Chapter 27: Flying Thunder God Technique

"Didn't I tell you that that brat developed an A-rank Lightning Release Ninjutsu? Recently, he plans to develop this Ninjutsu further, which requires a good weapon."

"But chakra metal, where is it so easy to find? The Senju clan's previous inventory was all donated to Konoha, and this time, that brat needs quite a lot of chakra metal."

"I asked him what kind of weapon he wanted, and he wanted a sword, so I thought it wouldn't be bad to give him the Sword of the Thunder God since no one else was using it." Tsunade said nonchalantly.

"But that's Tobirama-sensei's personal sword. Is it really alright to just give it away like that?" Hiruzen felt a twinge of pain.

If Tobirama knew his weapon would fall into the hands of an Uchiha, he would probably use Edo Tensei to drag himself out of the Pure Land and then curse them, his unfilial disciples and grand-disciples.

Tsunade, however, shrugged nonchalantly. "What's there to care about? In the end, it's just a sword.

"Actually, it doesn't have that much symbolic meaning."

"Hasn't my grand-uncle's greatest legacy already been inherited by you all? Or rather, you yourselves are his legacy."

"Seeing you all make Konoha flourish and grow, he probably wouldn't have any objections."

Tsunade's words made Hiruzen feel a surge of comfort. He and the others were indeed Tobirama's legacy. It was because of his teacher's sacrifice that they were able to survive.

For all these years, Hiruzen had always wanted to prove that his teacher's choice of him was not wrong, and he had always worked diligently. If one looked closely, he had already started to get white hair.

Now, hearing Tsunade evaluate him like this, Hiruzen naturally felt incredibly gratified.

Tsunade thought for a moment before reminding Hiruzen.

"Anyway, the Sword of the Thunder God is just gathering dust, so why not give it to Kazuki? It can also be a kind of statement from you."

"I've observed Kazuki, he's a very easy-going person. At least if you treat him well, he'll remember it and you don't need to worry about raising an ungrateful person. His mind is also very stable, not like the Uchiha you talk about."

Hiruzen took a puff of his pipe before speaking, "The Sword of the Thunder God is still in the Hokage Office. You didn't take it back then, and it's the Second Hokage's personal sword, so it's not good to just give it to him directly."

"How about this? You have Kazuki write the Chidori into the Scroll of Seals. That way, I can use the Sword of the Thunder God as an incentive."

"Alright."

Tsunade didn't refuse upon hearing this. Chidori itself was completed under her and Mito's guidance. If Hiruzen truly wanted it, he could have just asked them.

This Ninjutsu is practically useless without the Sharingan, and there are only a few powerful Lightning Release Ninja in the village.

In fact, this was tantamount to indirectly giving the Sword of the Thunder God to Kazuki.

"Oh, right, I also want the scroll for the Flying Thunder God Technique." Tsunade said to Hiruzen, as if she had just thought of something.

"Flying Thunder God Technique? Does Kazuki have spatial talent?" Hiruzen immediately frowned.

He hadn't noticed that Kazuki had such talent.

Tobirama had made all of them practice the Flying Thunder God Technique back then, but none of them, who had now grown into Kage-level and elite Jonin powerhouses, managed to learn it.

Hiruzen had originally thought that the Flying Thunder God Technique would be lost, but he didn't expect that Kazuki might be able to learn it.

"Hmm, I discovered it a while ago when I had Kazuki sign the summoning contract. His talent in space-time Ninjutsu is excellent, possibly not inferior to my grand-uncle's." Tsunade said.

Kazuki was simply too smart, and his talent was too outstanding. There wasn't much more she could teach Kazuki now.

Could she ask Kazuki to spend the next few years struggling with Medical Ninjutsu?

If that were truly the case, even Tsunade would have to admit that she was misleading a promising talent.

It would be better to let Kazuki become stronger sooner.

By giving Kazuki the Flying Thunder God Technique, Konoha's most difficult Ninjutsu to learn, surely it would keep him busy for a few years, right?

Once Kazuki became famous, she could proudly tell people that she was the one who taught him.

"Is that so? Then let him try. I also studied the Flying Thunder God Technique back then, but unfortunately, I didn't learn it. Oh, right, Kagami didn't learn it either."

Hiruzen didn't forget to add Kagami, to prove that his own talent was not the issue.

"If Kazuki can learn it, it will be a good thing for the upcoming war."

"However, learning the Flying Thunder God Technique not only requires spatial talent but also excellent reaction ability and powerful eyesight. Otherwise, even if one teleports, it would be suicide."

"Besides that, it also requires a solid foundation in Sealing Jutsu."

"None of these can be accomplished in a short time."

"If what you say is true, why not let him continue studying at the Ninja Academy for a few more years? He can use that time to learn the Flying Thunder God Technique."

"No, that won't be necessary. If that brat continues to stay at the Academy, it would simply be a waste of his talent." Tsunade refused without hesitation.

In her opinion, the Flying Thunder God Technique was merely icing on the cake for Kazuki.

Didn't her grandfather and Madara also not have the Flying Thunder God Technique?

Didn't they still become peerless powerhouses?

Her grandmother also didn't know the Flying Thunder God Technique, but didn't she become the strongest person in the Ninja World today?

Her teacher, Hiruzen, didn't learn the Flying Thunder God Technique, but wasn't he still one of the Five Kage, waving his big stick and defeating the Third Kazekage back then?

"Alright, since you think so, give him the Flying Thunder God Technique."

"Remember to tell him that the Flying Thunder God Technique is very dangerous, and not to try it recklessly without full confidence."

Hiruzen pondered for a long time before agreeing to Tsunade's request.

Hiruzen was already feeling immense pressure.

Konoha was very likely to face a one-on-many situation, so where would he have time to worry about what to do after Kazuki grew up?

He wished Kazuki would become stronger and stronger.

"Okay. I'll take the Sword of the Thunder God too. I'll have Kazuki submit a copy of Chidori later." Tsunade stood up, waved her hand, and walked out.

Looking at the closed door, Hiruzen sighed softly.

A Great Ninja War could erupt at any time, and all he could do was delay it as much as possible, giving the new generation time to grow and for the Wood Release experiments.

Konoha was not without trump cards.

The destruction of Uzushiogakure might have contained an element of testing Mito. If they really came knocking, Mito could definitely make those people suffer. But that should be the last resort.

As a junior, Hiruzen did not wish for such a thing to happen.

How wonderful it would have been if the First Hokage had unified the Ninja World back then!
