Naruto: Konoha's Silent Death

Chapter 2: Start

Kagami awakened his memories a month ago, when the Kyuubi devastated Konoha. From what he remembered, in his memory that seemed to be slowly disappearing, or he just didn't have enough processing to remember, his past life was just ordinary.

A high school student without many qualifications, just average. Nothing interesting to tell, nothing you really need to know.

Currently, like other babies who lost their parents that day, he was trapped in a crib at the orphanage. From what he could vaguely understand, his father was an Uchiha who had been exiled by the clan for not awakening the sharingan, and his mother was an ordinary person from the Kurama clan who had also been exiled for not having exceptional abilities.

The marriage between the two was basically to unite the two Clans and end any problems that existed, in addition to having another ally against the extremists of Konoha who were against the Uchiha clan.

When he heard this, Kagami didn't know whether he should feel lucky or unlucky.

Well, but thinking about the future, the event of the massacre in the Uchiha clan, he should feel happy about not inheriting the Uchiha surname. After all, who would give importance to the son of two exiles?

Thinking about this, Kagami let out a sigh inwardly.

...

Time passed slowly, Kagami first began to babble incomprehensible words, and in a few months he was already able to say some basic words.

His body slowly adapted to his movements in the crib, making his muscles and bones much firmer over time. Soon he could stand for a minute without falling to the floor, but he was still far from walking normally.

Kagami was extremely cute as a child, so many of the caregivers would spend hours in his room, just to play and 'teach' him new words.

Kagami was fluent in Japanese, even because he was one in the past.

Currently, besides Kagami spending most of his time in the crib and learning new things, he was always thinking about the events that would come in the future.

Whether it's internal dangers like Danzo and the massacre of the Uchiha clan, there would soon be the invasion of Orochimaru and the Sand, Pain's attack and also the fourth great shinobi world war.

All of this seemed to be screaming that he should hurry up and get stronger, unfortunately it wasn't possible. He couldn't go around talking to everyone and showing himself to be a 'Genius', that would be suicide.

However, even though he kept to himself that he should not draw attention too soon, he knew that if he did not demonstrate enough potential among the new generation, the future that awaited him would not be good at all.

Kagami was still unsure of what his potential would be in this world, but he knew it shouldn't be ordinary.

First of all, he was the son of an Uchiha, albeit one of the weakest. Furthermore, his mother was from the Kurama clan, a clan that was famous for their powerful Genjutsu, being able to transform genjutsu into something real. So, mixing one of the eyes best known for its Genjutsu and the bloodline with the strongest Genjutsu, what would come of it?

"Whatever it is, I mustn't let my guard down and end up falling into disaster along with the Uchiha clan!" Kagami thought.

Unlike other protagonists who would try their best to save the clan from genocide, Kagami wouldn't do that. Remembering how most of the shit in the anime was done by someone from that clan, Kagami wasn't at all willing to save them and bring misfortune upon himself.

Furthermore, even if he could save the Uchiha clan, wouldn't the story have taken a completely different turn from the original? Kagami wasn't a fool to end the only advantage he had in this world.

Other people might think; 'But his appearance in this world will already influence the world around him', that might be true, but what could Kagami do about it? He couldn't just kill himself to let the world run as it should, right?

Knowing this, Kagami was ready to use any and every advantage he could to rise up in this world.

Thinking about this, even without much expectation, Kagami closed his eyes and calmed down, trying to feel the chakra in his body. The best basis for learning anything, except taijutsu, was good chakra control.

Both the Uchiha and Kurama clans were famous for having relatively high amounts of chakra, so Kagami wanted to learn perfect control from an early age. Furthermore, he would also have to have some control over his own mind, after all, the Kurama clan was also famous for their genjutsu 'accidents' while practicing.

Kagami didn't want to wake up one day and realize that the orphanage and everyone who lived there had suddenly caught fire.

"As Shikamaru would say, that would be troublesome!" — Kagami kept his eyes closed and remained in that state for several minutes.

When a caregiver passed by the room, she couldn't resist looking inside and smiling at the little baby sleeping peacefully.

As a baby, besides his natural cuteness, what was most noticeable about Kagami, without a doubt, were his yellowish, almost golden eyes. This was because this was not a common eye color for the inhabitants of Konoha, which is why Kagami was very loved in the orphanage.

Other than that, he was like any other one-year-old baby, he didn't have much hair, his face was chubby, and he cried loudly whenever he needed something.

Minutes passed, then hours, and when two hours had passed without Kagami moving a muscle, his eyes suddenly opened.

"I did it! I finally figured out how to move chakra through my body!"

Thus, after a year in this world, Kagami awakened the chakra in his body. Furthermore, unbeknownst to him, in that short period of time, the two chakra paths in his eyes were filled with chakra and reflected in his eyes, a Sharingan with two tomoes in each eye.

Kagami had activated the Sharingan, but it only lasted for a second before disappearing.
