Meanwhile, Masaru's figure appeared nearly one hundred meters away. He decided to hide in plain sight. Whether he would attack or retreat would depend on the next few seconds.

Seimei and Sorata also understood that Masaru had slipped away.

Earth Substitution Technique?

Seimei thought for a fraction of a second before turning his clear ocean-blue eyes to the location where Masaru was hiding.

His eyes met Masaru's.

And without saying anything, he unsheathed his ninjato and disappeared with a flash of purple lightning.

Purple lightning arcs snaked around his blade as they also activated the cells of Seimei's whole body, allowing him to move at a speed that most Jonin would have a hard time tracking his movement.

But Seimei quickly twisted his blade-wielding wrist mid-motion, changed his ninjato's direction, and brought the blade down toward Masaru's neck at a 45-degree downward angle.

However, if such an action were enough to bring Masaru down, he wouldn't be as powerful as he is today.

Seeing the crackling, lightning-infused blade aiming at his neck, he reacted quickly.

He pulled his right arm back and brought the sword infused with a huge amount of sharp wind chakra to block Seimei's blade. And block it did.

Sparks and crackling lightning bolts flew in the air, and the wind howled, causing the brown hair of Masaru and the snow-white hair of Seimei to flutter.

At that moment, when both of their blades were locked with each other, a volleyball-sized, glowing, gem-like blue sphere of rotating chakra suddenly appeared in Seimei's left hand.

Witnessing the sudden appearance of a dense, rotating chakra sphere on his opponent's left hand, Masaru was stunned. Soon, his survival instincts kicked in, and countless alarm bells began to ring inside his mind.

On the other side, once the chakra sphere was formed, Seimei wasted no time and immediately thrust his left hand at Masaru's liver.

As soon as Rasengan struck Masaru, multiple spider-web-like cracks suddenly appeared on his body. The cracks slowly spread before the force of the Rasengan ground his body to dust while causing a loud explosion.

"Another Earth Substitution, huh?"

"I don't know about his other skills, but his substitution skill is top-notch," murmured Seimei as he looked toward the new location of Masaru.

However, he didn't pursue him immediately; instead, he let out a smirk.

Meanwhile, Masaru saw Seimei no longer pursuing him and sighed in relief. But his relief was short-lived.

Because several dozen tennis ball-sized, flower-like balls of fire attacked him from bizarre angles.

"Fuck!!"

Masaru cursed under his breath and tried to dodge the incoming barrage of small fireballs.

As he was dodging them, he saw tens of shurikens coming at him, targeting his vitals. The shurikens hit each other mid-air and suddenly changed their trajectories before attacking Masaru from unpredictable angles.

"These bizarre attacks must be from the Uchiha teammate of this white-haired kid," said Masaru before he formed one hand seal and puffed his chest.

Wind Release: Great Breakthrough

He exhaled a powerful gust of wind that forcibly repelled the incoming shurikens and the rest of the fireballs.

But that's not all.

The wind caused the fireballs to burn even brighter. The flame spread around the gusts of wind while scorching the deflected shurikens red.

Soon, the flame as well as the scorching shurikens returned to the direction they came and set a large area on fire that burned fiercely.

If the person who released those fireballs and shuriken still hid there, they would have already been scorched black unless they retreated or repelled the fire with Water Release Ninjutsu.

Right at that moment, Seimei's ocean-blue Tenseigan sparkled with brilliance.

Now, it's time.

Seimei thought, and his purple sparks of lightning began to gather on his feet.

This would be the first time he would use the new no-hand-seal Body Flicker Technique that he had perfected over the last couple of years in combat.

At the same time, Uchiha Sorata appeared on Masaru's left side. In his hand, he was holding his short sword covered in blazing yellow-orange fire. His flaming blade was directed at Masaru's torso, seemingly aiming to slice him in half.

One blade, crackling with deadly lightning bolts, aimed at his neck. Another blade, covered in searing hot flames, tried to bisect him in half.

This battle seemed to be in Seimei and Sorata's pockets.

However, this world of Shinobi was unpredictable, filled with countless unexpected weapons and Jutsu that would always challenge your common sense.

A battle that seemed like an easy win might become troublesome after just one move.

In the battle, as the blades of Seimei and Sorata were approaching Masaru, he suddenly retrieved a giant metallic folding fan from his storage seal.

He quickly opened the fan completely, formed two hand seals, and channeled a large amount of Wind Release chakra to the fan.
