Chinya brought Kakashi to meet Jiraiya.

This time, Jiraiya had come alone to the Land of Grass—Minato Namikaze wasn't with him.

"Jiraiya-sama," Chinya greeted, "We've come here to support the Land of Grass."

Jiraiya saw Chinya smile. Although they hadn't interacted much, Jiraiya had personally witnessed Chinya's capabilities during the mission in the Land of Hot Water.
