see the mans face, his hole body language told him.

'Who the hell was this woman? Obviesly Camel but... wtf?!'

As if sensing his thoughts, she turned her glowing golden eyes onto him and smirked.

"I see you're a little overwhelmed," she purred. "Bet you weren't expecting someone as stunning as me, huh?"

Sabaku struggled for words.

"I—uh, I—"

She laughed. A full-bodied, rich laugh that sent… things jiggling.

Impossible things.

"Relax, sweetheart, I get that a lot~" she winked. "The name's Camel. Medic-nin extraordinaire, genius researcher, and—" she twirled a finger through her thick, honey-colored curls before giving him a devastatingly smug grin—"Sunagakure's finest ass."

Sabaku's soul left his body.

"Enough," Lion grumbled, clearly unimpressed. "Get on with it."

Camel huffed, rolling her eyes. "Fine, fine, you killjoy." Then she turned back to Sabaku, giving him a once-over.

"Alright, kiddo. Strip."

Sabaku blinked.

"Excuse me?"

"You heard me~" she sang. "Everything. Off. Right now."

Sabaku felt his brain melt.

"What—why—"

"It's a full-body medical scan," she explained, waving a hand lazily. "You're gonna be running around doing crazy ANBU shit soon, right? We need a baseline of your body's current state. And also need to find every little secret your body hides... i'm so excited to find out if you have a Gekkei Genkei!"

"I—can't I keep my pants—"

"Nope."

"What about my—"

"Not a chance."

Sabaku stared at her, horrified.

Camel grinned.

"Don't tell me you're shy, little Fennec~"

Sabaku was going to die.

Lion sighed, already done with this entire interaction.

"Just do as she says."

Sabaku wanted to fight God.

Or at least whoever invented this medical procedure.

With his dignity hanging by a thread, he reluctantly began removing his uniform.

Camel watched shamelessly.

Sabaku turned redder and redder.

By the time he was fully naked and laying on the cold medical table, staring at the ceiling in utter humiliation, Camel clapped her hands cheerfully.

"See? That wasn't so hard!" she giggled. "Well… you are not ... altleast for now."

Sabaku squeaked.

Lion rubbed his temples.

Camel? Completely unbothered.

"Alright, let's get started~" she chimed, cracking her knuckles. "Hope you're ready, little Fennec. We're gonna find out everything about you~ and your little Fennec!"

She winked at him, just before starring just to obvious at his scrotch.

Sabaku regretted all of his life choices.
