Chapter 100: Chapter 100
Time passed quickly, and soon, it was evening.
After finishing their final patrol round, Uchiha Haruki and his team returned to their temporary base. Once the rotation squad arrived and the handover was complete, they regrouped with the main force and began heading east—back to their headquarters.
With that, their week-long patrol mission officially came to an end.
Including his previous two assignments, this marked Haruki's third completed mission since he returned to the front line more than twenty days ago.
Now, he had nearly a full week of rest ahead.
Well—rest was out of the question. Haruki had far too much to do.
The next morning, Haruki headed straight for the training field located on the northwest side of the camp.
He found a quiet, empty corner and immediately began training in Uchiha-Style Kenjutsu.
Over the past week, during breaks in the patrol mission, he had already pushed Konoha-Style Kenjutsu to Level 5 (0/0)—the peak mastery.
Now, all he had to do was grind Uchiha-Style Kenjutsu to full mastery, and he could attempt to fuse the two.
And that wouldn't take long.
His Uchiha-Style Kenjutsu was already at Level 4 (1985/2000)—just one step away from perfection.
Haruki practiced the style over and over. As his proficiency ticked up with each strike—+1, +1—a growing sense of understanding filled his mind.
That sense of growth, that momentum, was what kept him from getting bored or frustrated, no matter how repetitive the training became.
Time ticked away.
Gradually, Haruki entered a state of complete focus—his mind and body united with the sword, thoughts empty except for Uchiha-Style Kenjutsu.
Hours passed.
Then—just before noon—Haruki completed another flawless sequence. Suddenly, a new wave of insight flooded his mind.
In that moment, he felt it:
"Perfected!"
That thought flashed across his mind, only to be quickly overtaken by another.
The entire essence of Konoha-Style Kenjutsu suddenly surfaced in his consciousness—memories, techniques, philosophy—and began to intertwine with what he'd just achieved.
The two sword styles began to merge, overlapping and weaving together—refining and surpassing each other's limits.
Then, they broke through entirely, transforming into a brand-new style.
This new kenjutsu carried the versatility and adaptability of the Konoha style, blended seamlessly with the Uchiha style's synergy with the Sharingan. It was as if this sword art had been custom-built specifically for him.
No. It was built for him—by him.
His own creation, born from his hands, perfectly suited to his strengths.
Suddenly, Haruki opened his eyes, filled with excitement.
"Menu."
With a thought, his proficiency panel appeared before him in its familiar pale blue glow:
[Name: Uchiha Haruki]

Clone Jutsu / Substitution Jutsu / Transformation Jutsu: Lv3 (0/0)
Body Flicker Technique: Lv4 (0/0)
Ninja Tool Throwing: Lv5 (0/0)
As the panel showed, both "Konoha-Style Kenjutsu" and "Uchiha-Style Kenjutsu" had disappeared—replaced by a single, new skill:
Kenjutsu: Lv5 (1/5000)
And unlike the previous Level 5 cap of (0/0), it could now be trained further. He could once again grind proficiency.
Even more surprising was that the fusion had triggered a breakthrough in his foundational potential. His Physique stat had increased from 9 to 10.
Haruki sat down cross-legged and activated his Chakra Refining Technique, using the moment to process his physical changes and estimate the effects of this breakthrough.
About an hour later, he opened his eyes—and smiled.
The results exceeded expectations.
The first surprise was a jump in his chakra limit.
By his estimate, his chakra capacity had increased by at least 3,000 points.
For comparison: when his Sharingan evolved last time, and his Physique increased by +1 and Spirit by +2, his chakra capacity had only grown by a little over 5,000.
This time, with just a single point in Physique, he gained over 3,000.
That was unusually high.
But after thinking it over, Haruki understood why.
The previous chakra limit increase had been bottlenecked by a mismatch between his core stats.
More specifically, it was the lower Physique that had capped the chakra growth.
Now that Physique had increased, that restriction was lifted, so the chakra gained was naturally more than before.
Previously, when both stats were still low, the imbalance had a minor effect. But as they climbed higher, even a one-point difference would result in huge disparities.
That made one thing clear:
To maintain the most efficient chakra growth, he'd need to balance Physique and Spirit as closely as possible going forward.
Haruki mentally noted this and turned his thoughts to the second surprise: chakra recovery speed.
According to his estimates, with +1 Physique, his daily chakra recovery should increase by roughly 2,000 points.
In other words, his daily usable chakra would rise from 8,000 to 10,000.
He planned to dedicate this extra 2,000 chakra to Shadow Clone Jutsu training.
With no missions for the week, he could keep his chakra at a consistently low level.
That meant Shadow Clone practice wouldn't burn through chakra too quickly, and the 2,000 would be more than enough to gain 10–20 proficiency points.
If all went well, he could reach entry-level mastery of Shadow Clone within a week.
With that decided, Haruki put away his short sword and got to work.
First, he practiced Phoenix Fire Jutsu ten times, spending 850 chakra, and gaining 10 proficiency points.
Then, he repeated the process for Demonic Shackles and Genjutsu: Sharingan, burning a similar amount of chakra for each, netting 10 proficiency points apiece.
His remaining chakra was now just over 5,200.
Haruki used half of that on Reflection of the Heart, then spent the rest training Shadow Clone Jutsu.
Each training session cost a little over 100 chakra and earned +1 proficiency.
After a few rounds, his chakra dropped below 2,000—too low to continue training Shadow Clone.
He switched to Chakra Refining Technique and quickly brought it back above 2,000.
Then he resumed Shadow Clone training.
Like that, his chakra hovered around the 2,000-point mark, while his Shadow Clone proficiency steadily climbed.
