Naruto: Eating A Devil Fruit In The World Of Shinobi

Chapter 46: Chapter 46: Dog Food

Kakashi left, and Kaito naturally had no desire to stay. "See you tomorrow, everyone!"

As soon as he finished speaking, he vanished with a teleportation technique.

It was still early, so Kaito returned home and made some Tremella and lotus seed soup for Hinata and Ino.

This was their favorite, ever since Kaito once mentioned that the soup was good for the skin and complexion. Since then, the two girls drank it daily.

Carrying two thermos cups, Kaito stepped out of the house. After a moment's thought, he took out a third cup and poured the rest of the soup into it.

Hinata's teacher, Kurenai Yuhi, was also a beautiful woman. If Kaito only gave the soup to Hinata and she told Kurenai about its benefits—given Hinata's honesty—Kurenai might become curious. She wouldn't mind once or twice, but what about next time? Better to share it upfront and leave a good impression while also taking care of Hinata's team.

With that thought, a wave of electromagnetic induction spread from Kaito's body, scanning the surroundings. One by one, A human magnetic fields appeared in his perception.

Soon, he sensed two familiar signatures, locked onto their positions, and vanished from his house in a flash.

In a nearby forest, Kurenai stood before her students, giving instructions with her usual calm but assertive tone.

"From your introductions, I understand all three of you are sensory-type ninja. If you pass tomorrow's survival exercise, I'll design training programs tailored to each of your strengths."

"Sensei, someone's coming," Shino suddenly said.

"That scent… damn it, it's Kaito," Inuzuka Kiba muttered, glaring at Hinata with frustration.

"Hm? Ayanami Kaito? The top of your graduating class?" Kurenai raised an eyebrow.

"That's right, Kurenai Sensei," Kaito suddenly appeared beside Hinata, smiling.

"What are you doing here?" Kurenai frowned, clearly irritated.

"What else? Here to show off his love again, obviously. This guy's been doing it for years," Kiba muttered bitterly.

He had thought that graduating from the Academy would finally free him from the endless PDA. Clearly, he'd been too hopeful.

"Don't get me wrong, Sensei. I just brought Hinata some Tremella and lotus seed soup. She loves it—drinks a cup every day," Kaito said with a warm smile, handing the thermos to Hinata and gently smoothing her hair.

"Here, drink it while it's warm."

"Mhm," Hinata said softly, taking it with a shy smile.

Kurenai felt a vein twitch on her forehead.

She finally understood what Kiba meant by "dog food." Over twenty years of living, and still single—yet here she was, forced to watch this lovey-dovey display. Unbelievable.

She gritted her teeth and muttered to herself, I'm not angry… I'm not angry…

"Kurenai Sensei, this one's for you." Kaito handed her the other thermos.

"For me?" Kurenai blinked, surprised.

"Yes. You're Hinata's teacher. Consider it a greeting gift… from Hinata."

"What about us? Is the last cup for me and Shino?" Kiba asked, a little impatiently. He'd heard that Kaito's cooking was on another level—far better than any restaurant.

"This cup's for Ino," Kaito replied, shaking his head.

"Tch. Always choosing the girls over your bros," Kiba grumbled.

"I'll make something for you next time, if I have time. This soup is specially made for women—it's meant to be good for the skin. Not really something a grown man like you needs," Kaito said flatly.

Kurenai had been ready to decline, but after hearing the part about skin benefits, she quickly reconsidered. Every woman cared about her skin—she was no exception.

"Thanks, then." She took the thermos, her previous annoyance fading. Her impression of Kaito subtly improved.

What a considerate young man. Hinata's lucky to have him, she thought to herself.

With just a cup of soup, Kaito had completely won over Kurenai.

"You guys go ahead and continue. I'm off to find Ino," Kaito said, then turned and left.

Team 10 wasn't far from Team 8, so it didn't take long for Kaito to find them.

Unlike Kurenai, Asuma Sarutobi was already very familiar with the Ino-Shika-Cho trio. With a quick introduction, they soon relaxed on the grass, gazing at the clouds.

Asuma hadn't dismissed them yet simply because no one else had either.

"Well, you all look pretty relaxed," Kaito said with a chuckle, approaching and handing a thermos to Ino.

"Huh? Kaito? You're done over there already?" Ino was stunned at first, then beamed as she accepted the cup, her pale hands moving naturally.

Without a word, Kaito pulled out a tissue and wiped a bit of soup from the corner of her lips—his considerate nature shining through once again.

"Ugh, I knew it," Shikamaru groaned. "If we ended up in the same team, the dog food would've never stopped."
