Chapter 184: Bench Pressing a Mountain and Doing the Mizukage ( R-18 )

When Guts effortlessly lifted a mountain one easily several times the size of the Three Tails everyone in the area froze in disbelief.

Beside Suigetsu, Chōjūrō and the other Mist Shinobi stood wide-eyed, their mouths agape.

"W-What the hell…!?"

"My god… is he even human?!"

"How strong is this guy?!"

Even if it wasn't the same scale as Uchiha Madara's Tengai Shinsei meteor drop, this was damn close. Close enough to make anyone question reality.

And then

Guts's voice echoed, calmly transmitted through chakra to the two Akatsuki members still soaring in the skies above.

"If you survive this, maybe I'll let you go."

Deidara and Sasori, who had just begun to feel a shred of relief after the meteor barrage stopped, stiffened.

They turned.

And saw it.

Their blood ran cold.

"W-What the hell is that, Master Sasori!?"

"…A mountain," Sasori muttered, struggling to keep his usual detached tone. Even he sounded shaken.

The massive peak—trees, soil, rocks, roots and all filled the sky, blotting out the light, falling directly toward them like a divine punishment.

It wasn't something you could dodge.

It wasn't something you could block.

It was the end.

"This isn't something we can stop—or survive!"

Sasori's eyes narrowed. "Deidara—jump!"

"W-What?! We're a thousand meters up—!"

"Jump!!"

They didn't have time to argue.

In sync, the two Akatsuki members leapt from their clay bird and plummeted.

Ten seconds later

BOOOOOM!!!!

The mountain collided with the sea.

A shockwave exploded outward, shaking the heavens and sending towering waves across the coastline.

The mountain disappeared into the ocean depths, never to be seen again.

Up on the lake, Suigetsu and the Mist Shinobi were still frozen, unable to process what they had just witnessed.

A full minute passed in stunned silence.

Then

Suigetsu finally blinked and whispered, "…You think… they're still alive?"

"Th-They can't be," Chōjūrō stammered, clutching his sword. "No human could survive that."

Suigetsu gave a dry, rattling laugh. "You're asking the wrong question. The real one is—can anyone else even pull off an attack like that?"

Guts exhaled and stretched his arms lazily, gaze fixed on the horizon.

Too far to confirm anything visually. The sea swallowed the mountain entirely. But…

No system notification.

Which meant one thing:

They weren't dead yet.

"Tch… tough bastards."

He cracked his neck and turned to the others.

"Set up an ambush. They'll be wounded at least. If they're not dead, don't let them crawl away."

"Yessir!"

The Mist Shinobi quickly mobilized. Those not guarding the Three Tails launched into pursuit.

Guts stayed put.

Chasing people wasn't his thing.

Even if they were both Kage-level and worth loads of progress points—he had no interest in playing hide and seek. That's what subordinates were for.

---

The door creaked open.

Mei didn't bother turning around. She already knew it was him. No one else had the balls to show up unannounced at this hour and live.

She stood in the middle of her dimly lit room, nightdress barely clinging to her curves, one strap already slipping off her smooth shoulder.

"You kept me waiting," she said softly, voice laced with heat.

The door slammed shut.

At least 2 Hour Later...

---

The sheets were a mess. The air was still thick with heat and sweat. Terumi Mei lay sprawled beside Guts, her bare back glistening under the fading candlelight.

Her hair clung to her shoulders while she tried to pretend her breath wasn't still catching every now and then.

Guts, meanwhile, had one leg out, arms behind his head, grinning like he'd just bench-pressed a mountain and fucked the Mizukage in the same afternoon.

Guts casually mentioned something about a contract a weird one tied to his bloodline, he said.

Supposedly, if someone signed it willingly, it could keep them young for decades, maybe longer. Mei raised an eyebrow at first, a bit skeptical, but not overly dramatic.

He didn't bother explaining much, just muttered something about a strange Kekkei Genkai he probably had, and honestly, with how absurdly strong Guts was now, people had stopped questioning him.

Mei didn't argue. Lately, she'd been having stupid little moments — illusions in the mirror, a trick of the light making her think she'd aged overnight. Nothing real, but enough to bother her more than she liked to admit.

So she signed it. Quietly, without a fuss. And when nothing exploded or something like a prank happened, she just let out a breath and relaxed a little deeper into his arms, feeling... lighter.

The next morning…

Guts was finally enjoying some well-earned rest wrapped up in Terumi Mei's arms when a letter arrived from Konoha.

The message contained two updates.

First, the death of Chiriku, one of the Twelve Guardian Ninja of the Land of Fire.

Cause of death: Akatsuki members Kakuzu and Hidan.

In response, Anko had taken command of Team 10 and coordinated with Hinata and Hanabi to hunt them down.

Thanks to prior knowledge of their abilities, their chances were strong.

Hidan's immortality had a glaring weakness once exposed. Kakuzu, though troublesome with his multiple hearts, could be taken down with teamwork and preparation.

Guts skimmed that section, nodded, then paused.

Second, and far more important

The Six Tails Jinchūriki had finally been spotted.

After years of wandering, he'd been tracked to the Land of Tea.

Guts didn't waste a second.

He got dressed and grabbed his gear.

"You're leaving?"

Terumi Mei stood near the bed, arms crossed but eyes soft. There was a tenderness in her gaze, a quiet longing she didn't try to hide.

"Yeah," Guts said, pulling her close and kissing her lips then her forehead, just to make her blush.

"It's not like we won't see each other again," he added, grinning. "Besides, that forever I promised you? It's not far off."

As he turned away, he casually slapped her ass.

Smack!

"Eek—!"

Terumi Mei reflexively raised her ass, then turned and glared, cheeks red. "Y-You jerk!"

She swatted his chest a few times, flustered. "Alright, enough already! Just go! I'm sleepy!"

She flopped back into the sheets and faced the wall, clearly sulking.

Guts just smiled.

He gave her one last look before stepping outside.

The house grew quiet again.

Terumi Mei rolled over once she knew he was gone.

She stared at the empty doorway.

Then sighed quietly.

"I hope… that day you mentioned comes true soon."
