Naruto: Uchiha's Bizarre Adventure

Chapter 87: Chapter 87 Just Bored

Kadoya frowned as he examined the long white katana in his hand. Forged from a refined mix of iron and charcoal to create quality steel, the blade gleamed faintly in the daylight.

Thanks to the skill [Master Smithy], crafting this sword felt as natural as breathing, like he'd been a seasoned blacksmith for decades. The final result was excellent, nearly rivaling Sakumo Hatake's famed White Light Blade.

If he'd used chakra metal instead of ordinary steel, the weapon would've easily surpassed it.

"…This is more annoying than I expected," he muttered, walking out of his newly-built forge, well, more like a new room in his new house, on the outskirts of the village.

After the Uchiha Clan took over guard duty for the Land of Fire's Daimyo, the village's funds were quietly rerouted to bolster the Uchiha Guard. With that financial leverage, they began expanding their presence and purchasing more land within Konoha.

Naturally, Kadoya claimed a property on the outer edge of the growing Uchiha district. Not for privacy or strategic reasons, he just liked the quiet corners. He'd always lived at the edge of the clan land, and it felt strange to break the habit now.

With the Clan Land expanding, his home which used to be in the corner of the clan land

Inside, he placed the white katana blade carefully onto a custom stand. Not for combat use. Just as a decoration.

He stared at it for a moment, his mind drifting.

He remembered how hard it was to learn Fūinjutsu. Even after mastering all the traditional Uzumaki seals, creating a technique of his own took countless failures. But when he finally succeeded, that hard-earned sense of accomplishment had meant something.

The [Master Smithy] skill from his system gave him instant proficiency. He could craft weapons, armor, tools, whatever he wanted. With little to no effort, and that's what made it feel hollow.

It was the same with his strength.

At first, he trained day and night with his Shadow Clones, pushing his limits in preparation for war. Now, his strength had grown to the point where only true monsters, Kage-level fighters, could offer him a proper challenge.

He stopped bothering with taijutsu training entirely. Only ninjutsu drills remained, and even those were left to his clones.

His kenjutsu had also reached a frustrating plateau. No sparring partner could match him anymore. No one could make him sweat.

And without worthy opponents, the dance wasn't fun anymore.

"I guess the saying was true… To really live life, you need problems," Kadoya murmured, pulling out a long strip of white cloth marked with black sealing runes. He tied it around his head, covering his eyes. "There. Perfect."

"To live life, you need problems…? Really?" a familiar voice echoed softly from behind.

He couldn't see her, but the tone alone gave her away.

"Naori," he said simply.

Without turning toward her, he answered, "If you get everything you want the moment you want it… then what's the point of living?"

There was a pause, thoughtful and quiet.

"…You do have a point," Naori admitted at last, her voice distant with reflection. She remembered the trials that shaped her, the pain, the sacrifice… and the quiet pride in overcoming them. Even though she eventually went blind, and her story ended far too early, she never regretted living through the hardship. It had made her who she was.

"I'm glad we can agree on somet-" Thud.

Kadoya walked directly into the wall.

Naori couldn't help it. She chuckled softly.

...

Erza: "…"

Erza stared at Kadoya for a long moment before finally speaking.

"Are you alright?" she asked, eyeing him suspiciously, sitting cross-legged, arms folded, a white bandage covering his eyes like some kind of self-imposed monk cosplay.

"I'm perfectly fine," he replied coolly, without even facing her.

Erza blinked. Then shook her head. Trying to make sense of him was like trying to wrestle logic into a whirlwind. Her gaze shifted to the overworked Shadow Clones scribbling furiously in the background.

From what Kushina had told her, the Shadow Clone Jutsu returns all accumulated memories to the original when dispelled. But somehow, Kadoya could manage dozens of them without even breaking a sweat. How is he not affected by the backlash? Only he knew.

Erza decided not to pursue that mystery. She had her own.

"Well, I actually came here with a question."

She straightened her posture, suddenly serious.

"I've been reading up on this world… about chakra. I want to know if I can learn to use it."

Because of her current shrunken form, around ten or eleven years old, Erza couldn't summon her full arsenal of weapons or power. And this world lacked magical energy altogether. If she ran out, there was nothing to refill it.

So she began studying the local power system. Chakra, born from the mix of spiritual and physical energy, seemed to be this world's fuel for power. But no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't connect to it.

Kadoya paused.

Ah, right. She wasn't from this world. Chakra here originated from Kaguya after she devoured the Chakra Fruit. Then Hagoromo and Hamura spread it. Hagoromo believed spreading chakra would create peace.

Yeah. That turned out well.

"Hmm... let me think," Kadoya muttered. He didn't want to crush her hopes outright. She had no chakra… yet.

"Wait a second."

He activated the LifeTree System, his body freezing in the real world as his mind entered the grassy spiritual realm dominated by a tall, pale tree.

Using [Third Person POV], he examined his surroundings.

The grass looked greener. The tree had grown thicker. A few fruits now dangled from its branches. Still no leaves.

Many souls and bodies he killed were used to nourish this tree.

Approaching, he plucked two fruits. A blue one pulsed with refined chakra. The brown one had the rich, earthy signature of natural chakra.

Smaller fruits hung nearby, but they were too undeveloped to matter.

"Well… looks like I've got Erza a method to use Chakra."

With that, he returned to the real world.

