NEMESIS: HATE AT FIRST LOVE.

Chapter 29: CAN'T THINK STRAIGHT.

HARRO.

I was lost in a vivid dream about Orion, but his whispered words tickled my ear, disrupting my peaceful slumber. His lips brushed against my earlobe, sending shivers down my spine. I growled, my grip on him tightening as I shifted, trying to get comfortable, I don't like that he's an early riser.

"You're making it worse by moving like that." I heard Orion whispered. His voice sounded forced and his breathing strained.

I want to open my eyes but I still feel sleepy, I wiggled trying to turn onto my side, but his hand held me in place as he whispered a slow, "Fuck... please stop moving"

What is he talking about, I wondered trying to get back to my dream and that's when I felt it – something hard pressing against my stomach. My eyes widened, and I sprang up, realizing I'd been lying on top of him the whole time.

"Then, the dream I was having..." I trailed off, my voice laced with surprise.

Orion chuckled, cutting me off. "Wasn't a dream, love." he said, glancing between his legs. I gasped, my face heating up with embarrassment. My body had been moving against his in my sleep, thinking it was all just a dream. And now, he was rock-hard, his arousal unmistakable. I'd really outdone myself this time.

Orion greeted me with a warm smile, his lips brushing against my forehead. "Good morning, handsome." he whispered, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Did you enjoy your sleep? Seems you did." he teased, clearly referencing my unconscious caresses.

I blushed, and Orion chuckled, disappearing into the bathroom. I followed after a while, finding him already in the shower. I stepped behind him, wrapping my arms around his chiseled torso. He hugged my hands closer, and we stood there, enveloped in the hot shower's misty veil.

After a comfortable silence, Orion turned to face me, his smile radiant. He wiped water from his face, his eyes locking onto mine. "Hi, handsome." I whispered, my lips meeting his. Orion took over, his kiss dominating mine. I surrendered, melting into his possessive embrace. I loved when he got possessive – it was intoxicating, and I felt cherished.

After a while he pulled away from my lips, a soft, radiant smile still playing on his face as we both struggled to catch our breath. The warm steam of the shower enveloped us like a comforting blanket, its gentle cascade a soothing symphony against our skin. With a sudden movement, he drew me into a tight hug, and I melted into his embrace, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat against mine. The water streamed down around us, creating a shimmering curtain that blurred the world outside, making it feel like just the two of us existed in our own little paradise.

As the warmth wrapped around us, we took our time, playfully washing each other with soft, fragrant soap that filled the air with hints of lavender and vanilla. Our laughter echoed off the tiled walls, intertwining with the sound of dripping water, creating a melody of intimacy. Every brush of our hands sent tingles across my skin, cementing the bond we shared in this blissful moment.

Eventually, the shower came to an end, and Orion helped me dry my hair with a towel, his fingers dancing through my damp locks with surprising care. The air was filled with the scent of warmth, and I felt a sense of ease, as if everything else faded away when he was near.

Feeling bold, I suggested, "Why don't I follow you to work today?" I looked up at him, my excitement bubbling while he simply raised his eyebrows, a mix of amusement and disbelief washing over his features as he shook his head.

"Why not?" I pressed, puzzled by his immediate refusal. Surely, there was no harm in spending a little more time together.

"What is this, bring your boyfriend to work day?" he retorted teasingly, reaching for a tie, the fabric dangling in front of him like a banner of responsibility.

"Why can't it be?" I challenged, my brows furrowing in confusion. Why was he making such a fuss over this? I wasn't going there as his boyfriend to his employees, for all they know I would just be his business associate.

"You're not serious about this, are you? Won't you work? What if you get bored?" His voice carried a hint of worry, and I sensed a barrier forming between us, tightening like the knot in the tie he was now attempting to wrap around his neck.

"I don't need to go to my office to work," I countered, suddenly digging in, drawn by some playful defiance. "Why will I get bored when you're there?I can work in your office. You won't even know I'm there, I promise!" I spilled the last part a bit too eagerly, fully aware that he saw through my playful promise, yet begging with my eyes for him to reconsider.

Orion chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "You're not exactly the quiet, be on your best behavior type, love. You're more like a force of nature – unpredictable and devilishly captivating."

I grinned, feeling a flutter in my chest. "Hey, that's not fair! I can be quiet...for a little while, at least. Please let me come with you to work."

His steady gaze lingered on me, a mixture of exasperation and affection flickering in his eyes. It was a moment laced with tension, and I loved him for caring about how I'd faired in his company, but that's not up to him. I'm only interested in spending time with him, even if it was just another precious hour together.

I held my breath, making a puppy dog's eyes at him, he sighed running his hand through his hair and I sensed his resolve weakening, I bit my bottom lip while pouting for extra measures.Time to work my charm.

Orion raise his brows in amusement at my dramatics before accepting my offer reluctantly and i cheered hugging him with a wide smile "Thank you so much! You won't regret it" I promised and he rolled his eyes before muttering, "Oh, I'm sure I will" under his breath and I laughed. I love the fact that he knows what I was capable of.
