Chapter 230: Chapter 230: Pudding's time to shine

"This is what you forced me to do—Shadow Collection!"

After being beaten and bloodied, Moria, who was rolling on the ground, roared furiously. Immediately, the shadows of countless zombies quickly entered his body.

Moria's body swelled rapidly, and soon, his entire form changed. Supporting himself on the ground with two strong arms, his veins bulged all over his body, his eyes rolled back, and he let out a thunderous roar while hammering the ground violently.

Ulti and Page One easily dodged Moria's attack, and Ulti couldn't help but sneer, "Is this your ultimate technique? A move you can't even control—who exactly do you think you're dealing with?"

"You're really a useless halfwit. No wonder all your companions were killed by Lord Kaido!"

At this moment, Moria had almost lost consciousness. However, upon hearing Ulti's taunt, something about the mention of his fallen comrades seemed to strike a nerve.

With a roar, he forcibly regained consciousness despite the interference of thousands of shadows within him. His previously sluggish movements suddenly accelerated, and with a violent swing of his arm, he landed a direct hit on Ulti.

"Die!"

Ulti, realizing too late that she had gone too far, had completely enraged Moria. In his Shadow Collection state, Moria's control was erratic—his speed was slow, his movements were clumsy, and he was prone to losing shadows upon taking damage. However, his attack power and raw strength were monstrous.

Taking a direct blow, Ulti immediately coughed up blood, and before she could react, Moria slammed her into the ground.

"Sister! You bastard, let her go!"

Page One transformed into a massive dinosaur and sank his fangs into Moria's arm. However, in his frenzied state, Moria ignored the pain and violently swung his arm, slamming Page One to the ground. Even as flesh tore from his arm, he continued his rampage.

His two arms stretched out wildly, flailing with such force that even Shin couldn't help but comment, "What an interesting spectacle, don't you think?"

Shin's remark was not without reason. If Moria's shadows weren't constantly leaking out, he could simply be stalled until he exhausted himself. Even though his power had dramatically increased, his control had plummeted, making him far less of a threat. Winning against him in this state wasn't particularly difficult.

Ulti's brashness led to her downfall, putting her younger brother in danger. It was a classic villain-boss battle scenario—except the protagonist wasn't even supposed to be her.

Still, regardless of the situation, they needed to be saved. Just as Shin was about to intervene, Pudding stepped forward confidently.

"Mr. Shin, leave this guy to me."

Without waiting for a response, Pudding charged ahead. After all, the Ulti siblings were genuinely on the brink of being beaten to death.

The Mangekyō Sharingan spun as Pudding suddenly locked eyes with Moria, who was now completely deranged. Moria's raised arm trembled mid-swing, and a dazed look crossed his face.

"W-What... happened to me?"

Moria froze for just a moment, but that was all Pudding needed. Without hesitation, she grabbed Ulti and Page One and pulled them to safety.

The ability Pudding had just used was reminiscent of the rumor that a goldfish's memory only lasts seven seconds. Her jutsu could erase moments of memory from her opponent, and its effectiveness depended on the target's chakra, strength, and resistance. It bore a resemblance to the Memory-Memory Fruit's power but lacked its flexibility. However, unlike the devil fruit, Pudding didn't even need direct physical contact—she could simply user her jutsu from a distance.

Once hit, unless someone was as strong as an Emperor or an Admiral, they would lose a portion of their memory. Even if the gap was just a few seconds, in battle, that could be fatal. Imagine throwing a punch, fully prepared to smash your opponent's skull, only to suddenly forget the past few seconds and find yourself mid-swing with no recollection of what you were doing. The mismatch between memory and movement could lead to disastrous consequences—disjointed attacks, misplaced force, or even self-inflicted injuries.

Compared to the Memory-Memory Fruit's more general abilities, the Mangekyō Sharingan's amnestic technique was devastating in battle. It was especially effective against Moria, who had already overloaded his mind with the power of thousands of shadows. As soon as he was struck by the technique, he involuntarily expelled a large portion of them.

A flood of shadows flowed out from his body, and his form shrank by half. Moria, confused by what had just happened, instinctively clamped his mouth shut to prevent losing more shadows. But before he could react, Pudding locked eyes with him once again.

"!!!"

The last of the shadows were expelled. Moria, now devoid of his accumulated power, felt his strength completely drained. Wounded and disoriented, he struggled to comprehend what had happened.

Then he looked up and saw the enormous figure looming behind Pudding. Realizing he was about to be struck, he instinctively tried to dodge—but just as he moved, his mind blanked out again.

"Wait... where are those two dinosaur brats? Why—"

His thoughts were cut off as a massive hand slammed into his head. Blood splattered as Moria's body was sent crashing to the ground. His eyes rolled back, and he lost consciousness entirely.
