Naruto: I Am Uchiha Sasuke!?

Chapter 14: Chapter 13 Ready To Take Test

Inside the ninja school, the Third Hokage stood on the stage, delivering a speech.

"Children, as Hokage, it is my duty to protect and guide you as you grow..."

"You are the hope of Konoha, the future of the Fire Nation..."

"I believe you will inherit and carry forward the Will of Fire, dedicating yourselves to the village and becoming the pillars of Konoha!"

...

"Wherever the leaves fly, the fire continues to burn!"

...

"Well said, Lord Hokage!"

"We believe in you!"

"That was so inspiring!"

The Third Hokage beamed as he finished his impassioned speech. The crowd erupted in thunderous applause. The students, caught up in the moment, felt their spirits ignite with enthusiasm, a newfound determination to protect Konoha taking root in their hearts.

"Lord Hokage, we will support you!"

"Lead Konoha to even greater strength, Lord Hokage!"

...

"I heard that Lord Sarutobi is the strongest Hokage in history."

"Yeah, he's known as the Professor of Ninjutsu! He has mastered thousands of jutsu!"

"He's even called the God of Shinobi!"

"Wait, isn't that title reserved for the First Hokage?"

"I don't know, but the adults in the village say so..."

...

Among the crowd, Sasuke remained impassive. Watching the people around him react with fervor, he couldn't help but sneer inwardly.

'God of Shinobi? Hah! Putting gold on his own face again.'

Sasuke knew the true God of Shinobi was the First Hokage, Senju Hashirama. With his unparalleled regeneration, Wood Style, and unmatched power, he was worthy of the title.

Sarutobi Hiruzen? He couldn't compare, not even if he tried.

In fact, Sasuke suspected that the title had been deliberately spread to bolster Hiruzen's image.

Soon, the Third Hokage stepped down.

"Lord Hokage..."

The various clan heads, each accompanied by their children, approached him in greeting—except for the Hyuga clan.

"Haha, in the near future, you will all see your children grow into fine shinobi! Konoha's future rests on their shoulders..."

Sarutobi exchanged pleasantries with the clan leaders before departing, surrounded by his aides.

...

Iruka then stepped onto the stage to explain the details of the graduation exam. The students listened attentively, including Sasuke.

"I see, five tests?" Sasuke mused. No wonder this assessment was considered comprehensive.

The five tests included the basic Three Basic Techniques—Transformation Jutsu, Body Replacement Jutsu, and Clone Jutsu—as well as Shurikenjutsu and Taijutsu. Each test was worth 20 points, making 100 the highest possible score.

A total score of 60 or higher meant passing and qualifying to become a Genin.

Iruka took out the roster and began calling names.

"First up, Nara Shikamaru!"

Shikamaru yawned as he lazily made his way forward.

"Hey, Shikaku, it's your kid's turn. Let's see how he does."

"These basic jutsu should be no problem for a Nara."

"Haha, just watch."

Nara Shikaku crossed his arms, looking confident.

Poof!

With a puff of smoke, Shikamaru transformed into a perfect copy of Iruka.

"Shikamaru, excellent work! Full marks for Transformation Jutsu!"

He continued with Body Replacement and Clone Jutsu, performing well in all three. With just these techniques, he had already earned over fifty points.

Nara Shikaku nodded in satisfaction, while the other clan heads acknowledged his son's ability.

"Alright, next up, Yamanaka Ino..."

Iruka continued down the list, scoring students based on their jutsu proficiency and execution time.

"Hyuga Hinata, Three Basic Techniques total score: 55."

"Akimichi Chōji, 48 points."

The disparity between ninja clan students and civilians became apparent. Most students from established clans excelled, while civilian students struggled to keep up.

"Clone Jutsu!" Naruto called out, forming a seal.

However, his clone was anemic and barely stood.

Iruka sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Naruto, I have to give you 0 points for this."

"Come on, Iruka-sensei! I actually made a clone this time! Can't you cut me some slack?"

Naruto pleaded, but Iruka remained firm.

Meanwhile, some parents whispered amongst themselves, casting disdainful glances in Naruto's direction.

"Hmph, the demon fox truly is the worst of the bunch."

Sasuke observed the scene, unfazed.

Many people misunderstood Naruto's capabilities. Few knew that the Nine-Tails' chakra interference disrupted his control, making jutsu difficult for him. His potential was actually quite high, but it was being overshadowed by this setback.

"Next, Uchiha Sasuke!" Iruka called out loudly.

"Sasuke, you got this!"

"Don't worry, for a genius like Sasuke, this exam is a breeze!"

"Yeah, the Three Basic Techniques won't be a challenge for him!"

The girls cheered in excitement, brimming with confidence in Sasuke's abilities.

Meanwhile, murmurs spread among the gathered parents.

"Uchiha? Is he from that Sharingan clan?"

"That dark-haired boy is a survivor of the Uchiha massacre?"

"Interesting. The Uchiha clan was known for producing geniuses. Let's see if he lives up to the reputation."

"Hmph, geniuses? If they were so great, how did they get wiped out?"

...

Despite the skepticism, all eyes were on Sasuke as he stepped forward, ready to take the test.
