During the following days, the team gradually returned to their regular training routine, gearing up for the upcoming Interhigh preliminaries. The gym buzzed with energy as everyone dedicated themselves to intense practice.
"Hey, Shiro, Shiro! Tomorrow is the practice game between Seirin and Kaijo. Let's go watch Kuroko and Kise play!"
After Shiro finished his training, Momoi walked up beside him, her face glowing with excitement. It had been a long time since she'd seen the other members of the Generation of Miracles.
"Sure, sounds like a plan! It's in Kanagawa, right? Let's invite Nijimura to join us" Shiro replied, his eyes lighting up with enthusiasm.
He was eager to witness the first match-up between Kuroko and Kise. After all, they were both formidable players from the Generation of Miracles. Shiro was also curious to see how Kagami had developed as a player.
With that thought, Shiro grabbed Momoi's hand and headed over to Nijimura.
"Nijimura, there's a game tomorrow between Kuroko and Kise. Let's go to Kanagawa and watch it!" Shiro's face lit up with anticipation as he spoke.
Nijimura smiled slightly and nodded. "Of course, I'd love to see Kuroko and Kise in action."
Curious, he added, "By the way, which schools did Kuroko and Kise end up at?"
Shiro quickly replied, "Kuroko's at Seirin in Tokyo, and Kise joined Kaijo in Kanagawa."
Hearing this, Nijimura's expression softened with nostalgia.
"It's been such a long time since I've seen them" he mused, a hint of fondness in his eyes.
"What's going on here? Why is everyone gathered around?" Kawamura approached the group.
"Kawamura, tomorrow two of my middle school teammates from the Generation of Miracles are playing a practice match. We're planning to watch it. Would you like to come along?"
Knowing Kawamura's interest in basketball, Shiro extended the invitation, thinking the outing would be more fun with a bigger group.
"Your middle school teammates? Two members of the Generation of Miracles?" Kawamura's eyes lit up with curiosity.
"Yep!" Shiro answered with a grin.
"Alright, count me in! Let me know when we're heading out tomorrow!" Kawamura eagerly agreed, excited at the chance to see the legendary players in action.
The next day came quickly, and Shiro and his group set out early.
As they entered Kaijo High's gates, they spotted the gymnasium in the distance and headed that way.
Midway there, they noticed a group of students in Kaijo's black-and-white uniforms walking along the same path. Among them were two particularly eye-catching individuals — one with bright blonde hair and the other with striking red hair.
Kise approached Kagami with a smirk and said, "I don't really care about the 'Generation of Miracles' title, but since you've openly challenged me, don't expect me to go easy on you. I won't hold back this time!"
Hearing this, Kagami grinned, flashing his sharp white teeth as his eyes gleamed with excitement. "Bring it on!"
As the two squared off, Shiro chuckled and walked over with his group. "Long time no see, Kise, Kuroko."
The familiar voice interrupted their banter. Surprised, Kise looked past Seirin's team and his eyes widened in recognition before breaking into a joyful smile.
"Shiro! What are you doing here? Don't tell me you came all this way just to see me!"
Shiro smiled back and shook his head. "Don't get ahead of yourself. Take a look at who's with me first." He stepped aside, revealing Nijimura.
Kise's jaw dropped in shock before breaking into an exuberant grin. "Nijimura! It's really you! Long time no see!"
He ran forward and hugged Nijimura tightly. Laughing softly, Nijimura patted him on the back. "Alright, alright, calm down. Let go before you crush me."
Reluctantly, Kise let go, his face still glowing with happiness.
At that moment, a shadow suddenly appeared beside them, moving silently like a phantom. Nijimura and Momoi jumped in surprise, exclaiming instinctively.
Meanwhile, Shiro remained composed, smiling as he turned to the newcomer.
"Long time no see, Nijimura, Shiro, and Momoi" the shadow spoke calmly. It was none other than Kuroko.
Clutching her chest, Momoi peeked out from behind Shiro, cautiously observing Kuroko. After a while, she stepped out and greeted him politely, "Hello, Kuroko!"
Kise then noticed another unfamiliar face among the group and asked curiously, "Who's this?"
"Oh, this is our team captain, Yuki Kawamura" Nijimura introduced.
Kise nodded politely. "Nice to meet you!"
"Likewise" Kawamura responded with a friendly smile.
