Naruto's God-level System

Chapter 1: Chapter 1: Akira is dead

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Akira is dead.

He passed away peacefully.

If otakus have one thing in common, it's their way of dying—phone in hand, gaming, leaning against the couch, a sudden and silent departure.

"Where... is this?"

"Why am I here? What the hell is this place?"

Akira's eyelids fluttered open. His vision adjusted to the dim surroundings, revealing a rough, cavernous expanse. His limbs felt weak, his body sluggish, and jagged stones surrounded him in every direction.

"Was I… kidnapped?" His brows furrowed. "I remember playing a game just before—"

Before he could piece things together, voices echoed from the cave's depths, sharp and unmistakably urgent.

"Orochimaru-sensei! Human experimentation is explicitly forbidden! If you continue, the Third Hokage will brand you a traitor!"

"Tsk, tsk, Anko, you're too naive. Otherwise, I wouldn't have had the heart to leave my mark on you."

Akira's breath hitched.

Anko? Orochimaru?

A cold realization dawned.

"Wait… I've time-traveled?!"

His mind reeled. He could understand every word of their Japanese exchange, despite never speaking the language himself.

"This… this must be a perk of transmigration! HA! I really did it!"

A mix of disbelief and excitement surged through him. As a devoted otaku, time travel had always been his dream. And the game that had quite literally played him to death?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Naruto Online.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just as he was about to celebrate his newfound reality, a sharp Ding Dong! rang inside his head.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

[System detected: Host has awakened. Newcomer gift package issued.]

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Akira's initial glee faded as he processed the message.

"…Beginner level? Are you kidding me?"

He knew exactly what that meant—Genin-tier at best. Sure, Naruto had plenty of cases where lower-ranked shinobi could outmatch elites, but let's be real: he wasn't Naruto. He didn't have protagonist-level talent.

Just as he was about to curse his luck, another Ding Dong! interrupted him.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Akira froze.

His gaze locked onto the final reward.

Shinra Tensei.

The gravity-defying technique that had once decimated Konoha in an instant.

The ultimate flex.

This… this was a once-in-a-lifetime chance!

Even though his stats were garbage-tier right now, he had no choice but to try.

Taking a deep breath, he pressed his palm against the rough stone wall, focusing on the sounds beyond. Orochimaru and Anko were still locked in their argument.

"Orochimaru-sensei! Stop this madness!""Don't be foolish, Anko. If you just accept my gift, you'll understand true power."

If he didn't act now, it would be too late.

Akira straightened up, took a deep breath, and—

"STOP! Put the girl down!"

His voice rang out, cutting through the cavern's tension like a blade.

Silence.

Orochimaru paused mid-sentence, his snake-like eyes narrowing. Anko, bound to a stone pillar, stared in shock.

"Who…?"

A new presence appearing in his secret hideout? Completely unnoticed? Orochimaru's expression darkened.

Akira swallowed hard.

He was terrified.

But showing fear now meant certain death.

So, instead, he squared his shoulders and forced a smirk.

"Orochimaru-sama, I've been sent by my leader to negotiate."

The sannin's gaze sharpened. "Leader?"

"Yes. You know him well—Pain of the Akatsuki."

For the first time, genuine interest flickered in Orochimaru's serpentine eyes.

"Akatsuki…?" he murmured.

Akira pressed forward. "My leader has long been aware of your… ambitions. He's been waiting for you. We even brought you a special gift—Uchiha Itachi's body."

Orochimaru stiffened.

For a moment, Akira thought he'd overplayed his hand—but then, the sannin's lips curled into a hungry grin.

"You have my attention."

Bingo.

Now came the most critical part.

Akira's gaze flickered toward Anko, tied up and helpless.

"That girl has heard too much. We need to bring her as well."

If Orochimaru agreed, Akira could walk out of this cave with Anko intact.

And then?

Step 1: Survive.

Step 2: Shinra Tensei.

Step 3: Profit.

His heart pounded. Now, he just had to see if Orochimaru would take the bait.
