Naruto : Konoha Light

Chapter 54: 54.

Second Grade Classroom

When Shimizu mentioned his invitation, his classmates erupted in shock.

"Eh???"

"Elder sister?"

"Since when did you have an elder sister?"

Shimizu and looked at Asuma. "That night—it was Sister Kushina."

Asuma frowned, recalling the terrifying presence from before. "Didn't the old man say she was dangerous?"

He still vividly remembered how terrifyingly violent her chakra felt that night. If Shimizu hadn't called out, he might not be standing here today.

Shimizu shook his head. "Not at all. Sister Kushina is actually really nice. She even visits me in the hospital and is teaching me sealing techniques."

Asuma blinked in disbelief. "Wait, what? She's teaching you sealing techniques?"

He couldn't understand why he hadn't received the same treatment. "I trained hard too! Why hasn't she looked for me?"

Asuma sulked, feeling unfairly overlooked.

The First-Grade Classroom

In the corner of the room, unsettling laughter echoed.

"Hehehe…"

Nearby, Might Guy shivered. "Obito, can you not laugh like that? It's creepy!"

But Obito wasn't listening. His smile widened, his eyes locked onto an empty seat.

Might Guy sighed. "What are you even smiling about?"

Obito finally responded, his voice filled with excitement. "I caught Rin secretly looking at me during class!"

Might Guy was puzzled. "Wait… how do you know she was looking at you?"

Obito beamed. "Because I stared at her for the entire period!"

Might Guy's face twisted in horror. "Dude. That's… that's creepy."

From the front row, Kakashi closed his book and muttered without looking back, "Idiot."

Obito immediately exploded. "Shut up, you smug jerk! You're just jealous!"

Kakashi smirked. "Jealous of what? The worst student in the class?"

Obito clenched his fists. "I swear, I'll fight you!"

Before the argument escalated, Rin suddenly ran over, her face slightly flushed.

"Obito, what are you doing?" she asked, frowning.

Obito awkwardly hid his hands behind his back. "Uh—haha! Nothing! Just… swatting mosquitoes!"

Rin ignored his excuse and got straight to the point. "Shimizu invited us to a weekend gathering. Do you have time?"

Obito's eyes widened. "Of course!"

His excitement skyrocketed. This was the perfect chance to spend time with Rin!

But just as he started imagining their time together, a calm voice interrupted.

"Can I join too?"

Obito turned and glared. "What the hell, Kakashi?! You don't even like group activities!"

But before he could protest, Rin smiled. "Shimizu said any friend can come."

Kakashi nodded. "Thanks." His tone was unreadable.

Might Guy suddenly lit up. "Kakashi! Are you planning to challenge Shimizu?"

Obito and Rin both turned, equally intrigued.

Kakashi hesitated. The memory of his crushing defeat was still fresh. He had been proud—learning an A-rank jutsu at five years old was no small feat. But Shimizu had shattered that pride effortlessly.

He clenched his fists, then exhaled. "I haven't found a way to counter his illusion techniques yet. For now, I'll just observe."
