Chapter 29: I Saved a MILF, Drank Her Milk, Now I Want My Reward
Konoha, somewhere in the village.
In Kushina's home.
Kushina, once a whirlwind of energy, now sat quietly, her spirit weighed down with exhaustion and worry... worry for Naruto… and for herself.
She knew what it meant to be a Jinchūriki. She knew the loneliness of it.
What it was like when no one stood behind you, when no one took care of you.
And now, here she was again, back where she started as a child except this time with a baby in her arms.
The irony of fate wasn't lost on her.
Still… she smiled.
Because when she looked at her son Naruto, her only hope in this world, the heaviness in her heart lightened.
Minato was dead. She knew he wasn't coming back.
So she had to get back up. Had to hold strong for herself, and for Naruto.
"Waahh"
"Uwahh"
Naruto's crying snapped her out of her thoughts. She stumbled over herself as she rushed to him, trying to soothe him.
"Hey... hey, Naruto, don't cry… mom's here, okay? Don't cry..."
Her voice was awkward and unsure, but sincere.
When he wouldn't stop, she lifted him up and waved him around like a maniac.
And to her surprise, Naruto stopped crying and looked at her curiously.
"Haha… finally, he stopped crying…"
Kushina let out a sigh of relief, smiling as her heart softened.
Just as the two mother and child were playing, a strange vortex appeared in the room without warning, and a man with a mask stepped out, startling Kushina.
She immediately made hand signs, and several chains appeared behind her.
"Calm down… or did you already forget the one who saved your life?" Obito's deep, calm voice cut through the tension.
Kushina froze.
"You… it's you…"
She remembered.
The mysterious masked man who had saved her life… and Naruto's.
Just as she relaxed slightly, thinking it wasn't an assassin, her face changed again.
"No... What are you doing here?"
Kushina questioned, pulling Naruto tightly into her arms and backing away slightly, cautious.
Obito was amused. He knew her personality both in this life and the anime from his past life.
She wasn't someone easily rattled. So he knew this wasn't fear. This was instinct.
Mother's instinct.
The only reason she was acting this way was because of her precious son.
"Relax. I'm just here to chat… probably."
Obito paused, carefully choosing the word.
"Probably…?" Kushina eyed him with suspicion.
"Well, I'd say it another way... it depends on what you'll say after I'm done talking," Obito said casually, glancing outside.
"Wait... if you're here, you should leave now! The ANBU will alert the Hokage and that bastard Danzo. It would be better if you..."
Kushina suddenly remembered the guards and warned him in a rush.
Although this guy looked shady, he had saved her life after all. She didn't want to repay that with betrayal.
"Hahaha."
Obito chuckled amusedly and glanced at Kushina with a playful look.
"Are you worried about me..? That's so cute of you."
"W-What? C-Cute or something? You can't just say that to me or I'll beat you up!"
Kushina blushed at the sudden compliment, then threatened him, raising her fist
which made Naruto drop down from her arms in surprise.
She panicked, catching him quickly.
Wiping the sweat from her forehead, she grinned after seeing Naruto safe.
Until...
"Hahaha! That was fucking hilarious, I have to say."
This time, Obito sounded genuinely entertained.
"Hmph! Laugh all you want. When the ANBU and the Hokage surround this place, you'll be the one in trouble. Not that I care!" She huffed and stormed off into the room, Naruto still clinging to her.
A moment later, she peeked through the door. Her eyes widened.
The masked man was still calmly sitting there.
"What the hell?! Why haven't you left yet?!"
She marched over, trying to yank him to his feet.
"Why aren't you getting up?! And what's with this strength?!" She pulled and tugged but couldn't move him.
Finally, she gave up.
"Are you done? If so, could you bring me something to eat while we chat?" Obito asked, voice calm as if this was his house.
"Geez... you really are..." Kushina sighed helplessly and stormed to the kitchen, trying to find something edible.
A few minutes later, she returned, red-faced, holding a single glass of milk.
The room went silent.
Then Obito casually remarked,
"That should be the last milk Minato brought, right? Don't waste it."
"...What does that mean, you bastard?"
Kushina didn't quite understand, but her instincts told her that was definitely a messed-up joke.
She huffed, shoved the glass into his hands, and muttered, "Drink it. I've got nothing else right now."
Obito calmly took the glass of milk and actually drank it.
Suddenly, he felt a curious gaze up close, and a faint refreshing scent reached his nose.
The unmistakable smell of a MILF.
He looked up and sure enough, Kushina was staring at his mask… or rather, at how the hell he was drinking through it.
"What? Are you curious or something?"
Obito asked after finishing the glass, teasing her.
"N-No! Not at all! I was just thinking… how did you drink through the mask? Is it some kind of special ninjutsu?"
Kushina waved her hands defensively, backing up as if she didn't care while still sneaking glances.
"You guess." Obito smirked. Not about to give away trade secrets.
"Whatever... hey, wait—why aren't you in trouble yet?" Kushina suddenly remembered and asked, confused. She expected the ANBU to have alerted the Hokage by now.
"You idiot... use your senses and you'd know why." Obito sighed helplessly.
"Who are you calling an idiot?!" Kushina charged forward, fist raised only to pass through him completely.
She blinked, frozen in place.
"It... it really is some kind of ninjutsu, or maybe a Dōjutsu technique!"
She recalled his words and checked with her chakra perception and was instantly dumbfounded.
All the ANBU outside were still in place... but none of them reacted.
"Genjutsu..." She muttered out loud, finally understanding.
"Wow, you finally got it. What a genius,"
Obito clapped slowly, mock-praising her with a smirk.
Kushina lowered her head, her face blushing from shame... if only she had used her head before.
She calmed her breathing and looked towards Naruto's room, where he was still sleeping peacefully despite her blunder.
She sighed in relief, then made her way to the far end of the room, opposite from where Obito sat.
She didn't know why, but whenever she sat near this man, it felt strangely natural. Not the slightest bit of repulsion—which, frankly, was weird even to her.
Of course, she had no idea that this masked man was actually Obito Uchiha.
"I'm here for my repayment," Obito said, breaking the silence, "as I mentioned… before leaving last time."
"Repayment? What do you want?" Kushina asked, taking a steady breath.
She knew there was no such thing as a free lunch in this world. Every gift had a mark of fate behind it.
"If it's forbidden Ninjutsu or sealing Jutsu, I've got plenty of those. And money's no problem either," Kushina said, tone full of confidence like a woman who'd bartered with death and came back to negotiate.
"You can ask for anything," she added, because she genuinely believed she could handle anything.
"Ohhh…? Anything?" Obito's voice dropped low, deep and ominously curious.
"Yes... anything," Kushina nodded confidently, not knowing the guy's obvious evil intentions.
"If so, then..."
Without warning, Obito attacked her, grabbing her and forcing her down onto the sofa while he loomed over her.
Her hands were pinned above her head, strange sealing marks crawling up her body, rendering her chakra completely useless.