Still blindfolded, Kadoya turned his head toward her. "Simple, Erza."

He held out the two fruits.

"Eat these."

Erza: "…"

She stared. Then stared harder.

"Kadoya. Are you messing with me?"

"Do you want to use chakra or not?" he asked dryly.

Erza glanced down at the fruits. Then back at him. Then back at the fruits.

"…Are they even safe to eat?"

Her voice screamed suspicion. And rightly so. This sounded like the kind of lie a parent tells to get their kid to eat kale.

Still, she didn't sense any ill intent from him. And refusing wasn't exactly an option.

She took a bite of the Earth Chakra Fruit.

Her eyelid twitched.

The taste… was horrific.

But she was a knight. She had her pride. And pride meant enduring the suffering of even the vilest fruit just so that she wouldn't become useless. So she forced down the rest.

"How was it?" Kadoya asked, ever so calm beneath his bandage.

"…Disgusting."

"I see," he nodded wisely, as if taking mental notes for future trauma infliction. "Now eat the other one. Or it won't work."

Time passed.

Eventually, Erza stormed out of the house, wiping her mouth and muttering a few bad words in three different languages.

Moments later, Kadoya emerged with a tatami mat wrapped around his neck like a makeshift noose.

"Tch. Unreasonable woman…" he grumbled, blindly walking forward-

Thunk!

"DAMN IT!"

He face-planted into the doorframe, groaning as he slid down to the floor. Then, like nothing happened, he got back up and casually returned inside.

...

Later that night, at the Naka Shrine…

The Uchiha Clan had gathered for a formal meeting. Elders sat at the table, flanked by Jonin and elite members of the clan. All eyes occasionally flicked toward the entrance, waiting for the arrival of one person.

The shrine doors finally creaked open.

Everyone turned as a lone figure entered, dressed in a simple black kimono over a fishnet shirt and dark pants. His long hair was tied up, and most notably, his eyes were covered in pristine white bandages.

Kadoya Uchiha, Clan Head of both the Uchiha and Uzumaki, had arrived.

He said nothing as he calmly strode forward and took his seat at the head of the table, arms crossed in typical fashion. His presence was quiet, but heavy.

The room was tense.

They had seen him unleash the Susanoo not long ago, an unmistakable sign of the Mangekyou Sharingan. Yet now… he sat before them, blindfolded.

This caused the Uchiha to feel a sense of panic. After so long, the Uchiha had finally gained a Mangekyou user, and possibly the strongest among them, and now it looked like something was wrong with his eyes.

"Kadoya-sama… are your eyes alright?" Setsuna asked, his voice more respectful and cautious than usual.

"Everything is fine," Kadoya replied evenly, activating [Third Person POV] to observe the room. "Let's begin the meeting."

"But Kadoya-sama," another elder interjected, unease lacing his voice. "Your eyes…"

Kadoya: "?"

"I'm fine. There's no need to-"

"Kadoya-sama!" yet another elder cried out, passion burning in his tone. "You don't have to act strong for us! The clan has more than enough wealth now. We'll hire the best medical experts in the Land of Fire to heal your eyes!"

A chorus of agreement followed, the once-silent room now abuzz with worry and insistence, their voices overlapping in an outpouring of concern for their Clan Head.

Kadoya: "…"

He let out a sigh and spoke in his usual deadpan tone.

"…Do you wish to dance?"

The Uchiha: "..."

The room froze.

We're worried sick, and his solution is to beat us up!?

"…My eyes are perfectly fine," Kadoya finally admitted. "I was just bored and decided to bandage them."

There was a beat of silence, and then a collective sigh of relief swept the room.

Just bored.

Apparently, their Clan Head, who is strong and likes to do random stuff, was just bored and isn't in any serious injury.

Once things calmed down, the meeting resumed. The elders began delivering their reports.

The clan's strength had increased substantially, with over 102 Jonin-level shinobi under their command. Various business ventures Kadoya had set up were now under construction.

Thanks to Kadoya for setting them up with the Daimyo.

The Uchiha have become the richest Clan in Konoha.

Their strategy of indifference had created growing unrest among the civilian population.

The Uchiha are doing nothing, and the most direct thing is that low-level thieves are acting with impunity.

According to his arrangement, the Police Force only takes care of big things and ignores small things. However, what big things can happen in Konoha?

After the thieves tested the Uchiha, many of them, more daring, began to rob homes directly when the villagers were away.

At first, it was just petty theft. But the thieves got bold. Some began robbing homes while the owners were away.

Panicked villagers ran to the Police Force, desperate for help.

Following Kadoya's instructions, officers welcomed them politely, asked detailed questions, wrote down reports with a smile… then said:

"Please go home and wait for news."

Smiling all the time.

And then... What more is there to say?

After the second or third time, villagers became furious. Some stormed into Police stations, banging on tables, shouting in frustration, and almost poked Uchiha's nose with their fingers.

The Uchiha still had a good attitude and always had a smile on their face, but the Sharingan appeared in their eyes.

At this moment, the villagers suddenly trembled and realized their mistakes. The people they were blaming were Uchiha. The villagers fled in bewilderment.

The Uchiha were lazy and disinterested; they didn't want to do anything. Only until the owners begged until they were breathless did they act.

After many pleas, they finally recovered the lost items.

Looking at the result, the owners were so grateful to the Uchiha that they almost knelt down.

As a result, Uchiha's reputation and strength have both improved.
