Naruto: Kurotsuchi Mayuri

The gentle drizzle blended with a thin mist, drifting through the surroundings.

At a supply point near the border of the Land of Fire, a fiery glow illuminated the area.

Shadowy black figures loomed within the fog. Under the command of a tall, burly Iwagakure ninja wearing a red ninja hat and sporting a prominent nose, the figures moved in unison, executing the same Earth Release technique with precision.

This large-scale ninja formation was one of the war tactics developed by the Five Great Ninja Villages during times of conflict. When many ninjas combined their efforts, even the simplest jutsu could unleash destruction akin to a natural disaster.

Iwagakure possessed several specialized units trained exclusively for warfare.

As the jutsu was activated, the ground in front of the Iwagakure unit cracked open like an earthquake.

The earth churned like a massive dragon, hurling rocks and soil into the air before slamming back down with a thunderous crash.

A single Earth Release: Tearing Earth Turning Palm, when controlled and guided by the lead Iwagakure ninja, demonstrated destructive power capable of causing landslides and earthquakes.

This was the devastating force of large-scale war jutsu.

The Konoha supply point ahead, already damaged and weakened from prior attacks, stood no chance against this assault. Only a handful of stationed ninjas, along with some injured comrades, managed to escape the jutsu's devastating range.

"Eliminate them quickly. We need to move to the next supply point," ordered the leading Iwagakure ninja.

"Understood!" A 12-man Iwagakure pursuit squad immediately sprang into action, chasing after the fleeing Konoha ninjas.

"Wait a moment! I'm detecting over ten chakra sources nearby. Three of them seem to be at the jōnin level!"

The sensor ninja within the Iwagakure team suddenly Garited, pointing toward a specific direction shrouded in fog.

"Konoha reinforcements?" The lead Iwagakure ninja remained calm, issuing instructions with composed authority.

"Human Boulder!"

A deafening roar pierced through the mist as a massive rolling ball of flesh barreled forward. The sheer momentum tore through the mist and air, smashing everything in its path with overwhelming force as it surged toward the Iwagakure formation.

Given the enormous size and speed of Akimichi Chodai's Human Boulder technique, if he managed to crash into the Iwagakure camp, the damage and losses inflicted would be devastating in an instant.

The Iwagakure leader understood this clearly. His hands moved rapidly, leaving afterimages as he formed a series of seals. He then bent down and slammed his palms onto the ground with force.

Earth Release: Earth Flow Fortress!

With a surge of chakra pouring through his hands and feet into the earth below, the ground before him cracked open horizontally with a rumbling sound. A massive wall of land rose up like a fortress, lifting the Iwagakure leader and his forces high into the air.

Boom! 

The rampaging Human Boulder crashed into the Earth Flow Fortress, drilling a massive hole through it as it spun at high speed.

After bouncing off the ground a few times like a rubber ball, Akimichi Chodai steadied himself and astonishingly began rolling up the Fortress itself.

Earth Release: Rock Cannon Technique! 

The Iwagakure forces, stationed at the edge of the Fortress, quickly formed a formation and launched their next counterattack under the leader's command.

Small stones shot from their mouths like slingshot projectiles, growing larger as they traveled through the air. These stones eventually transformed into massive, solid cannonballs, raining down on the advancing Human Boulder.

The sky seemed to pour stones in a relentless barrage.

The Rock Cannon Technique collided with the rolling Human Boulder, yet its momentum remained undiminished. Instead, the stones that struck its surface rebounded and shattered mid-air, reduced to fragments.

"Move aside, let me handle this!"

Seeing the colossal form of the Human Boulder rolling onto the Fortress and casting a massive shadow over the forces below, the Iwagakure leader finally decided to intervene. 

In a flash, he appeared at the impact point of the Human Boulder's descent. His right hand became encased in layers of rock as he swung his fist with immense force at the oncoming mass.

The spinning Human Boulder instantly sheared off most of the rock covering the leader's hand. However, the sheer power behind his punch sent the Human Boulder flying like a rubber ball into the sky, revealing a face that many Iwagakure shinobi found eerily familiar.

Akimichi Chodai! 

The Iwagakure leader skidded backward from the impact, his feet leaving two shallow trenches in the ground.

Despite the shock to his body and the numbness in his hand, the leader wasted no time. Quickly forming seals, he launched his next attack.

Earth Release: Earth Pillar Explosion! 

As Akimichi Chodai was about to crash down, numerous earthen spears erupted from the ground in a straight line toward his landing point. These spear-like pillars, resembling bamboo shoots, aimed their sharp tips upward, ready to impale him as he fell.

Gentle Fist Art: Circular Slash! 

A crescent-shaped blade of air slashed through the erupting earth spears, cleanly cutting them down like a scythe through wheat.

Under the commanding gaze of the Iwagakure leader, a Konoha shinobi with Byakugan locked eyes with him, the veins around his eyes bulging prominently.

Boom!

Akimichi Chodai's body expanded once more. Despite his rounded physique, he performed an agile mid-air flip, landing gracefully outside the range of the Earth Pillar Explosion technique. His seemingly clumsy movements carried a peculiar elegance.

When his massive and heavy body hit the ground, the earth seemed to ripple from the impact. As he stood upright, his height towered over the raised Earth Flow Fortress wall by half a head.

Beneath him, Hyūga Ran seemed like an insignificant insect.

In terms of sheer size, Akimichi Chodai at this moment rivaled the Tailed Beasts and the summon beasts of the Sannin.

Intricate patterns began to emerge across Akimichi Chodai's enormous body. Around his eyes, blue camouflage-like markings appeared, encircling his eye sockets.

Super Push Palm!

After standing upright, Chodai wasted no time launching his next attack. He extended his hands forward, palms open, and chakra swirling around them. With a sweeping motion, he unleashed an overwhelming force.

The sheer pressure of the attack caused fierce winds to roar past on either side.

The sight of his colossal palms barreling toward them in such a powerful manner threw the Iwagakure forces into chaos as they scrambled to dodge.

The defense of the Earth Flow Fortress crumbled under the force of the Super Push Palm, disintegrating like a brittle earthen wall struck by a giant.

Some Iwagakure shinobi who failed to evade were crushed into pulp upon contact with his palms.

Others launched Earth Release techniques at Chodai's arms in desperation while dodging. Yet, his flesh seemed as impenetrable as steel, rendering most attacks ineffective.

A barrage of Earth Release jutsu struck his advancing arms, yet barely scratched his skin. The few attacks that did manage to injure him left wounds that seemed trivial given his massive size—like a giant nicked by a blade.

What was more terrifying—and sent shivers down the spines of the Iwagakure shinobi—was the sight of those wounds healing at a visible rate, restoring him to full strength almost instantly.

This astonishing defense and rapid regeneration in the heat of battle reminded some Iwagakure shinobi of a figure burned into their memories.

The Third Raikage!
