Nine Star Hegemon Body Arts

Chapter 5681: Domineering Guo Ran

Within the vast violet world, countless factions watched apprehensively as the Ten Thousand Dragon Nest slowly advanced. Whispers spread among them; none could determine which branch of the dragon race it belonged to.

“Hey, dragons, you’re heading in the wrong direction. Your territory is on the other side. If you plan on sweeping through the violet world, you’ll suffer for it.” A deep, rumbling voice resonated through the air.

The speaker belonged to a group of imposing lifeforms, their male and female members alike towering with thick muscles. Their large ears drooped to their shoulders, and their bald heads gleamed under the violet sky. Radiating oppressive Blood Qi, each of them had the aura of a battle-hardened warrior.

Their leader called out to the advancing Ten Thousand Dragon Nest, not afraid of it. He was unhappy with it flying over their heads, so he gave Long Chen and the others a warning.

In truth, the strongest factions had long since secured the best positions around the Emperor reverse scale.

The space around the Emperor reverse scale was a forbidden zone, guarded by incomprehensible laws. Those who dared to test its limits met swift and merciless ends, their bodies crushed without resistance. One monstrous expert had scoffed at the warnings, and his life became the evidence to the scale’s lethal nature. His shattered remains left a chilling message for all: a step beyond the boundary, and death would follow.

Yet, just outside this deadly perimeter, power pulsed in waves. The closer one got to the Emperor reverse scale, the more energy they could absorb. Only the strongest could claim the prime spots near the violet light ring. Naturally, the dragon race had secured an area within this coveted region.

As beings closest to the Emperor reverse scale’s essence, the dragons absorbed its energy at an unmatched rate, their power swelling rapidly. Moreover, as they had immense numbers, no one was willing to provoke them.

The dragon race had its own legacies to uphold, and their strongest had arrived from the opposite direction—where their inheritance lay waiting.

Long Chen, however, had no idea about their existence. And even if he had known, it had nothing to do with him. The dragon race of today was a shattered remnant of its former glory, divided by bloodlines, grudges, and ambition.

Just then, an arrogant voice cut through the tense silence.

“Who did you say would suffer?”

All eyes turned toward the Ten Thousand Dragon Nest, where a lone figure stood atop its mighty frame. Bathed in a golden glow, Guo Ran exuded confidence as he gazed down at the crowd.

“A human?”

These lifeforms jumped in surprise. Until now, they had assumed the Ten Thousand Dragon Nest carried a force of dragons—yet here was a human, standing unchallenged at its peak.

“Damn ants, how dare you trick us?!”

A nine-vein Heaven Saint from among them erupted with fury. His body blurred as he stomped the ground, launching himself forward like a meteor.

Imbued with the raw power of his nine veins, his fist blasted toward Guo Ran’s face. “Die!”

But before the blow could land, golden light shone around Guo Ran’s head, and his battle helmet formed in an instant. As a result, the fist ended up striking the helmet.

CRACK!

To the onlookers’ surprise, the nine-vein Heaven Saint’s fist shattered, and a pained scream tore through the battlefield as he was sent hurtling backward.

Meanwhile, Guo Ran stood still with his hands clasped behind his back, as if he had never been attacked in the first place.

“Why bother?” Xia Chen sighed, rolling his eyes.

Guo Ran’s battle armor was newly forged, infused with countless dragon runes. Now that he had reached the nine-vein Heaven Saint realm, he could unleash its full potential. However, his armor functioned as a set. While the helmet alone possessed a complete defensive formation, without the support of the other pieces, its defensive properties were greatly reduced.

To those watching, Guo Ran had shrugged off his opponent’s attack effortlessly and looked unshaken But Xia Chen knew better. The backlash from such an impact had to be rattling Guo Ran’s senses. RἈℕ𝐨𝖇ЁŠ

The fact that Guo Ran hadn’t moved—or spoken—meant he was silently enduring the aftershock, trying to recover. After all, his opponent was a nine-vein Heaven Saint. Someone who could reach this point couldn’t possibly be a weakling.

