Netkama Punch!!!

chapter 54

‘Yuna again…’
Any lingering respect I’d almost felt disappeared in an instant. And, as if on cue, the viewers watching the stream suddenly began to mistake me for Yuna.

LIVE Chat
● Wait, that was Yuna?
● Saenyang is Yuna?

● I knew it from the second he said “girlfriend” smh
“She’s not Yuna.”
Shin Heejae did clarify, but the chat didn’t care. They kept spiraling into their own delusions, convinced the two of us were dating.

Heejae ignored the rising noise and continued streaming. A couple of hours later, the stream finally ended.
But just because the stream was over didn’t mean he let me go. The moment I stood up, he threw out the weirdest suggestion.
“SeYoung, there’s a siege war tonight. Wanna join?”

I scowled.
“Why the hell would I do that?”
At my icy response, Heejae shrugged. Then, without warning, he dropped a bomb.

“Mm. Yuna left the clan, so we don’t have a support healer.”
“…What?”
My eyes widened. When did that happen? But Heejae just kept talking like it was no big deal.

“And she took, like, almost twenty members with her.”
“…Why?”
“Said she was leaving with the people she got close to.”

That could only mean one thing—something went down between Heejae and Yuna. And I had a bad feeling about it.
“…You got in a fight with her?”
“……”
He didn’t answer. But it didn’t feel like denial.

Heejae avoided my gaze and stared at the desk, unusually quiet. For someone who always ran his mouth no matter the situation, the fact that he wasn’t saying anything felt… ominous.
So I asked again.
“What happened?”

“…Dunno.”
He gave a vague, evasive answer. Clearly didn’t want to talk about it.
The more he kept his mouth shut, the worse I felt. The longer I thought about it, the more it felt like I was the reason they fell out.

‘Back when I brought him home drunk… didn’t Heejae say he’d stop talking to Yuna after that? Is that what caused all this…?’
The memory hit late, and I grimaced. And the more I thought about it, the harder it became to even blame Yuna for any of this.
‘Honestly, if the roles were reversed…’

Even as just friends, what happened would’ve pissed me off too. From her perspective, someone she’d been close with suddenly cut contact. And all because of something I said.
Still… twenty people leaving with her?
That felt like overkill.

I stared down at Heejae, confused and unsettled.
‘Is this really because of me? Or did he do something stupid again?’
I didn’t want to admit I was the wedge between them. I clenched my jaw and bit down on my lip—until Heejae suddenly stood up. Maybe he took my silence as a firm “no.”

“Then I’ll walk you home.”
“Huh?”
“There’s three hours till the siege starts.”

“……”
Something about that sentence made my chest tighten. I just stared at him, unsure what to say, while he grabbed his phone and headed toward the door.
Before I could stop myself, I called out to him.

“Hey…! Don’t you have any mercs or someone to help?”
Heejae paused and turned around. He looked at me for a second—like he was trying to figure something out—then sighed quietly.
“Yuna left today. Too short notice.”

His face was unreadable.
Normally, I would’ve smirked and said something like, Good. Hope you lose your territory and crash and burn. But somehow… it didn’t feel right this time.
The situation had hit him harder than expected, and for once, I found myself genuinely unsettled. Before I realized it, I was meddling.

“…No, I mean… you don’t have anyone who can come?”
“I’m trying to find someone.”
“……”

“But the people who left with Yuna were all DPS we were counting on. They’re ranker-level players—it’s not easy to replace them °• N 𝑜 v 𝑒 l i g h t •° overnight.”
It was worse than I thought.
The deeper I understood the situation, the more I felt like I was sinking into a swamp. Yuna blowing up the clan like that… felt like it really was because of me.

‘No, but seriously, why the hell is this my fault?’
I was pissed—but what bothered me most was how uncharacteristically defeated Heejae looked. Eventually, guilt got the best of me, and I said something I’d regret for a long time.
“…Then… if you still can’t find a healer…”

He looked up.
“…I’ll do it.”
“…What?”

“Sigh… I said I’ll do it. If you really can’t find anyone…”
The second the words left my mouth, I regretted them. I trailed off, but it was too late. He’d heard it loud and clear. Heejae paused for a beat… then gave me his usual infuriating smile.
“SeYoung, are you worried about me?”

God, what a punchable line.
“You psycho! Wanna die?!”
He didn’t flinch, not even after the insult.

“Or is it because you think Yuna left the clan because of you?”
“…!”
I was speechless. Meanwhile, he chuckled like he’d just won the lottery.

And then—
“Don’t overthink stuff like that.”
He didn’t say it like he was trying to comfort me. His tone was detached, cocky even. But somehow… it eased something in me.

Like he’d cut off my spiraling thoughts with a single sentence.
“…So it’s not because of me?”
I asked quietly—just in case there was another reason behind it all. Heejae shrugged again.

“Who knows. She left so suddenly I didn’t get to ask.”
“…Then…”
“Whatever. Leaving or joining a clan is up to the player.”

He said it like it was nothing, just another Tuesday. And for once, I actually appreciated his tone.
The way he made it sound like Yuna leaving—and the mass exodus that followed—didn’t bother him at all. Even if it was just bravado… it was better than seeing him mopey or pathetic.
And then, I felt it.

A kind of stubborn determination.
I’d always had more reason to hate Heejae than Yuna ever did. So if anyone was going to bring this asshole down, it sure as hell should be me. Not some internal drama ruining him from the inside.
I squared my shoulders and told him coldly:

“Then go find your mercs already.”
“You sure you don’t want me to walk you home?”
“I’m just gonna watch till the siege starts.”

“That works.”
I made up some excuse and stayed with him through the pre-siege prep. In the end, Heejae never did manage to find another healer. So I logged in as [Sesam] and received siege items from him.
But unlike before, I didn’t feel any shame about helping him.

This wasn’t for his sake.
Don’t get it twisted.
I glared at that smugly grinning bastard and cursed him silently in my head.

Party Clan Friend Whisper
CYeou: What do we do…

[Degeuldegeul] was in even worse shape than expected. The number of members online was far fewer than during previous siege wars, and most of those logged in were either stunned by the sudden departures or actively panicking.
Yeou, in particular, was freaking out.
Honestly, I was surprised he was still in the clan. Especially since…

Lemonzzup and Hooha—Yeou’s closest in-clan friends—had followed Yuna and left the clan.

Now, Yeou was the only one from that group still sticking around. And of course, Shin Heejae didn’t thank him or anything.
Party Clan Friend Whisper
CHeejae: Why didn’t you leave ㅇ_ㅇ?

CYeou: Why would I?? ㅠㅠ It’s siege day, I can’t leave now ㅠㅠ
CHeejae: But like… why not tho lol
CHeejae: Cap

CYeou: ㅜㅜ So mean…
He was still bullying Yeou like always, as if nothing had changed.
