NARUTO: START WITH THE MANGEKYO SHARINGAN

Chapter 2: CHAPTER 2

Outer Konoha, Uchiha Clan Settlement.

Uchiha Yue, having just returned to his ancestral home, carefully retrieved a sealed scroll from his robe. As he opened it, he felt a surge of chakra that radiated a distinctly negative, violent aura. A satisfied smirk curled on his lips.

This scroll was the culmination of his efforts over the past two months—a crucial step toward unlocking his Mangekyō Sharingan. It was also the source of his growing confidence in his ability to achieve the next stage in his Sharingan's evolution.

The truth behind the Sharingan's power was rooted in intense emotional trauma, particularly those stemming from deep personal loss. Yue understood that unlocking the Mangekyō Sharingan required more than just raw skill; it demanded a significant emotional upheaval. So long as one's foundation was strong and their talent sufficient, awakening the Sharingan was almost inevitable. However, advancing to the Mangekyō would only occur when the individual's emotions reached their breaking point.

At present, Uchiha Yue had already unlocked the Three Tomoe Sharingan. After three months of rigorous training, he had fully mastered its power. His abilities had grown substantially, and his physical and mental conditioning had been greatly improved in the process. Now, it was time for him to face the ultimate test: to harness the power of the Mangekyō Sharingan.

Even though Uchiha Yue is still somewhat hesitant, if he continues to cultivate and refine his abilities, there's still significant room for growth. With the potential and circumstances he has shown, it's not entirely impossible for him to unlock the Mangekyō Sharingan.

At the very least, had he possessed his current basic conditions three months ago, he might have been able to bypass the bottleneck between the Sharingan and Mangekyō Sharingan, advancing smoothly.

Now that the most fundamental requirements are met, the remaining factor is the release of strong enough emotions—especially those of extreme nature.

Of course, much like the special situation that occurred three months ago, it was a one-time occurrence. Now that Uchiha Yue has calmed down and come to terms with reality, it's highly unlikely that such an intense emotional outburst will happen again.

However, despite losing that unique opportunity, as a traveler, he isn't the type to be halted by something as trivial as this.

So, after about a month of rigorous research, he discovered a method to refine and store Chakra filled with negative emotions in advance. By accumulating intense emotions and then absorbing and unleashing them at once, he could deliberately enter an extreme emotional state.

This technique is reminiscent of Tsunade's Byakugo no In (Hundred Healings Seal). By sealing Chakra in advance on his forehead and releasing the seal during battle, Tsunade can instantly access a massive amount of Chakra, unleashing terrifying combat power. Uchiha Yue adapted this concept to suit his own needs, using it to trigger the emotional state necessary for achieving Mangekyō Sharingan.

Uchiha Yue devised a method to extract and store his negative emotions within Chakra in advance, sealing them with a specialized Fūinjutsu. Once released, this stored Chakra would erupt all at once, amplifying its effects.

The versatility of Chakra made this process relatively simple. Since Chakra itself is a fusion of spiritual and physical energy, carrying and preserving negative emotions was not difficult. In fact, this principle was akin to how the Uchiha clan's Sharingan could absorb emotional turmoil to enhance its power. Moreover, the technique bore similarities to how Chakra could be molded to store consciousness, as seen with techniques like the Shadow Clone Jutsu, where a fraction of the user's will was embedded into a duplicate.

Having successfully extracted the negative emotions within Chakra, sealing them was the next logical step. Unlike traditional seals placed on the body—such as Tsunade's Strength of a Hundred Seal—Yue opted for an external storage method, akin to a Chakra storage scroll. This removed the burden from his own body while allowing him to amass a vast reservoir of negativity over time.

Now, after two months of deliberately exposing himself to the scorn and hatred of the villagers, his accumulated negative Chakra had reached an astonishing level—dozens, if not hundreds, of times greater than his own natural reserves. The sheer scale of the emotions trapped within this Chakra had become so overwhelming that even Yue himself could no longer quantify its magnitude.

But now, after two months, he had even started visiting the village every day, enduring the malice of those ignorant villagers. Each encounter only deepened his resentment, allowing his negative emotions to fester and grow.

The negative chakra he had accumulated had now reached an astonishing level—dozens, perhaps even hundreds of times greater than his own natural reserves.

And with such an immense volume of chakra, tainted by overwhelming hatred and despair, even he found it difficult to fully comprehend its depths.

"Once I absorb it all, I will undoubtedly enter an unprecedented state of negative emotions. If my theory is correct, opening the Mangekyō Sharingan will be inevitable."

"Well, there's no need to delay any further. After recovering from today's chakra expenditure, I'll adjust my state and begin the process tonight. The first step—awakening my Mangekyō Sharingan."

"Otherwise, I'll keep replaying the night of the massacre over and over in my mind... That night when Uchiha Itachi, that so-called 'filial son,' destroyed everything. If this goes on, I might actually lose my mind before I even achieve my goal."

Carefully securing the chakra-sealed scroll close to his body, Uchiha Yue collected his thoughts and made his way to the kitchen.

Apparently, he planned to eat before resting.

Boom!

At this moment, in Uchiha Yue's perception, his consciousness seemed to plunge into a stormy sea—waves of overwhelming negative emotions crashed over him, threatening to drown his reason completely.

These emotions weren't foreign; they were his own, accumulated bit by bit over time, now erupting all at once. And as they surged, his consciousness instinctively resonated with them, feeding the cycle and generating even more negativity.

Yet, despite the suffocating tide, Yue's will remained unbroken.

He had faced despair before—felt the suffocating weight of hopelessness—and he had clawed his way out through sheer determination. This moment was no different. He refused to let go now, not when he stood on the precipice of transformation, not when the power he longed for was within reach.

The desire to live, the thirst for strength, and the unwavering pursuit of his future anchored him. Even as darkness threatened to consume him, he clung to that last thread of clarity, refusing to be lost.

Time became meaningless as the struggle raged within him. Then, suddenly—

A surge of ominous chakra burst forth from his body, dark and cold, laced with an unshakable malice. His face twisted in agony, his breath ragged, as his Sharingan spun wildly. The three tomoe within his scarlet eyes rotated faster and faster—until, at last, they merged, warping into an entirely new pattern.

In that instant—Mangekyō Sharingan was born.

A wave of clarity washed over Yue. The chaos of emotions that had once threatened to consume him now felt distant, insignificant. He could feel it—the immense surge of power coursing through his eyes, far surpassing anything his previous Sharingan could wield.

"So this is… Mangekyō Sharingan," Yue muttered to himself, his gaze piercing through the darkness of the room. He could sense the potent dōjutsu within him, its secrets whispering to his mind. His lips curled into a faint smile, a mixture of relief and elation.

He had done it.

He had seized his future.