A single breath passed. Then, with an impatient sneer, Guo Ran finally spoke.

“Is that it? Aren’t you going to continue?”

The wounded expert’s expression twisted in both rage and shock. He wasn’t foolish enough to strike again without considering his opponent’s strength. With a flicker of divine energy, his destroyed arm regenerated in an instant.

“You despicable human,” he spat, his teeth grinding. “You only know how to use tricks and schemes! What else can you do?!”

With a cold snarl, this expert summoned a glaive, its razor-edged blade gleaming with deadly intent. After channeling all his power into the weapon, he lunged forward.

When his glaive was about to strike Guo Ran’s head, a hand wearing a metal glove caught it.

Now clad in golden armor, Guo Ran’s right arm tightened around the glaive’s shaft. He still refused to summon his full battle set. However, with a casual squeeze, the blade of the glaive shattered into fragments.

“You’re using a weapon made by my race, yet you still have the face to curse us humans? You really are an animal,” said Guo Ran coldly.

Following that, a streak of light flashed, and that expert’s head went flying.

“Kill him!”

The slain lifeform’s allies roared in unison. Murderous intent surged as millions of them erupted forward, like a wave of wrath going toward the Ten Thousand Dragon Nest.

Without a hint of urgency, Guo Ran simply extended his other hand, flicking out a small, apple-sized bead.

It tumbled lazily through the air.

His simple action didn’t raise any suspicions. After all, the attackers were too consumed by rage to notice. The moment their feet left the ground, the bead nestled itself amongst them.

Then, Guo Ran’s metallic voice rang out.

“Explode—Soul Devouring Bead!”

BOOM!

A lotus of destruction bloomed. Flames and lightning intertwined in a chaotic dance of annihilation, tearing through flesh like a storm of blades.

Even Long Chen couldn’t help but raise a brow.

“This fellow…”

He immediately recognized the technique—Guo Ran was imitating the Lightning Flame World Extermination.

Guo Ran didn’t possess true flame energy or thunderforce, but such a small problem would never stop him. Using divine metals infused with elemental runes, he had crafted his own version of Lightning Flame World Extermination. And judging by the results, it was every bit as terrifying.

Screams filled the air as lifeforms were shredded apart. Those with fewer than six core veins were reduced to smoldering remains in an instant. Even the stronger ones were left crippled, their bodies riddled with wounds.

“Thousand Arrow!”

With a swift motion, he drew a golden crossbow and fired.

It was a single shot. But in the blink of an eye, that lone arrow fractured into thousands, a maelstrom of golden death raining down from above.

Every arrow found its mark, and heads exploded like ripe fruit. Even nine-vein Heaven Saints had their skulls punctured before they could react.

Now, corpses were all over the ground. The powerful group of lifeforms had been annihilated just like that, shocking the onlookers.

Resting his crossbow on his shoulder, Guo Ran shouted, “This Emperor reverse scale belongs to my Dragonblood Legion! An unprecedented bloodbath is coming. If anyone dares to stand in our way, don’t blame me, Guo Ran, for not showing mercy!”

He swept his gaze over the crowd, eyes gleaming with contempt.

“Of course, if any of you are eager to reincarnate, by all means—step forward. The Dragonblood Legion will gladly send you on your way. Otherwise, piss off!”

Guo Ran’s words were incredibly arrogant, but his ruthless display had shattered their will. As a result, even the most battle-hardened experts hesitated, no longer daring to claim the Emperor reverse scale for themselves. One by one, they stepped aside, forming a path without a single word of protest.

The Ten Thousand Dragon Nest slowly continued onwards, with Guo Ran standing on top of it. He looked down at the people below, looking unspeakably domineering.

Just as the silence threatened to settle, a voice, dripping with disdain, echoed from the depths of the violet world.

“The Dragonblood Legion, is it?”

A powerful surge of divine energy rippled through the air.

“Long Chen, have you finished washing your neck?"
