"Kazuyama, looks like Kokuō won't be hitting the ground after all."

Thanks to his insect eyes, Chōmei could see farther than anyone. From his perspective, Kokuō had already stabilized her posture and was preparing to land.

"Who said she gets to land?"

"Why should we let her?"

With a wave of his hand, Kazuyama conjured a crystal bird, which immediately shot toward Kokuō. The bird carried his technique seal.

Just as Kokuō was about to touch down, the bird reached her side—and before she could react, Kazuyama's figure appeared right next to her.

"You bastard! Konoha Ghost, what are you—"

She didn't even finish her sentence before vanishing again.

Kokuō was left dumbfounded. Even Chōmei was stunned.

The fleeing Iwagakure shinobi were also completely speechless.

Was this guy even human?

That was a Tailed Beast! How could he... just make it disappear like that?

And what about Four-Tails?

But Rōshi was just as pissed. He immediately started pounding the surrounding rock.

The ground trembled slightly. Though the tremors weren't strong, the people fighting on the surface still felt it.

But with both sides locked in combat, they ignored it entirely.

Back on the battlefield, with Jiraiya's arrival, the pressure on Konoha's side eased significantly.

Even so, against the onslaught of the poisonous bees, casualties were still mounting every moment.

Suddenly, a yellow figure burst into the middle of the battlefield. A second later, several oddly-shaped kunai were thrown in all directions.

"Yeah, I'm late."

"But the insecticide's here."

The yellow figure sped across the field, smashing one glass vial after another.

As each bottle shattered, a cloud of gas spread through the area—this was the insecticide.

Under its potent effect, both the poisonous bees and the kikaichū scattered and fled in droves.

After enduring the battle for so long, Tsunade finally shouted with excitement.

With the insecticide taking the pressure off and reinforcements finally on the scene, this was the best news Konoha could've hoped for.

"Damn, it's the Yellow Flash—one of Konoha's Twin Stars!"

"Everyone, unleash your strongest ninjutsu! End this fast!"

The name of the Yellow Flash struck even more fear into hearts than that of the Konoha Ghost.

After all, the Yellow Flash had slain countless enemies on the battlefield. His appearance now cast a heavy shadow over the Iwagakure shinobi.

But they didn't retreat. Their formation split evenly—some charged forward while others quickly pulled back, swallowed military ration pills, and began focusing their chakra for large-scale ninjutsu.

"Tsunade, how's the situation?"

"Pretty good timing on my part, huh? Hahahaha!"

Gamabunta was still tearing through the enemy lines in the middle of the battlefield when Jiraiya suddenly slipped through an opening and appeared in front of Tsunade, boasting the moment he arrived.

She immediately rewarded him with a series of eye-rolls.

"You're late. But since you brought the insecticide, I'll let it slide."

Tsunade's jab didn't faze Jiraiya in the slightest.

"Orochimaru whipped that stuff up on short notice."

"There wasn't enough time to make a proper antidote, so he went with mass-producing insecticide instead."

"That's what held us up."

Tsunade nodded in understanding, then asked, "Did you see that brat Kazuyama near the rear of the battlefield?"

"He rushed in earlier, but there's been no word from him since."

The mention of Kazuyama made Jiraiya's face twitch slightly in annoyance—he still wasn't fond of that 'White-Haired Sage' nickname.

"That kid's not bad. He used Flying Thunder God to intercept Iwagakure's Tailed Beast."

"Back in the Land of Rivers, he supposedly transferred the One-Tail. I didn't believe it at the time, but now I do."

"He actually managed to warp away the massive Four-Tails just like that."

Tsunade's eyes widened at the thought of Kazuyama going head-to-head with a Tailed Beast.

But the battle wasn't over yet...

Back at the rear of the battlefield.

Kokuō was once again airborne, continuing her descent.

Han looked like he was on the verge of a breakdown.

Why? Why was he about to land only to be thrown back up again?

"Damn that Konoha Ghost! This Space–Time ninjutsu is driving me crazy!"

"Damn it!"

Suspended midair, Kokuō began releasing steam, her fearsome chakra steadily climbing.

Seeing the opportunity, Kazuyama prepared to strike back at the squad led by Iwa.

"Crystal Release: Jade Crystal Clone Technique."

As the crystal solidified, four clones appeared. This time, Kazuyama was the one initiating the assault.

"Kazuyama, if I remember right, that Explosion Release guy you took out before was part of the same unit, wasn't he?"

"Yeah, so sending these guys to reunite with him doesn't sound so bad..."
