Naruto: My Progress in Konoha.

Chapter 399

You might ask—why is he doing all of this?

The answer was simple. After two full days of in-depth study and reflection, Uchiha Haruki confirmed that just having the Shadow Clone Jutsu at Level 5 was nowhere near enough to help him develop the Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique. And without that foundation, there was absolutely no hope of creating the even more advanced Shadow Sword Technique.

If he wanted to reach that level, the Shadow Clone Jutsu had to be leveled up first.

So, allocating resources toward that goal was a necessity.

There was also the matter of synergy with Wind Release: Wings of Wind.

Previously, Haruki assumed the reason he couldn't generate shadow clones mid-flight with chakra wings was because Wings of Wind wasn't leveled up high enough. But after countless trials, he realized that was only a secondary factor.

The real issue was that his Shadow Clone Jutsu wasn't refined enough. It simply couldn't perfectly replicate the current, complex state of his body.

So, either way, leveling up the Shadow Clone Jutsu was the key to solving both problems.

Now, with 15,000 chakra points invested—and paired with the passive experience gains from training other techniques—he estimated that his Shadow Clone Jutsu would earn about 100 proficiency points per day.

At that pace, he'd be able to level it up in just about 40 days.

Once that happened, both the development of the Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique and its combination with Wings of Wind would be within reach.

But that wasn't all.

With the Shadow Clone Jutsu's level increased, he could start exploring the creation of Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu as well.

Haruki's chakra reserves had now surpassed 100,000 points, more than enough to handle the intense chakra consumption required by Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu.

Although the technique wasn't especially useful to him at the moment, the time would come—sooner than later—when it would dramatically boost his training speed.

And that time?

Haruki raised his gaze toward the direction of Takigakure (Hidden Waterfall Village).

Months ago, he had already made up his mind: Chōmei, the Seven-Tails, would be his top-priority target.

The war was nearly over. Once it concluded, he'd have significantly more freedom of movement.

That would be the time to act.

Once Chōmei was captured, chakra would no longer be a limitation for him—at least in the short term.

That would be the perfect moment to unleash the potential of Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu.

But for now, it was all about preparing for the future.

These thoughts raced through Haruki's mind. He steadied himself, suppressing the restless excitement building inside him, and turned his attention back to the proficiency panel.

He still had 4,000 chakra points left to allocate.

His eyes swept over each skill listed.

In the past month, nearly all of his techniques had improved significantly.

Among them, Wind Release: Rasenshuriken had advanced past Level 6 and was now comfortably sitting at Level 7 (5900/20000).

At this pace, in just a month, it would likely hit Level 8.

Once that happened, he'd be another big step closer to mastering the technique completely.

That growth rate was already impressive enough—there was no need to invest more chakra into it right now.

Then there were Water Release: Water Formation Wall and Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet.

Both had increased by nearly 7,000 proficiency points over the past month. With another half a month of focused training, they'd both reach Level 7.

And Level 7 was roughly the ceiling for these two ninjutsu techniques.

In other words, in less than two weeks, both would be near perfection.

So, they didn't need more chakra either.

Even better—once those two techniques were maxed out, he'd free up another 40,000 chakra points for reallocation.

But that was a problem for later.

Haruki moved his gaze from those two water-style techniques and focused on another one: Water Release: Great Shark Bullet Technique.

This jutsu consumed a lot of chakra per use, so its proficiency had only reached Level 5 (3200/5000).

Once the other two water techniques were maxed out, Haruki planned to devote more chakra to pushing this one further.

But as for now?

He'd leave it be.

His eyes continued downward, skipping over Shadow Clone Jutsu and Chakra Absorption Technique, landing on Rasengan.

After a full month of dedicated practice, his Rasengan had leveled up to Level 7.

Now, not only could he use it with greater ease and precision, but the chakra he could condense in a single instance had also increased.

In other words: it hit much harder now.

As a side effect, his chakra control proficiency also grew significantly—from Level 5 (3482/5000) to Level 5 (4550/5000)—almost at the threshold of Level 6.

Once that happens, every ninjutsu he casts will be powered by more chakra, increasing the effectiveness of all his techniques.

A full-spectrum enhancement.

Haruki was very excited about that prospect.

Refocusing, he shifted his attention to his three medical ninjutsu techniques: Chakra Scalpel, Mystical Palm, and Fine Illness Extraction Technique.

His Chakra Scalpel, despite not receiving direct chakra investment, had improved dramatically due to real-world use.

After the attack on Hawk's Beak Cliff Outpost, he had used the skill frequently while healing injured Konoha ninja.

As a result, its proficiency had jumped up to nearly halfway through Level 6.

As for Mystical Palm and Fine Illness Extraction, both had also improved more than expected due to that day's medical efforts.

The former, building on a month of consistent training, was now at Level 8, more than halfway through.

The latter had reached Level 5 (4100/5000)—just 900 points shy of the next level.

At this pace, in about two more weeks, it would reach Level 6.

Haruki was fairly satisfied with that progress.

No need to invest extra chakra here either.

Finally, his gaze moved to his two sword techniques: Illusory Sword Style and Instant Blade Technique.

Illusory Sword Style had reached Level 7 long ago, earning a spot on his roster of mastered skills.

Meanwhile, Instant Blade Technique had seen less use recently due to fewer battles and less training time.

Its proficiency had only risen to Level 6 (5500/10000)—still quite a way from Level 7.

Haruki simply accepted the trade-off.

After all, he was just under 5000 points away from mastering it. A bit of grinding would eventually get him there.

Having reviewed everything, Haruki knew there was only one place left to put his remaining 4,000 chakra points:

Earth Release chakra development.

Coincidentally, that had been his plan from the start.

With those 4,000 points and the jutsu scrolls recently delivered by the Uchiha Clan, Haruki felt confident that he'd soon break through the bottleneck and fully unlock his Earth Release affinity.

Once that was done, he planned to learn Earth Release: Hardening Technique, Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall, and Earth Release: Earth Spear.

These would round out some of his existing weaknesses—and give his strength another solid boost.
