After Ishigami Hara left, the yard was very quiet, and no one spoke.

Pakura and Baki looked at each other and saw fear in each other's eyes.

They touched their backs, but found that they didn't know when their backs had become soaked.

Obviously, the scene just now had brought great pressure to both of them.

It was also at that moment that they realized how terrifying Ishigami Hara, as Hokage, truly was.

"Sasori!"

Ebizo spoke in a deep voice, staring at the other party, and said: "I will inform Lord Kazekage about this matter after returning. As for how to deal with you, we will not discuss it now. Your main task is to get a good ranking in this Chūnin exam."

Sasori just lowered his head, clenched his fists, and did not respond.

"Go back, and don't spread this matter!" Ebizo said, then walked into the room alone.

Pakura and Baki looked at Sasori, wanting to say something, but didn't know how to start.

In the end, Sasori was the only one left in the yard.

It was unknown how long it took before Sasori finally took action.

He approached the tree, squatted down, carefully checking his puppet, and then frowned, even showing a look of surprise.

It was unknown what he saw.

On the other side, Ishigami Hara left the residence of the Sunagakure team and moved on to the next location.

What had just occurred didn't seem to affect him at all, and he even had a slight smile on his lips as he departed. "I wonder if the little guy saw what was left there."

Having said this, he shook his head slightly and stopped thinking about it.

Ishigami Hara then went to the area where the test team from Iwagakure was staying.

The leader, a Jōnin Ishigami Hara had seen on the battlefield before, was a young man named Kitsuchi, a little older than Ishigami Hara.

Ishigami Hara knew that this man was the son of the Tsuchikage, Ōnoki.

As for the three participating teenagers, Ishigami Hara only had a vague impression of one of them, a fat guy named Akatsuchi. He would later become a bodyguard for Ōnoki. The other two left no impression.

It seemed that Iwagakure was either losing talent or unwilling to send young shinobi with real potential. It could have been to hide their strength, or it could have been due to a lack of talent. In any case, Ishigami Hara no longer paid attention after seeing them.

The communication with the Iwagakure team was smooth. Surface-level etiquette and courtesy were maintained, and the two sides had a pleasant conversation.

Next, they visited the residences of the Kumogakure and Kirigakure teams. The former was led by Blue B, whom Ishigami Hara had once captured. There was a girl in the team named Yugito Nii, who would later become the Jinchūriki of the Two-Tails. As for the other two, Ishigami Hara had no particular impression.

The shinobi from Kumogakure were very proud, but that depended on who they were with. When it came to Ishigami Hara, they had no grounds for pride, so the whole process went smoothly.

However, Blue B, in Ishigami Hara's opinion, had some problems.

The main issue seemed to be mental, and it was unclear what kind of trauma he had experienced. In any case, Ishigami Hara sensed that his mental state was very depressed.

This wasn't visible on the outside, but Ishigami Hara, possessing the Mind's Eye of Kagura with its amazing perception, could still pick up on some clues.

Thinking of this person's ending, Ishigami Hara could understand it a little.

It likely had to do with Kumogakure.

After all, Blue B had been captured by Konoha.

Although he was returned, such events likely left a grudge in both Blue B's heart and the hearts of the people of Kumogakure.

In this way, Blue B's fate seemed sealed.

Ishigami Hara did not feel sorry for this, merely respecting the destiny of others.

But Ishigami Hara paid a little attention to his—not out of sympathy, but due to a sense of caution. After all, this was a joint Chūnin exam with many outsiders, and in a mixed crowd, no one could be sure how many people with ulterior motives were hidden among them.

Finally, there were the people from Kirigakure. This village gave Ishigami Hara a very peculiar feeling. It was as if the whole event didn't concern them at all.

Though they sent participants, they seemed indifferent to the Joint Chūnin Exam.

The competitors they sent were not geniuses, but rather real Genin.

At least in Ishigami Hara's view, the three teenagers participating in the competition lacked any distinguishing features.

Instead, it was the teacher leading the team that piqued Ishigami Hara's interest.

Yagura!

With a natural baby face, he looked younger than Ishigami Hara, but Ishigami Hara knew this man was older and even had a child.

Because of the original plot, Ishigami Hara paid special attention to Yagura. Without conducting a major investigation, he didn't find any suspicious clues. But much like Blue B, Yagura remained under Ishigami Hara's watch.

After meeting the shinobi from the major villages, only the smaller villages remained.

Ishigami Hara didn't need to meet these personally and instead had them brought to the Hokage office for a group reception, showing Konoha's courtesy toward the smaller shinobi villages.

Ishigami Hara's time wasn't to be wasted on this. He had more pressing matters to deal with, the Chūnin exam being the top priority.

The exam was divided into three sections: a written test, a team battle, and an individual ranking battle. Konoha had a well-established system for this, so Ishigami Hara made only a few optimizations to it. The rest would be handled by dedicated personnel.

Time passed quickly, and in the blink of an eye, a few days had passed. The joint Chūnin exam was held as scheduled.

On this day, Konoha was very lively. People went out early, and those with tickets eagerly awaited the rare spectacle of the ninja world.

The written test had already ended.

It had been conducted in secret, so few paid attention to it.

Those who failed the written portion had already lost their qualifications for the next competition.

Less than 20% of the contestants were eliminated during this phase, which indicated the quality of the participants.

Starting from the second round, the team battle, Konoha began selling tickets to the public.

The test was held in the Forest of Death. Konoha had already arranged viewing points throughout the forest, protected by special barriers, so spectators could safely watch the battles.

For this test, Ishigami Hara made optimizations. Instead of the traditional Earth-Heaven scroll hunt, teams would compete for points.

In short, teams that earned three points would qualify for the next stage. Defeating a team earned one point, but the defeated teams could still participate in the next round unless they chose to withdraw voluntarily.

Killing was strictly prohibited in this test. Not because Ishigami Hara was merciful, but because it allowed for a more enjoyable viewing experience for the spectators.

It shouldn't be forgotten that Ishigami Hara valued business greatly. Where there was money to be made, he would never hesitate.

As for the Chūnin Exam, Ishigami Hara would not hold back the power he wielded. If he desired, even allowing all participants to pass wasn't out of the question. As long as Konoha benefited from it, the details mattered little to Ishigami Hara.
