Chapter 101: Chapter 101: Formation!
Chapter 101: Formation!
A massive wooden dragon roared as it lunged toward Ōtsutsuki Toneri.
Seeing this, Toneri let out an angry roar. "Even the dead from the Pure Land dare to stand in my way!"
A brilliant yellow beam of chakra, infused with the power of the Tenseigan, shot forth, slicing the wooden dragon in two.
Boom! The severed halves of the wooden dragon crashed to the ground with a thunderous impact.
Toneri's appearance was now disheveled—his head bore a large bump from being struck by the stone monument, and his once-neat blue-white hair was in wild disarray.
Had it not been for his current sorry state, he might still look like a figure straight out of legend.
---
Hashirama Senju paused for a moment, surprised by what he had just witnessed.
Although the wooden dragon he summoned wasn't at its full strength, the ease with which it was destroyed still caught him off guard.
Kagami's shadow clone glanced over and offered advice:
"Add a bit of Sage Chakra. These beings have a natural resistance to ninjutsu."
Toneri's Tenseigan glowed with a radiant yellow hue as he infused himself with chakra. Ignoring Hashirama, his gaze locked onto Kagami's shadow clone.
"The fallen descendant of the Sage of Six Paths…"
Boom!
Before Toneri could finish his sentence, a massive red torii gate descended from the sky, slamming him to the ground.
Sage Art: Gate of the Great God!
Hashirama, now surrounded by the telltale black markings of Sage Mode, summoned another wooden dragon to join the fray.
"Ahahaha! It seems that worked quite well!"
---
Kagami's shadow clone looked down, his expression calm.
Right now, Hashirama was more than enough to handle Toneri.
Toneri's power came primarily from the giant Tenseigan, and he was far weaker than the Ōtsutsuki Toneri from the original timeline.
"Then I'll leave this to you," the shadow clone said. "First Hokage."
Hearing Kagami address him with that title, Hashirama felt a surge of pride.
Even though his brother, Tobirama, harbored deep prejudice against the Uchiha, this young man clearly acknowledged him.
"Alright, leave it to me!"
With numerous Gates of the Great God descending and massive trees sprouting across the battlefield, the terrain itself transformed in an instant.
For most shinobi, having an infinite supply of chakra as an Edo Tensei body was an enhancement. For someone like Hashirama, it was actually a downgrade—his natural chakra reserves were already seemingly endless.
---
As Hashirama kept Toneri fully occupied, Kagami's shadow clone recalled the Six Paths Stone Monument into the black sphere domain.
Initially, the monument had been left outside to counteract Toneri's power.
But now, with Hashirama acting as a formidable distraction, Kagami could focus all his attention on dealing with Isshiki Ōtsutsuki.
If Hashirama had arrived alongside Tobirama and the others, Kagami would have regarded him as an enemy.
But since Hashirama had come alone...
No one understood the Uchiha better than the Senju. Conversely, no one understood the Senju better than the Uchiha.
Kagami knew that once Hashirama agreed to help, he would not betray him mid-battle.
The "Founder's Monument" project Kagami had initiated didn't just hit Madara's sore spot—it also struck at the core of Hashirama's ideals.
The shadow clone chuckled softly before dissolving itself.
---
Now, all that remained was to dismantle Isshiki Ōtsutsuki piece by piece.
---
Inside the Hell of Yomi.
The Armored Moguro absorbed blows from Isshiki as Kagami darted between the black towers, playing a game of guerrilla warfare.
As long as Moguro wasn't destroyed outright, it could continue to fight.
If this had been Moguro's first appearance, Isshiki could have obliterated it with a single strike.
Fortunately, after undergoing rigorous training against Kurama, Moguro had significantly improved its resistance to chakra-based attacks.
Its ability to regenerate and adapt meant that unless it was killed instantly, it would eventually counteract Isshiki's attacks.
Even so, Kagami didn't give Moguro much of a chance to test its limits—he constantly disrupted Isshiki's rhythm, preventing him from delivering a decisive blow.
---
The shadow clone's memories flowed back to Kagami's mind.
