Naruto: I am Uchiha Fugaku

Chapter 161: Naruto: I am Uchiha Fugaku [161]

"Corpse Refinement—"

Using the Corpse Refinement pupil technique of his left eye, Fugaku Uchiha inserted the Uchiha clan member's body into it.

As the body was refined, a unique biological tissue emerged.

This tissue then split into two streams: one merged with the cells of his left eye, and the other with the cells of his right eye.

A cool, refreshing sensation spread through his eyes, as if they were submerged in cool water on a summer day—a truly pleasant, icy feeling.

Moments later, the corpse refinement ended, and the cool sensation faded.

He assessed his eyes.

Since his pupil power was consumed by the jutsu, he couldn't tell if his total pupil power had increased.

However, he noticed his vision had become clearer. This indicated a slight improvement in the Sharingan's basic insight ability.

Though the improvement was minor—like a 300x magnifying glass becoming 320x—it was undeniably there.

From this, he inferred that refining this Uchiha clan member's corpse had likely enhanced various aspects of his eyes.

This further suggested that refining the corpses of clan members with Uchiha bloodlines could indeed evolve his eyes into the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.

"Continue!"

He unsealed another Uchiha clan member's corpse from a sealing scroll and continued the refinement.

The second.

The third.

The fourth.

The fifth.

The sixth.

After all six Uchiha clan members' bodies were refined, the improvement in Fugaku's eyes became strikingly obvious.

His vision was clearer than ever before. If he wished, he could even spot a tiny speck of dust on the opposite basement wall.

Undoubtedly, refining six Uchiha clan members' corpses had significantly boosted his Mangekyo Sharingan.

"Unfortunately, it's still not enough; it hasn't evolved into the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan yet!"

To his slight disappointment, the highest bloodline concentration among these six Uchiha clan members only allowed for a two-tomoe Sharingan, meaning their bloodline concentration wasn't particularly high.

After refining these six bodies, he didn't feel the sensation of his Sharingan evolving.

This indicated his eyes were still the Mangekyo Sharingan and hadn't advanced to the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.

"It seems the key to evolving into the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan can only be found in Itachi Uchiha's corpse!"

A chilling glint appeared in Fugaku's eyes. Killing that traitor, Itachi Uchiha, and using his corpse to evolve his eyes into the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan would be killing two birds with one stone.

Meanwhile, in Konoha Village, a woman walked down a street. She was tall and lean, with magatama earrings adorning her ears. She exuded a heroic aura rather than typical feminine softness.

She hadn't entered Konoha through its main entrance but had infiltrated it. As one of the Five Great Shinobi Villages, Konoha's surrounding sensory barrier was incredibly strong, making it difficult for even an average Kage-level ninja to bypass it.

However, Konoha's barrier was useless against her; she had slipped into the village without triggering it.

"Quite a change!"

The woman's lips curled into a strange smile as she curiously observed the buildings and shops on the street. She had left Konoha several years ago, and since then, the village had undergone massive changes. Many buildings had disappeared, many new ones had been erected, and even the streets had been altered.

She headed toward a less populated area, and gradually, the number of pedestrians dwindled. When she entered a narrow alley, she was completely alone.

Stepping into an abandoned house, she summoned a small snake, placed a note in its mouth, and watched as it burrowed into the ground and vanished. She then waited.

After about half an hour, a young man cautiously surveyed his surroundings before entering the alley. He wore glasses and had long white hair tied back.

"You are...?"

The young man entered the abandoned house where the woman was waiting and saw her. He eyed her warily. He had been summoned by Orochimaru, yet found a stranger instead.

"Kabuto, don't you recognize me?"

A hoarse voice, tinged with amusement and a hint of chilliness, came from the woman.

"You are... Lord Orochimaru!"

Hearing the voice, the young man's expression shifted slightly. That familiar way of speaking immediately made him realize that this woman was the one who had summoned him—Orochimaru.

This was no simple transformation or disguise jutsu. Recalling a forbidden jutsu Orochimaru was researching, he felt a mix of shock and reverence.

"Lord Orochimaru, why have you suddenly come to Konoha?" the young man asked after bowing.

His name was Kabuto Yakushi. He was once a member of the Anbu Root before leaving to join Orochimaru's ranks. Currently, he was operating as Orochimaru's spy, using an identity fabricated by Orochimaru to infiltrate Konoha.

"I had a deal with Danzo Shimura, but the agreed-upon time passed, and Danzo didn't show up, so I came into the village to see what was going on," Orochimaru said casually, completely unconcerned that she was a rogue ninja of Konoha who would face the full force of the village if discovered.

"Danzo Shimura."

Hearing that name, a hint of coldness flashed across Kabuto's face. As a former Root member, his hatred for Danzo was considerable.

Taking a deep breath, the coldness vanished from his face, replaced by a false smile.

"Lord Orochimaru, your deal with Danzo Shimura will likely be canceled."

"Oh?"

Orochimaru looked at Kabuto with interest, waiting for him to continue.

Pushing up his glasses, Kabuto said with his false smile, "Just a few days ago, there was a commotion in the Root. All of the Tongue Sealing Curses Danzo Shimura placed on Root members disappeared, and Danzo Shimura himself has lost contact and is missing."

Though Danzo Shimura's disappearance was still officially a secret, the news had already spread among the various influential clans within the village. Kabuto had learned of it through various channels not long ago.

"The Tongue Sealing Curses disappeared?"

Orochimaru's long tongue flicked out from her mouth, and a sinister smile spread across her face. She naturally knew what the disappearance of the Tongue Sealing Curses meant. Given Danzo Shimura's ruthless nature, he would never have voluntarily removed the Tongue Sealing Curses. The only possible reason was that Danzo Shimura was dead.

"How interesting. Danzo Shimura was cautious his entire life, yet in the end, he couldn't escape being killed!"
