Chapter 291: Chapter 289 : Uesugi Erii!!

The next day, morning.

At the Peninsula Hotel where they were staying, a delicate breakfast had been prepared in advance.

After having breakfast, Caesar slapped his thigh and decided to take a day off. Since they had come all the way to Japan, he figured they should fully experience it.

Chu Zihang wasn't surprised by this decision. As the saying goes, "When the upper beam is not straight, the lower beams will be crooked."

The principal of Cassell College spends millions of dollars every year on personal enjoyment, so naturally, the students follow his example and try to make the most of their time.

Besides, the mission itself was not urgent, so there was no rush. Whether it was investigating the "Dragon Blood Gene Serum" or looking into the sunken icebreaker in the Japan Trench, neither could be solved quickly.

"Alright, it's settled!" Caesar, as the team leader, made the final call. "We'll take a break these two days. Today, everyone can handle their personal matters. Tomorrow and the day after, I'll arrange everything and make sure everyone gets to experience the best of Japan!"

"Perfect, I'll go buy some cosmetics for my mom." Chu Zihang said with a neutral expression.

To him, aside from the mission, this was the most important thing about coming to Japan, and he also planned to buy some souvenirs to bring back.

"I can recommend a few brands." Caesar, coming from a European noble family, had extensive knowledge of luxury items. He confidently patted his chest and said, "I guarantee your mom will love them. Trust me, Caesar's taste is impeccable."

Chu Zihang nodded in agreement. "Alright."

"And you?"

Caesar turned to Adam. He always felt that Adam didn't quite fit in with the group.

On the surface, Adam always appeared gentle and often smiled, but in reality, he kept everyone at arm's length.

"I'll just wander around," Adam said, adjusting his glasses with a smile. "I heard Akihabara is nice, so I'm planning to check it out."

At this, both Chu Zihang and Caesar were a bit surprised, especially Caesar, who was stunned. "I didn't expect you to like anime?"

"Not exactly," Adam shrugged and said in a helpless tone, "It's mainly because my roommate begged me to bring back some figurines."

"Oh, now it makes sense."

Caesar nodded in understanding and said, "Well then, let's all get going."

Suddenly, Sakura hurriedly pushed open the door and walked in to report, "Young Master, the head of the Uesugi family has run away again."

Gen Chisei raised an eyebrow. Although he was a bit surprised, he remained calm and continued working, asking as he went: "She couldn't have gone too far, right?"

"Uh..."

Sakura rarely stayed silent, which made her hesitation noticeable.

The sound of the pen stopped abruptly, leaving a small ink stain on the document. Gen Chisei slowly raised his head and looked at his assistant. He raised an eyebrow and asked, "She didn't go too far again, did she?"

In the past, Erii had been very sensible. She never went too far, usually just wandering around a few nearby intersections, watching the crowds and the busy traffic. That was enough to soothe her lonely heart. But lately, things have changed.

Erii was no longer satisfied with just staying nearby. She had started to try venturing further, as though something was pulling her.

"This time... the head of the Uesugi family went to Akihabara," Sakura said honestly. She knew the Young Master would be troubled again.

Sure enough, when Gen Chisei heard that Erii had gone to Akihabara, his forehead tensed, and his eyelids twitched. "How could she go to that kind of place? Did you send anyone to follow her?"

"No," Sakura replied. "You've told us not to have anyone follow the head of the Uesugi family." Then she added, "But there are street cameras along the way, and the emergency response team is on standby. Do you want us to send them?"

"I'm afraid some idiot might scare her," Gen Chisei muttered, rubbing his forehead. He wasn't worried about Erii getting hurt—he was more concerned about someone provoking her.

He was somewhat aware of Japan's strange and twisted people, especially considering how Erii looked—she would attract perverts more easily.

Not to mention, Akihabara wasn't exactly the safest place. If a pervert bumped into her, and Erii lost control, things could get out of hand.

"Tell me her location."

The more he thought about it, the more likely it seemed, so Gen Chisei couldn't sit still. He spoke up, "I'll go pick her up."

The reason he was going personally was that, with Erii's stubborn personality, she might not be willing to come back with anyone else. It was better if he went himself.

Meanwhile, in another part of Akihabara…

Adam, who was wandering around, saw a group of people surrounding a young girl who seemed to be cosplaying.

Her deep red hair cascaded down to her waist, and she wore a shrine maiden outfit that looked straight out of an anime. Her delicate, soft skin was as white as a baby's, and her tall, well-developed figure stood still, exuding an ethereal and quiet beauty. She seemed like a woman who had stepped out of an ancient painting, radiant and enchanting.

But in that very moment when Adam saw her, the girl seemed to sense something and looked back.

Her deep crimson eyes were as clear as glass, yet they lacked a trace of humanity, leaving them cold and empty.

The slightly curly golden hair, the face of a typical European, with deep and defined features that seemed as perfect as a Greek statue.

His light golden eyes were clear and transparent, like an ocean holding a quiet calm.

Despite it being their first meeting, the young girl felt a strange sense of familiarity, as if they had known each other for a long time.

Almost as if drawn by some unknown force, the girl took gentle steps through the crowd, moving toward the golden-haired young man.

The closer she got, the stronger the mysterious flutter in her heart became.

Finally, after crossing the street, she stood in front of him. Her long lashes fluttered as she blinked, her eyes clear like glass. She took out a notebook and shyly held it up with a few words written on it: "Hello, do we know each other?"

"No, but we can start getting to know each other now," he said with a warm, gentle smile, pushing up his glasses. "Hello, my name is Adam Angelwid. Beautiful girl, may I ask your name?"

The girl froze, her wide eyes filled with surprise.

Wasn't that the name she'd heard in her dreams before?

Her originally clear, glass-like eyes, once void of emotion, now seemed to shine brightly, as if a beautiful color had been added to a grey painting, revealing its true beauty.

A soft breeze blew from the street corner, and her wine-red hair fluttered gently. The girl's eyes sparkled with joy, a smile spreading across her face.

Her delicate features reflected her inner happiness, as if she had finally met someone she had longed for. She wrote another line in her notebook:

"My name is Erii Uesugi."