Upon processing them, Kagami smirked.
Hashirama Senju—what an unexpected ally.
---
Isshiki quickly realized Moguro's unique traits. His usual techniques were becoming less and less effective, but whenever he tried to unleash a stronger attack to finish it off, Kagami would intervene.
Such a frustratingly vile strategy!
The chakra reserves in Isshiki's current body were not unlimited. He had already expended far too much energy just trying to decipher Kagami's tactics.
Meanwhile, Kagami seemed to know his every move, countering him with precision at every turn.
If they had faced off with no prior knowledge, Isshiki was confident he could crush Kagami in three minutes flat.
But reality was never so simple.
---
"I wanted to take your body under more controlled conditions..."
Isshiki's expression darkened with determination.
When Kagami had disrupted the marking process for the Kāma, Isshiki decided to weaken him first before making another attempt.
But now…
It was time for a decisive action.
Boom!!
A terrifying wave of chakra erupted, sending Moguro flying.
Black rods poured from Isshiki's body like a torrential downpour, completely disregarding the cost in chakra.
Smoke billowed from Isshiki's form as more black patterns spread across his body.
It was as though his current shell, Jigen, was about to crack open.
Something utterly horrifying was emerging.
Kagami's slashes, which had been effective moments ago, were now blown back by Isshiki's sheer aura.
The transition took but an instant—yet it felt like an eternity.
---
Snap—
Two hands tore through the last remnants of Jigen's shell.
Boom!
The oppressive pressure engulfed the entire domain. The hellish atmosphere trembled under the force of an unimaginably powerful presence.
A figure emerged, stepping over Jigen's shattered husk.
Pale skin, gray-white hair, and a single, crown-like horn protruding from his head—this was the full form of Isshiki Ōtsutsuki.
One eye bore a black-and-gold concentric pattern—the Black Eye—while the other was a pure Byakugan.
His attire was elegant yet ominous: a long white coat with black trim, loose-fitting black trousers, and bare feet.
---
The very air seemed to recoil from his presence.
---
"Allow me to reintroduce myself."
Isshiki's cold, emotionless gaze locked onto Kagami.
"I am Isshiki Ōtsutsuki."
"And now, you will surrender your body to me, Uchiha Kagami."
"With your vessel, I will achieve perfect resurrection and ascend to a level rivaling that of the greatest beings in existence."
"I will become a true god."
---
Boom!!!
Tangible waves of chakra surged like a tsunami, drowning the domain in chaos.
Isshiki's current body couldn't sustain him for long, but even a few days were enough.
His perfect vessel stood right before him.
---
Swoosh—
Not even Kagami's Mangekyō Sharingan could keep up with Isshiki's speed.
Overwhelming power.
Overwhelming speed.
In mere seconds, Kagami's body was riddled with wounds. His regeneration couldn't keep pace.
---
Thud—
A knee struck Kagami square in the chest, sending him reeling.
Isshiki's hand clamped around his throat as black Kāma marks began spreading across Kagami's body.
Looking down at him, Isshiki sneered:
"You were wrong about one thing."
"I am not like Kaguya or those other failures. I seek true evolution."
"Be proud, Uchiha Kagami. Your body will be the vessel for a god."
---
---
"Ha…"
A weak chuckle escaped Kagami's lips.
An ominous feeling crept into Isshiki's mind.
As their eyes met, he saw it—a pair of crimson Mangekyō Sharingan, gleaming with malice.
Snap!
Kagami's hands clamped onto Isshiki's wrist, seemingly in a futile struggle.
---
In hunting a powerful beast, what's most important?
The answer: a single, decisive strike.
Because no hunter can withstand the fury of a dying predator.
---
As the Kāma marks etched themselves onto Kagami, a dark-red pattern began crawling from his hands onto Isshiki.
Soft laughter echoed, followed by a low murmur:
---
"Become a part of me…"
"Ōtsutsuki Isshiki."
---
Boom!!!
The entire domain ignited in black-red flames.
The Six Paths Stone Monument shot out of the shadows, slamming into both of their bodies.
---
Thud!!
