However, Hiashi didn't respond to Sakumo's words. He leapt back onto the second floor, looked toward where Nawaki and Minato stood, and shook his head at them. 

"What did he mean by that?" Nawaki murmured, somewhat confused by Hiashi's actions. 

Minato seemed thoughtful as he replied, "From the beginning of the fight, Sempai Hiashi should have been able to win easily. The reason Satoshi Miyazaki was able to create distance between them was completely because the former held back." 

"You're saying he was taking care of Satoshi Miyazaki's feelings?" Although Nawaki wasn't as quick-witted as Minato, he certainly wasn't stupid. 

"Mm," Minato nodded. "So I think he probably wouldn't want us telling him the exact cause of his injury. Otherwise, Miyazaki-sempai would surely feel guilty." 

When Nawaki heard this, his look toward Hiashi changed slightly.

Mikoto's kunai fell to the ground, though she had never imagined the battle would end so easily. While throwing those kunai, her hands had already begun forming Hand Seals.

Mikoto formed a set of Hand Seals at incredible speed. Then she clapped her hands together, aligning her index fingers before her mouth, from which a powerful jet of flame erupted.
