Naruto: With the Right Pay, Kick Out the Five Kage

Chapter 12: Chapter 12 Punching Out Of Get Off Work

Like a comet crashing into the earth.

A dazzling golden flash filled Jiraiya's entire field of vision in an instant.

Simu transformed into a streak of golden light and appeared before Jiraiya in the blink of an eye.

Not wanting to give his opponent any chance to react, Simu didn't even bother saying a classic one-liner.

Instead, he swung his leg and delivered a fierce kick straight to Jiraiya's stomach!

The golden light was blinding, and the sheer force of the attack shattered Jiraiya's body into smoke.

The golden flash then continued streaking through the dissipating smoke, finally landing deep in the Forest of Death.

Watching the light approach rapidly, Jiraiya's real body—hidden within the dense forest—felt an immense pressure.

His instincts, honed from years of battle, screamed at him.

If he didn't take this attack seriously, something terrible might happen.

Without hesitation, he bit his finger.

Summoning Jutsu!

A massive section of a toad's stomach wall appeared, using the mighty body of the toad as a shield against the incoming strike.

The golden flash made contact, instantly erupting into a violent explosion that consumed countless trees.

BOOM!

The deafening blast sent shockwaves through the air, flames swallowing the trees, and startling an unknown number of cawing crows.

At the same time, far away on Mount Myōboku, a massive toad let out an agonized screech.

The largest toad of Mount Myōboku, one that rarely opened its eyes, suddenly stirred.

Cursing, it muttered, "What kind of monster has that brat Jiraiya provoked?"

Moments ago, Jiraiya had summoned a part of its body to block Simu's attack.

Given its mountain-like size, Jiraiya could only summon a small portion.

"My apologies, Great Toad Yansu," Jiraiya muttered, patting the stomach wall before dispelling the summoning.

Not far away, Simu still held his kicking posture.

Jiraiya's clone had been completely obliterated, leaving behind only a half-melted bell, scorched by the sheer heat.

Hands in his pockets, Simu finally took a moment to casually deliver his delayed line.

"Speed is power."

As Jiraiya disappeared, the tension in the air eased.

Freed from their restraints, Kushina and Minato stood still, yet to fully recover from what they had just witnessed.

Their gazes locked onto Simu.

What kind of monster are you?!

Emerging from the Forest of Death, Jiraiya rubbed his temples, his head aching.

When he looked at Simu, his eyes carried a mix of shock and disbelief.

Then, he glanced at Kushina, his expression seeming to ask:

Is she the Nine-Tails Jinchūriki, or are you?!

Thinking back to that previous attack, Jiraiya still felt a lingering sense of fear.

Even if a Jōnin from the village had taken that blow unprepared, they would have suffered at least a severe injury.

Simu casually withdrew his leg as rustling sounds came from the surrounding forest.

No doubt the Anbu have already reported this to the Third Hokage.

But he didn't care.

What truly mattered was…

"Jiraiya-sensei, does this count as our victory?"

Simu twirled the half-melted bell on his finger.

Jiraiya let out a long sigh.

The task was simple: to retrieve the bell.

Yet now, Simu not only had the bell but had also obliterated Jiraiya's clone with a single kick.

What argument could he possibly make?

Helplessly, he nodded.

"The assessment is over… and yes, you passed. Very successfully, I might add."

Originally, he had planned to give these kids a tough time, humble them a little, and then deliver a heartfelt speech about the importance of teamwork and bonds.

But after witnessing Simu's raw power firsthand, he suddenly felt like Konoha's future was incredibly bright.

Maybe he just needs a little more motivation.

"Well, that settles it."

Simu smiled in satisfaction, shoving his hands back into his pockets.

Turning to Kushina, he asked, "So… where's my fifty thousand taels?"

Kushina rolled her eyes.

"Relax, I won't owe you!"

Still, she couldn't help but feel a little bitter.

She had come to Konoha alone, and fifty thousand taels was basically her living expenses for an entire month.

Simu smirked.

"Fine, I'll let you pay me back once you start earning from missions."

Once again, he donned his "coat of justice," acting just as nonchalant and carefree as before.

There was no trace of the terrifying powerhouse who had delivered that devastating kick moments ago.

After dusting off his clothes, Simu casually glanced at his watch.

Then, he raised his hand and asked, "Jiraiya-sensei, it's already five o'clock… Shouldn't we be, you know… getting off work?"

Jiraiya let out a long, heavy sigh.

This guy was way too lazy.

It was only five o'clock…

But thinking back to how he had effortlessly kicked apart his clone, Jiraiya couldn't even find a reason to refuse.

"…Fine. Get off work."

Simu turned and strolled away.

Kushina and Minato exchanged helpless glances before shaking their heads.

Jiraiya hesitated for a moment before speaking again.

"Well, since it's our first day working together… how about I treat you all to some barbecue?"

Simu stopped in his tracks, rubbing his chin.

"Hmm… that's a pretty good offer."

Kushina, however, grabbed Simu's shoulder, her face dark.

"Simu, I highly suggest you stop making that smug face before I smack it off you!"
