Regardless of humanity's stance, the Nine-Tailed Beasts differ greatly from each other. Besides differences in appearance, the most obvious distinction lies in the number of tails. The Nine-Tails is undoubtedly the strongest while Shukaku, the One-Tail, is relatively much weaker. But does having more tails necessarily mean greater power? It's hard to say — in fact, the number of tails doesn't directly represent strength, but rather the amount of chakra it possesses.

If the difference in chakra reserves is too great, it might result in a significant gap in actual power. However, Kakashi Hatake, whose chakra reserves are far less than Naruto Uzumaki's, is not necessarily weaker than him.

Thus, although tailed beasts vary greatly in nature and chakra volume, they're essentially similar at their core.

One particularly important characteristic of tailed beasts is divisibility. Using Yin-Yang Release, Otsutsuki Hagoromo forcibly separated the Ten-Tails into nine independent tailed beasts. In fact, the Nine-Tails could be further divided using Yang Release as well. Mizuki chose not to target nearby Naruto not only because of the danger involved and the Nine-Tails being incomplete within him, but also due to Minato Namikaze's residual spiritual presence, reincarnated Asura's chakra, and even hidden safeguards left by the Sage of Six Paths. There were just too many uncertainties. Therefore, targeting Gaara seemed more reliable.

Seeing the emergence of the tiny tailed beast, Mizuki was greatly shocked at first, then quickly filled with delight.

Separating tailed beast chakra was no simple matter. The Ten-Tails had split into nine independent entities, each possessing its own consciousness. Even when Minato Namikaze divided the Nine-Tails into Yin and Yang halves, neither half lost its individual awareness.

Without Yang Technique abilities or the Uzumaki clan's sealing methods inherited by Minato from Kushina Uzumaki, obtaining a "mini-Shukaku" with independent consciousness was extremely difficult for Mizuki. His only option had been to gather vast quantities of chakra, hoping that over time an awareness would naturally develop, thereby creating a stable source of tailed beast chakra for his experiments. He hadn't expected this troublesome problem to be solved so effortlessly. Perhaps even Shukaku never imagined someone would actually target the physical form of the tailed beasts themselves.

Without hesitation, Mizuki swiftly manipulated the barrier to contract until it encompassed just the miniature Shukaku. As the controlled area dramatically shrank, the barrier's intensity increased accordingly.

Turning his attention away from the barrier, Mizuki shifted focus to Gaara. With part of Shukaku's main consciousness now severed, the increasingly agitated beast threatened to erupt once more.

"You got out once before, but if I let you out again now, all my seal training would've been for nothing."

Mizuki pulled out a scroll and quickly approached, pressing his hand firmly onto Gaara.

With proper preparation, Mizuki's capabilities could barely handle the Eight Trigrams Sealing Style. Still, it was cumbersome and entirely unnecessary for Gaara. Though not a powerful sealing method, the Spirit Medium Reincarnation did have its advantages, making it a decent jinchuriki sealing technique. After all, one of the Five Great Ninja Villages—Sunagakure—wouldn't have adopted it otherwise. Right now, merely containing leaking chakra equated to reinforcing the existing seal, making the Four Symbols Seal more than sufficient.

Seeing Shukaku subdued, Mizuki redirected his attention back to the small version trapped within the barrier. A satisfied smile appeared as he retrieved another sealing scroll.

If the artificial jinchuriki had spent the past month setting up barriers and gathering chakra, Mizuki's original body had been focused solely on preparing the item in his hand. As the seal released, revealing a frail, thin figure, the most striking feature was the brilliant golden hair—clearly belonging to Naruto Uzumaki's clone.

To prevent powerful atavistic effects from draining its life force, Mizuki had continuously nurtured it within his own chakra environment. Though not as effective as Naruto's original chakra, this method still managed to suppress extreme mutations effectively.

Gazing at the face so similar to Naruto Uzumaki's, Mizuki lost no time in beginning the Eight Trigrams Sealing Style.

Tailed beast chakra was not like ordinary chakra—it couldn't be sealed and stored just anywhere. Since it was troublesome for Mizuki to obtain complex tools, who else would be a better vessel than Naruto Uzumaki himself, already within reach? Even without Ashura's chakra or the protagonist's shadow, those of the Uzumaki bloodline were naturally the ideal jinchuriki candidates. It was only natural that sealing tailed beast chakra within him would be effortless.
